Knowing it would be a while I wrote who I talked to and the date and then just froze them to bring back later. Today was the day and I went back to meat counter and they asked me to go back up front speak with people at the front counter. Again really nice and said just take it back and have them replace it. This is where you find out how rude and accusatory bad staff can be. He started by saying this was a long time ago, he asked if I he'd left them out in the car over night, if i had waited a long time to use them. The answer was no i had a picture take the next day after the label date from the day before. He then told me that I needed to take them as he did not want any rotten meat. So he took the first for poorly trimmed replacement and packaged them up as I was put them in my cold bag he said I need to take the other one with me. I dont know his name but he was a tallest guy in the back. As I left I told the people upfront (again nice people) that after 10 years of buying here I would not be back. We really like the place and want to support local place but bad employees or maybe he was an owner but either this is how you end up with another empty building in a small town.

There is no gas. I was welcomed by the clerk as I entered and later asked if I needed help finding anything. Inside features a good selection of craft and domestic beers. There is a small selection of wine. At the back of the store are cases of cold power drinks and sodas. There is a small coffee bar. The center of the store houses shelves of snacks and pantry items. And behind the clerk is a freezer with ice cream bars which attracts the neighborhood kids in the summer. Outside, there is neatly piled stacks of firewood and an ice machine.
