The answer is that the facility is large, clean and new, there are tons of space between gas bays, and the staff is friendly and helpful. There are several gas bays which are necessary when a gas station is situated on a busy road. Ethanol-free gas is an essential for boat owners and can be found here. The store is well appointed. I enjoy that there is a Swirl World frozen yogurt spot in this particular store. This whole package makes for a pretty outstanding gas station to me. I would love for a gas station to be located near where I'm based in South Tampa. Until then, I can only dream and visit it when I'm visiting my friends in Westchase or trekking through the area. The Wawa cult following is incredibly passionate about a gas station/convenience store. We popped in today because we saw a billboard for Hoagiefest, where you can get a large sub, drink and Herr's potato chips for $8. Worth a try! Please note, you have to order the combo and actually get all three items to get the price break. Ordering via the web and in-store kiosk was easy peasy. The service was great. The sandwiches were done quickly. The Pennsylvania based chips are tasty. The drink is fountain only. The sandwich... I think we have to be real with that part of the special menu. The pulled pork has not been in a smoker. The bacon is not crunchy. The Italian sub has never been near Italy. The pickled onions are not very flavorful. The sweet peppers are bland. See a theme here? However, the Wawa sub is better than the Wawa pizza which we tried once years back when it came out. Sorry, we are still not fans of the food at Wawa. I ordered a hotdog, pizza, chicken roll and two sodas. As I filled the sodas I didn't see any lids or cups for condiments. I tapped on the door of the food service kitchen where there was an African American young woman and a hispanic young woman a few feet away. They stared at me for a few seconds and as the hispanic woman is opening the door, the African American woman says, "what does she want?" in a rude manner. I told the hispanic woman I didn't see any soda lids or cups at the area where the condiments are. She explained that they keep the cups and lids right on the counter where you pick up your food. I said thank you. As l'm literally collecting my lids, I hear the African American woman say again, "what did she want?" in an annoying tone. Mind you she forgets the area to pick up is open, so I told her what is was I "wanted" adding she could've opened the door to see. She froze and just stared at her coworker with a smirk on her face waiting for me to walk away.Trust I am not that person but as I ate I decided to get up and talk to a manager, to let him know what attitude this young woman displayed when someone was just asking a question. I couldn't tell him her name because of course out of all the workers she did not have on a name tag. I explained to the manager she needs to be reminded that she is in a public service position regardless of what "I wanted" her position is to help. In case Costco on 8712 W. Linebaugh Avenue in Tampa, Fl. see this review, the hispanic woman that helped me was named Jada. Cause she had her name tag on! Its sad that some people will always show you why they are only fit for a job behind a food court counter calling out order numbers.
