The difference is that here, you dont have to take out a second job to get your hair done every two months. The stylists are fantastic -super friendly without being overly intrusive, and they treat their clients with a sense of importance, like they value their business. I like to book in with Dianne or Donna - Dianne is the owner and Donna is one of the younger girls there, but still does an amazing job. My hair has never looked better. I get colour and highlights, and its the perfect colour for me. My highlights look natural, and they manage to keep my hair long but stil healthy by chopping off just the right amount each visit. Honestly I cant recommend this place enough. If you are in the area, or even if you arent, and are looking for a new stylist, give them a call. You wont regret it.

As a long term customer of Zucci, I am always happy to recommend this salon for the wonderful…read moreexperience and quality of hairdressing. Before your haircut starts, you're treated to a head and neck massage with your choice of essential oil- hello relaxation. Zucci uses Aveda products which are flower and plant based that smell absolutely amazing!! Your hair will never smell better. I have had my hair coloured (balayage) and cut here so many times and I am always happy with the results. The salon has just had a makeover, but it has always been a very modern salon with stylish staff to match. Quality is evident in every detail- even the magazines are high fashion (none of the gossip magazine crap that makes me cringe). Make sure you enjoy an Aveda licorice tea throughout your appointment. If you're there during quieter times you may even be lucky enough to score a hand massage or have make up applied by the apprentices. The only pitfall of seeing the same stylist for years and years is that he is now incredibly expensive for a haircut.

This is a…read moreplace I go when I want to treat myself as it is a bit too expensive to visit on a regular basis. They do facials, massage, hand and foot treatments, hair removal, permanent makeup and pamper packs. For a one hour facial it is $70 although they have options ranging from $45 to $105. Last time I went I had a facial and I sat in a reclining chair covered in a blanket. The products used are all natural and are available for purchase in the store. Unlike most beauty salons there is no pressure to buy, which I particularly liked. Another nice touch was a chocolate with the wrap around towel provided. The products in salons like this normally affect my skin but I have never had a reaction to any of the products used here. It is a godsend for sensitive skin!

They also know when people are interested in conversation and when business is to be conducted in comfortable silence. They use Loreal products, which is great for brighter hair colours. They're also not stingy with the application of dye, and are great at taking feedback, making suggestions and sussing out their customer's hair boundaries. Sam's also offered to trim fringes for free between major cuts, and to re-do anything that hasn't come out quite right. She can do curly and straight hair, and is especially good with your more choppy and funky hairstyles. Having recently moved premises, the shop's bathed in a halo of natural sunlight throughout the day. However, tall people beware: the toilet out the back is a throwback to the days of yore and not built for anyone over 175cm. The whole operation is casual but professional, and you don't have to book months in advance (though a week or two is probably advisable). To top it off, my full hair colouring and cut only costs $155, so it's very reasonably priced. A great find all-round. Please don't ruin it for me!

Also the salon has mirrors angled in a way which means you can always see the back of your head to make sure that they are cutting your hair how you asked :) Friendly, good service, flexible, very skilled and conveniently located in New Quay. Not cheap, but worth the money for the hair cut you're after! I am going back for sure.

The salon itself looks fresh (perhaps because of the yellow?) and is always clean. The staff here are super friendly and chatty and getting your hair done here is always a pleasant experience. I find that they can be a little expensive so I tend to only go there when I am treating myself. The hairdressing expertise here is pretty standard - not bad but not amazing either. I often have a few hairs that have been missed after an appointment there. That can be a little annoying but everyone's human after all. There is also a lady there now who does nails and manicures and such however I have not had my nails done there yet. I've noticed the hairdressers are often quite busy while she sits without any customers - not sure why that is. Maybe people don't know that she is there. Otherwise it is a decent salon, give them a go.
