There really aren't enough good things I can say about Mike Carey with MLJ Escrow. He worked with me for over FOUR YEARS to help me get to the finish line, and I truly don't think I could have asked for a better person to have in my corner throughout the process.
From the very beginning, Mike was patient, professional, encouraging, and always willing to go above and beyond for me. There were plenty of times throughout those 4 years when things weren't simple or straightforward, but he never gave up on me. He continued answering my questions, walking me through everything, helping me figure out what needed to happen next, and reassuring me when the process felt overwhelming. He became a solid, true friend, not just a businessman doing a job. Each challenge or goal that was met, he was there. He never swayed.
What meant the most to me was that I never felt like I was just another loan or another number. Mike genuinely cared about helping me and my family reach our goal. After working together for so long, finally making it to closing felt like a huge accomplishment, and I will always be grateful that Mike was the person who helped us get there. He always returned my calls, texts, and made sure I was never in the dark.
It's easy to be helpful when everything goes perfectly. It says so much more about someone when they are still there, still working just as hard for you, and still encouraging you over four years later. That is exactly the kind of person Mike is. To add, there is no such thing as a dumb question, only complete respect and transparency when communicating with him.
If you are looking for a mortgage lender who is knowledgeable, dependable, patient, professional, and truly cares about the people he works with, I cannot recommend Mike Carey enough. Thank you, Mike, for sticking with me, believing we could make it happen, and going above and beyond for my family. I truly would not have been able to complete this process without Mike. Five stars doesn't feel like enough!
