Serving both northbound and southbound traffic on the Hutchinson River Parkway, this small outpost is a solid workhorse of a rest area offering fuel, bathrooms and the standard fare found in an average convenience store. Is it the Versailles of highway rest areas? Perhaps not. Are their prices way too high? Absolutely. Will you have to wait on line to use the restrooms (despite the fact that there really isn't even anywhere to wait)? Most likely, yes. But just try to imagine how many motorists this place likely serves on a given day. It's hard not to be impressed. Just consider: this tiny little highway oasis is almost constantly slammed by two directions of traffic on one of the busiest parkways serving one of the biggest cities in the world, and so far the biggest and baddest criticism (according to Yelp anyway) is that their vacuum machine may or may not work intermittently. I would never purchase gas from here! Prices are constantly 30 cents higher per gallon on average. There is a mobil gas station less than a quarter mile away on mamaroneck Ave where you will not get robbed like you do here on the hutch. For reference today I filled up at my local station for $2.53 a gallon... Hutch mobil has gas today for $2.85! Inside has a lot of food options but yet again, very over priced! This is a convenience stop. I don't know what people are expecting while reviewing this place. I was looking for a nice pleasant and clean stop. The landscaping is welcoming. I needed a bathroom stop during my four hour drive and I loved this was literally right off the expressway. The bathroom didn't smell although it could've been cleaner but I'm sure thousands of people use it daily. I love they had every snack created avail. Picked up a fresh ripe banana with my tasty cup of java and was quickly rung up. Three cashiers are Fast enough. Realized I stopped here on the other side to gas up several days earlier. If this is a little extra I'm willing to pay for the convenience. Remember people This is not Walmart. read more

This should be a convienance or emergency stop only. The gas prices here are always higher than average. The store is ok. Somewhat small but has snacks, drinks, coffee, etc. they have bathrooms as well. It's literally right off of the Hutchinson Parkway in Westchester. One word...busy. I made an emergency stop here to pee as well as let my dog relieve himself outside during the drive from CT to NYC. Thankfully, we were both able to do so with no hassle and without making a purchase. Womens' bathroom had several stalls and no line although the line for purchases was crazy on a saturday afternoon. Parking can be dangerous as everyone is in a rush to get back on the highway, but there is ample grassy areas for pets or to stretch your legs. read more

For lack of a better term: Abject PRICE GOUGERS... The price of everything here, gas included, is a sick joke! How much would you expect to pay for a soda at a convenience store... $1.59? $1.79 tops? They wanted $2.29 for a freakin' soda... Other laughable prices included $2.50 for a small hot dog, $5.00 for a relatively modest bag of cashews, and $6.00 for a pre-packaged sandwich. So I can't speak for the gas prices here, because I rarely put gas in my car from a gas station on the highway because the prices are STEEP, but this review speaks to the amount of time I frequent here when driving to NYC. Almost always, after being in the car for an hour, traffic or no traffic, I like to stop here to visit the bathroom or get a soda or water. The place is usually busy, and occasionally it can be tight walking around to the back to get to the bathroom or the cooler for a drink. The bathrooms are typical gas station bathrooms, for the most part they are clean, and only once I had a complaint about the cleanliness of the bathroom, and they sent someone in to clean up. There is a pretty wide selection of snacks, as well as drinks, to suit anyone's needs. I don't usually eat from gas stations, but occasionally will grab a bag of doritos or bottle of water or soda. Of course, remembering, that this location is right off the highway, and of course, will have higher prices than any other gas station. read more

Horrible place for anything, let alone gas. The staff has no clue what they are doing. The majority of the purchases are coffee and gas, and the line wraps around the store. The cashiers are clueless!!!! As fas as gas goes, they're always out or the pumps don't work, not to mention their prices are ridiculously high!!! when i am heading to white plains via the hutchinson river parkway and need gas asap i would on occasion stop here when it was needed cause the prices for gas are higher then other places and the little snack shop inside is overpriced but sometimes you do not want to take a chance of running out of gas so you stop here. plenty of pumps and you are not going to get wet if it runs cause of the roof covering the gas pump area .the only reason i can assume that folks come here cause that it's right off the hutch so it's easy off the parkway and easy on and back to your journey but it's better to not be lazy and make sure you have enough gas in the tank so you can avoid this mobil gas station in white plains. read more
