Kole was super kind in giving us a tour of the lavender garden, where we harvested our own bunch. He also introduced us to the horses, mules, and chickens. He was the same age as my kids, so they had fun talking and laughing. We also saw quail, honey bees, and the cutest bumble bees. The ranch is situated in a hidden pocket of the foothills. The drive to get there off the 395 is simple and beautiful, and also near the Alabama Hills. I'm so glad we visited. There was no one else there. It was so nice and peaceful. Definitely well worth the trip if you're passing through.

They also offer fresh honey, dehydrated fruits, bagged nuts and tons of produce. The woman operating it was friendly and patient with us as we hemmed, hawed and guffawed at the options available. The Meat house has a large selection of beef, pork, and seafood cuts. They even make in house fresh dog food and have fresh vegetables. The guys behind the counter were Good gand made me feel welcomed as an outsider. I wish there were more butcher shops around like The Meat house. The cuts looked awesome and if you're around Bishop CA check them out. Going inside you will be reminded of how hard working America still stands strong and does good business without the big box grocery store. It is truly a one stop shop for anything you could want. It was neat to see it full of folks hanging out in the various seating areas. I was still able to find a spot with ease which was conducive to taking a work video call. Today I decided to stop to see what it was all about. They make their cheeses here and you can see the machinery behind the glass near the cheese section of the gift shop. They also sell lots of nuts, dried fruits, candies and fudge. The gift shop is quite large and you are likely to find a gift for anyone you know here. The bathrooms were really clean and modern farm style in design. Right next to the gift shop is a restaurant that smells amazing. I ended up buying chocolate peanut butter cups as a gift. They were pricey but probably worth it.
