HEY, Thurston H: MAKE SURE you pass this along…read more How do you review EVERYBODY? I met perhaps dozens of people. This is for the Emergency Dept. and Ninth Floor Kellogg. I'm in the Northwestern system, but the ambulance had to take me to Rush because it's so close. All I can say is that EVERYONE did a tremendous job with me. They responded to every request I had. They explained every test, procedure, IV and medication--which I demand--without me having to drag information out of them. I didn't feel like I was caught up in a slow bureaucracy, or was just another revenue source. They made me very comfortable as I was improving. "Close the door and turn off the light please." And they did, every time! Sounds small, but it was a huge comfort. They thought of me instead of only making things easier for themselves, which I've experienced. When I could eat real food, I got a big plate of pot roast and mashed potatoes; not bad! But who eats that much? :-)) One HUGE problem. The in-room phone rang off the GD hook with AI robocalls trying to sell me everything from funeral insurance to grocery programs to therapy. I needed to keep the phone live because my mobile phone was dead for awhile. If I hung up, they'd call back Immediately. You know how many distractions there are to sleep in a hospital? THESE CALLS DOUBLED THOSE INTERRUPTIONS. Woke me up EVERY time. RUSH: These calls are a substantial and authentic obstacle to getting well, which is your business. I mentioned it to a doctor, and he had a resigned "That happens." NOT good enough. They've GOT to do something about that. It felt like way more than a coincidence that those calls were coming in. It is nothing more than TOTAL B.S. But I'm reviewing the people here. P.S. THANK YOU (name redacted) for slipping me that cup of ice water. Whew.

I was told this place was the best it is not. I'm going back to the VA…read more These doctors are so busy they ask for test read the results and never call the patient, they never order the next test and your left looking on webMd to see what's wrong with you. Now my wife went there for a second opinion on open heart surgery and guess what? No one I mean NO ONE has gotten back to her yet 7 months later and the excuse they all use is I'm waiting on your medical records. I can be treated like crap for free I don't need to pay for it. If you value your life and you are hell bent on coming here stay on them because if you don't they will forget all about you. And, before you ask I have one of the best insurances in the country, so getting paid was not a problem. In closing there are too many sick people and not enough doctors to take care of all of them and it's so easy at RUSH to fall through the cracks. A side note my primary care doctor was AWESOME Dr. Austin ( in Indiana small clinic) very very professional.

His dedication to the field can be seen thru his publications and roles within the industry. I have had multiple surgical interventions within my spine (Fusions, Laminectomies) that left me in a state of non-stop pain and labeled as a Failed Back Surgery Syndrome patient. I am realistic as a patient and understand that not all can be cured, especially neurological impacts. Dr. Glaser and team, thru their interventions and pain management enabled for me to continue working long past the point that most would hang up their hat. I owe ALL of that to Dr. Glaser and team members like Maria Andersen. If you are in pain and tired of the run around, I highly recommend the team at Pain Specialists of Greater Chicago. These people personally care about you and the outcome. I cannot state the number of times that Dr. Glaser went to bat with the insurance companies for me, for that, I will forever be grateful Dr. Glaser, Maria Andersen and the over team PSGC. Surprised at folks making statements about the wait or for appointments. In the 20 plus years, I have not had that issue. I suggest setting your next appointment, when you leave your appointment. I have never had to wait an extended time in the 20 years I have booked. Give them a try, you have nothing to lose but your pain.

I was told they "don't know anyone." That alone was surprising (you're a local pain clinic, allegedly a specialist, but you don't know a single other professional in your industry in the area?), but it got worse. When I said I wasn't a current patient, the response was basically "sorry, we can't help" and the call was ended. Every doctor or clinic I've ever dealt with has at least a short list of referrals when they can't help directly. This felt less like healthcare and more like "if you're not paying us, we're not interested." Not helpful at all. Would not recommend if you're looking for guidance or support navigating care.

If the tray just happened to be on the side of the room or in front of the bed she would put it there and leave it, so I would always be hungry because by the time someone came into the room the food was cold didn't taste good anyway but it was cold which is not good unless you're ordering cold food. Biggest problem I have with this hospital though is there billing center, I have been fighting with these people since they sent me my first bill in June of 2026 for the ultrasound that I had in March of 2026, when I questioned why they were sending me that bill, they said my insurance denied payment, but my insurance shows they paid for that date, and they said it was for the doctor's bill that reads the ultrasound but they tried to tell me the doctor performed the ultrasound, they did not! I kept asking them ever since to please resubmit to the insurance make sure all the information they provided them was correct, cuz my insurance would not tell them they need my social security number and they would not tell them that they don't have a patient under them with that information unless it was wrong. Which is strange that they would pay the big part of the bill and deny something else while asking for that information doesn't make sense, finally I had my insurance in on it three way call my agent asked the right questions I didn't think of, and it turns out the claim they put through was not mine it was for someone else a man I am not a man. I am a woman since the day I was born I've been female, so now it's a weight game while we wait to see if they actually resubmit like my insurance asked. Which I asked so many times already and they had the nerve to turn me into collections without checking anything to make sure they were right, put me through all this stress when they entered the wrong information to begin with. Losing my faith in all of our medical system
