Dirty, small and prices aren't marked because they have everything jacked up. Bad deal on gas also. I wouldn't recommend stopping here. If you need to stop, I'd try one of the other service stations in the immediate area. read more

I take it back!! I take it all back!! It's been a good 7+ months since my last visit here to Mobil and WOW!!! My how things have changed- FOR THE BETTER!! Snacks are plentiful, restrooms are fairly clean, & best of all- there is no yucky stench!!!!! I was literally contemplating on holding off from using the restroom completely but I was luckily pleasantly surprised. Not sure if my initial visit was Mobil having a bad day or if genuine improvements were made.. either way, I like!!! 4/5 stars- this is a great place to grab some burgers next door, load up on snacks, & fill up your tank- all in one convenient location. read more

Stopped in at Panoche Mobil on our way out of town. The gas station is connected to The Wayback burger. Gas prices here are very reasonable considering it is right off the highway in the middle of basically nowhere where gas stations are few and far between eashother. The prices are within cents compared to gas prices in Gilroy, Morgan Hill, and San Jose. BATHROOMS, needed a good cleaning because there was trash all over the floor in the stalls and near the sinks. The trash cans were overflowing and trash was spilling out onto the floor. II get it, lots of traffic comes through here and everyone stops to use the restroom. I understand with high traffic to the restroom they are going to get a bit dirty, however, they were a mess. I didn't want to tough anything and almost did not want to wash my hands in here. I always have hand sanitizer available and ready for use in situations like this. The small market to this gas station has your basics such as snacks, drinks, and fresh pop corn. Gas station has lots of pumps with wide lanes for bigger vehicles. read more

Bought a Coke slurpee. Coke slurpee was flat. Cashier girl directed me to the manager. He told me it wasn't flat and walked away. I stood there for 5 minutes thinking the manager would come back. Nope. He walked away. He told me it's not flat because it's connected to the soda machines. He said there's very little carbonation and you can't taste it. Um...I've had Coke slurpees from every other gas station and they are not flat. Rude manager, terrible service. How about you tell me that I can get a different flavor? That manager should be fired. If he's the owner, you're a terrible, idiotic owner and the carbonation connector between your soda machine and the slurpee machine isn't working. WHICH IS WHAT I TOLD YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE AND YOU WALKED AWAY FROM ME AND LEFT ME. Waste of $3. read more

A good-looking Mobil along I-5, between 152 and Kettleman City. Plenty of pumps, wide lanes, newer looking exterior, and bathrooms slightly bigger than most (average cleanliness). This was one of many gas station stops we took on our trek back to SoCal. We were drawn here because we needed more water, more fuel, and the name of the street on which this Mobil sits is hilarious. Anyway... this place was very clean, well stocked, and had everything we needed. It is located right next to a fast food place, which please note is no longer a Taco Bell. One of the cheaper gas stations I've seen along I-5. I usually stop at the TA in Buttonwillow to fill up, but I noticed that regular gas at TA was $3.95 on Thanksgiving Day. Meanwhile, the Panoche Mobil had regular for $3.86, cheaper than both of its neighbors, Shell and Chevron. Other perks of this place: * Has squeegees for your car, but the water has no soap * The gas pump prints your receipt without bugging you about getting a carwash * Large and moderately clean restroom (by gas station standards) * Convenience store has a variety of boxed nuts (woah, healthy stuff at a convenience store??) * The convenience store shares a roof with a Taco Bell Save some green and fill up here on your trip between NorCal and SoCal! read more

Good location with a Taco Bell. We didn't eat at the Taco Bell, but just grabbed a couple of snacks and energy drinks for our drive down. The mini mart has a great selection of snacks and they have a large aisle of locally grown nuts and dried fruits. I was going to give them a high rating, just for supporting locally owned businesses, but the high gas prices and disgusting bathroom knocked them down a couple of stars. read more

Bathrooms were a bit dirty, but I just had to write a review for Daniel, who helped me out the night of November 14, 2016. Thank you Daniel! I was driving from SF to LA and left the Bay Area around 10pm. Needless to say, I was super tired by the time I got here. I don't drink coffee and don't like energy drinks, so I felt like I was screwed. Came here for a gas refill and to get some sour snacks to keep me awake (and to use the bathroom of course). First of all, Daniel (I didn't actually catch his name, but that's the name on the receipt, so I hope that's you) was super nice when I pulled up and started chatting with me as he wiped down the pumps. Yes! You heard right - he was wiping the screens and display on the pumps! I've never ever seen anyone do that ever in my life. Then, as I was checking out and about to purchase a 5 hour energy, he recommended that I buy a Red Line, and he even picked out a watermelon flavored one (which was the flavor I had chosen for my 5 hour energy drink). He was either very observant, or very lucky. Either way, it was pretty cool. I drank half and that kept me awake for most of the drive, and then chugged the other half before I hit the grapevine. Magic!!!! Thanks to Daniel's kindness and suggestion, I survived my drive to LA. read more

A late night pit stop for gas, restrooms and snacks on the lonely empty stretch of cow town I-5. I didn't have any issues with the women's restroom. Not the best, not the worst. I left SFX around 10 pm on a Sunday evening headed South to Bakersfield, feeling the pressure to get home and get in a little sleep before having to be up at 6 am for work. Five minutes after leaving Gilroy to head into the Pacheco Pass, I was also beginning to feel another kind of pressure, that of a moderately full bladder that was going to become an issue long before I made it home. You'd be surprised at how few places there are that are open for business at that time of night, and being a single female traveling alone I expected a certain level of well-lit, semi-clean safety. Things were looking grim for quite a distance. Casa De Fruita, the obvious choice, was closed. There were several exits which did not appear to be promising until AFTER I passed the off-ramp (there is something to be said for prominently visible signage) There were exits with gas stations that looked poorly lit and not too high up on the hygiene scale. I took a couple of these exits and just did not feel desperate enough to chance it. And - yes - I was singing along with my ipod and just plain spaced out and missed a couple of golden opportunities. By the time I hit the Panoche exit, I was - shall we say - becoming rather less choosy. There were 4 gas stations at this exit. The Shell appeared to be closed, and the other two were not well-lit enough to make a single girl feel safe. And then I saw it - a well-lit Mobile station - shimmering like an oasis in a dark and grungy desert. The gas was a penny a gallon cheaper than the other two open stations, the restrooms were clean, and the variety of sugar free, low-carb, and low calorie energy drinks was certain to get me home awake and in one piece. The prices on the energy drinks and beef jerky that I purchased to devour on my journey were not particularly overpriced! Bonus - the clerk was friendly and spoke perfect English. read more

Stopped for snacks and a bathroom break. Snacks were as expected but the women's bathroom was disgusting. The handicap stall had excrement and toilet paper with mold growing up the sides of the bowl. Not only that but it had flies circling it. Totally unusable. The other stalls had excrement in different spots on the seat and sides of the bowl. One also had a fruit roll up stuck to the side. Just made a quick stop here while on our way to Napa, CA for some wine tasting. The place is pretty busy, even though it is just about in the middle of nowhere. Lots of people stop here to use the restrooms and purchase some snacks while....mmm...on the road again...hummmm.. anyways, my recommendation is to get your coffee and stay awake while driving through the middle of nowhere and smelling cows. read more

I know it's Christmas but DANG the women's bathroom was disgusting! Even my 3 year old daughter said "eeeek that's gross!" There was blood on the floor, toilet paper on the floor, full trash cans, and some sort of chunks in one of the sinks. I was dreading have to go here, but when you're low on gas, you don't have much choice. Being that this is right off the freeway and no other stations for far as the eye can see, there really is no other choice. I was glad I didn't bring a lowered car, since the driveway was fairly steep. The worst was the cost of gas. Over $2.50 for regular gas! Came here for a rest stop . They have a verryy nicely shaded area with picnic tables and grass . However , there was a long line to use the bathroom , and as you can imagine , it wasn't very clean . But that's expected . Overall a good stop to relax, but I wouldn't recommend eating around here . read more
