I took a bite out of it when I got back in my car, and it snapped like a piece of chalk. The next day, I checked the expiration date on it, and it expired nearly a full year ago. I'm pretty sure Slim Jims have a shelf life of like... 10 years. So, if you buy food here, be careful and check those expiration dates.
