We were not able to accelerate over 40 mph because our car would misfire and jerk so bad. We told Basel what was wrong and he and his staff took care of it within a matter of 3 hours! Full of highly processed junk food in the grand tradition of 7-11. Not a nutritious option to be found in the place. Nevertheless, five stars. Why? Because this gas station is incredibly close to the car rental center at Tampa International Airport. I mean close. Like walking distance close. Use your maps program, and it will guide you down a few hundred feet through an adjacent back street and suddenly you're on Airport Service Road with the car rental center right in front of you. No getting back on the highway. No more traffic of any kind. You probably won't even see another car. Discovering this gas station as the spot to refill before returning the rental car may be very favorite thing about flying in and out of TPA. For what it's worth, I've always found the employees to be friendly too. Seriously, if you fly into Tampa a lot and rent a car, bookmark this gas station on Yelp for reference. I rarely interact with the employees as they are inside tending to business while I fuel up and go. I've seen employees outside picking up trash and emptying the trash cans by the pumps. A few times, I've stopped in for an afternoon Slurpee and the place looks clean. They had my favorite Slurpee flavors ready to go which is always a nice treat. There are a few transients in the parking lot but they did not approach me. As soon as DOT finishes the road construction on the turn lanes by both entrances/exits, this location will be much easier to access.
