Vijay and Manju have been assisting with my international travel for years and I have only good words to say for the two of them and for their excellent service. Neither are pushy, they in fact have recommended me to use search engines for better pricing at times. A few years ago, my mom suddenly went into a coma and I needed to urgently take the first flight to India. All I did was to call and tell Vijay of the situation. Very poor service. Did not return calls. Bought a ticket with an extremely short transit time knowing I was on a wheel chair and need to stay in a hotel or Pod before I take the next flight. Not interested in helping or finding information. I would not recommend them. read more

Simply put, MJD goes above and beyond!! I overlooked the COVID test requirement and because of the Holidays surge in testing. And Testing Company said my test results will arrive between 24 to 48 hrs. I could not get another appointment for COVID test. So, I reached out to Manju for help. She patiently listened to me, understood the situation and helped me move the flight date. Manju handled it with thorough professionalism, for complete oversight on my part. Instead of simply changing date on my current booking, she went leaps above and got me a savings of almost $300 in the process!! I had referred MJD travels to someone within my company and they asked for a review, figured it would make sense to post it here. MJD travels is run by a nice couple based in California. I've been buying tickets from them for almost eight years now and they're very reliable/friendly. Usually I need to buy international tickets once a year, but this time when I was blocking tickets, Manju remembered/remarked that I had bought tickets first as a student ~7 years ago and then for my marriage and this time it was for my infant - so it's been such a long interaction. You don't expect that when your only interaction for a couple of days each year when you're buying tickets for the annual trip (pilgrimage :P) back home. Essentially, you tell them what dates or date range you're looking out for and they'll give you prices etc. They'll run up the dates based on your preferences and send you an itinerary with the blocked seats + pricing. You have a couple of days (varies from airline to airline) to buy the seat or let it expire. Since you already have the itinerary in hand before you pay them, there's not much scope for mistakes and once you're sure the flight works for you, you give them the go ahead to purchase/block it. They'll also have suggestions for you - I was seeing an airline a bit cheaper than the ones they told me about one year and they said they could book that airline if I wanted but they would recommend against it because the airlines seats are narrower (or really old aircraft/uncomfortable seats) or the stopover is in x and it would be a difficult trip. On another occasion, when I called them to confirm/pay for a ticket they had blocked for me, they said the price reduced from when I blocked it and now I need to pay x amount less than before - I was perfectly fine paying the original rate and didn't even ask them to see if it's changed - they just did it out of their own accord. I recommend Manju/Vijay wholeheartedly. read more

I recently booked a ticket BLR-SFO for my mother-in-law through MJD Travels. Vijay was very patient in spite of repeated calls on getting the tickets booked in specific airline on particular date, as I wanted to mother-in-law to travel with one of my friend.
