If you're going to alter a natural hairline, you should ask the customer, if you're going to make the length on top shorter in the back, and longer in the front, YOU SHOULD TELL THE CUSTOMER, before they just have to accept and pretend like it's a good haircut. I gave simple and clear directions of what I wanted it and my barber just took the wheel. MORE COMMUNICATION.

I had a great overall experience at Hammer & Nails. The shop definitely lives up to its "luxury…read moregrooming for men" vibe--I left feeling relaxed and taken care of. My haircut with Chrissy was amazing. She was warm, friendly, and easy to talk to, and the conversation made the whole experience even better. She really set the tone for a great visit. The front desk staff (I'm sorry I forgot her name) was also very welcoming. She took the time to introduce the services and even gave me a tour, which I appreciated. The only part of my visit that didn't quite match the rest was my pedicure. The technician--Arlene or Marlene, I believe--seemed to rush through the session. She had a headphone in, which I don't mind if it helps her focus, but the overall experience felt a bit quiet and less engaging. I would've appreciated more check-ins, like asking if everything felt okay or if I had any specific concerns (for example, areas like calluses that I wanted extra attention on). That said, everyone was very nice, and I still left feeling pampered. With just a little more attention to detail during the pedicure, this would've been a perfect experience.

So at this new shop I found: Mia is Tuesday-Saturday. 9:30Am-7Pm. She did an awesome job. Very nice, respectful and funny. I think I will go to this barber shop and to her now. Especially since she did not shave my widows peak away. The other barber shop barber would do that even when I asked him not to. I didn't know if he didn't understand or didn't care and he hated widow peaks. But anyways now I don't have to deal with that issues anymore cuz I found a new shop and a new barber/stylist -Mia. Thank you for an awesome good experience and cool cut. You did a great job. Thank you.

I've been a loyal, consistent customer at the Cut & Shave Barber on Eisenhower for two years now,…read moreand for good reason. In my opinion, their customer service is second to none. Between the convenient location and very reasonable pricing, it's easily the best value in the area. While I have tried several barbers and even explored their other locations, I always find myself returning to the Eisenhower branch. Once you find a team that truly understands your hair and provides a top-notch experience, they earn your long-term loyalty. The Standouts: Kim: She is a fantastic stylist. Beyond her technical skills, she has incredible listening skills--she truly understands what you want and consistently exceeds expectations. She delivers 100% on every cut and genuinely aims to please. After speaking with other regulars, I know I'm not alone in this assessment. Anne: Kim was on vacation this week, so I had the pleasure of sitting in Anne's chair. She is kind, respectful, and highly skilled. I'll definitely be asking for her whenever Kim isn't available. I highly recommend this location. You might see a few "haters" or trolls posting negative reviews to downplay the competition, but don't let that deter you. I promise you won't be disappointed with the Eisenhower team. Pro-tip: Schedule your next appointment with Kim or Anne for the best experience--and tell them Bruce sent you!
