Then they gave me a quote. I scheduled a date and time for the move. The guys showed up with a big truck on the day of the move. They were friendly and assured me that the items will be loaded and moved safely. They handled the statues with care and carried them to the backyard and placed them where I wanted. The whole process was smooth and the movers were genuinely willing to help. Their moving costs were pretty reasonable. I am glad that I found reliable help with my moving needs. My BIL was finally moving out of my MIL's house. (It's killing me, but I'm keeping my snarkiness to myself though I will offer that he's 60). Since he has never done anything for himself, I researched and hired the movers for him. The prices for most of the movers that I contacted were pretty similar. What set Moving Hearts apart was that they are veteran owned. On moving day, one of the movers was on time, the other was quite a bit late, but true their word, they didn't charge until both were on the job. Some started charging the moment the truck left their facility. While we had already moved what we could fit into our van, for a two bedroom house, there was still quite a bit of stuff. The movers didn't anticipate the amount and they really should have sent a bigger truck. The move was local - 3.5 miles - one end of Old Monrovia Road to the other. It still took 2 1/2 hours, though some of the time was trying to fit everything into the too small truck. It was hot yet the movers didn't take a break - they worked their butts off. There was absolutely no damage on either end of the move - I've never experienced that, even with the most careful movers. They did a fantastic job. I would hire Moving Hearts again in a heartbeat.

Our realtor recommended Guardian Storage but before booking a unit, I price checked it. (The website was fancy so I thought it would be too pricey.) The price was totally in line (even cheaper) than other outfits that I checked...(note, Guardian does not have outdoor units, which is not what we wanted - we had to store two fridges, washer, dryer, and we did not want them to get "funky" in a hot outdoor storage unit. Low and behold, they did not have any funk smell!) The facility is SUPER clean. The locks are these cool little gadgets...but you have to buy that separately. There was plenty of space for our large moving truck. The owner (who is super nice and helpful) keeps moving dollies, carts, and such on site - so that's helpful. He told me that they charge by how much of the truck is full after everything is loaded instead of by the hour. He gave me the price categories based on the space filled. He told me they provide a free quote on the day of the appointment to see how much needs to be hauled off, and if I accepted that amount then they would begin to load everything immediately. They were able to schedule a trash service for the following morning, which I was so grateful for them to be able to do that since I travel so much during the week. I received a text message confirming everything. I was pleasantly surprised the next morning when the three young men arrived a few minutes early of the time scheduled. Nowadays there are people who just don't show up at all. They quickly looked at what needed to be hauled off, gave me a very reasonable quote in 5 seconds that I accepted, and got to work. They packed everything into the truck super tight so that the pricing accurately reflected how much junk was being hauled away. The guys were done in less than 15 minutes of when they arrived. They were courteous and clean. I made sure to tip them afterwards. They had to work in the rain. I would use them again in a second! Thank you again, Valley!

I had in the garage old safes from the 1950's. They were rusting and the combination locks were…read morejamming. I put silicone spray and WD40 on to lubricate the locks but they still jammed. They kept me informed about their arrival time, worked quickly and efficiently to remove the items slated for disposal, and left my garage, back patio and outside storage closet more organized and orderly than they've been in years.
