We had been going to Hubbard swim school off and on for over 2 years and my son still didn't really like the water and learned nothing. Being that we recently moved into a house with no gate around the pool, I knew we needed to find another solution for our swimming needs. In just two days of lessons, my son went from not liking the water to absolutely LOVING it and begging to go to lessons everyday. Within a week he was swimming on his own and one week after that was floating on his back with no assistance!! Becky not only teaches swimming skills, but ingrains in each child how to make good LIFE SAVING decisions in the water.... Something that you don't usually see in your traditional swim classes (or at least I didn't). She really has such an incredible way I being firm, yet living in her approach. She is very clear in her expectations in each child, and in turn they trust her and learn to trust and be confident in them self. Typically the program is about 6 weeks, but bc my son is a little older (3.5 yrs old), we finished the program in 4 weeks! I am fully confident that God forbid he were to ever accidentally fall in the pool, he has the complete ability to save his own life. I still can't even believe the transformation that took place in my son.... A month ago he never wanted to swim and would only go in the pool if someone was holding him or if he had floaties on. Now he is a confident, amazing swimmer who we can't keep out of the water!! It is so amazing to see the joy in his eyes that he gets from his newfound swimming ability and we owe it all to Ms. Becky!!! If you are thinking about doing ISR lessons, DO IT!! Its a tad pricey compared to other lessons, but It's the BEST money we've ever spent knowing that we have greatly reduced the risk of any water related tragedy ever happening to our son!!!

When I researched the ISR method, I learned that drowning is the number one cause of accidental death for children under the age of four in Arizona. And while I know there is no substitute for constant supervision, ISR Self-Rescue lessons provide an extra layer of protection. My son loves the water... whenever he sees it, he wants to go in. It's beyond scary to think about if he somehow were to fall into a pool and an adult wasn't around to save him. The only downside is that parking can suck depending if there's an event happening at the community center. The staff at Leahi is amazing. Ashley, who works the front desk almost always and helps with registration is amazing. She's so personable and treats everyone like family! She and the pool staff made accommodations to help my daughter feel comfortable during her first lessons without a parent. The staff in the pool has been amazing and accommodating. Kiki - who graduated HS and is no longer working there, really helped my daughter with her confidence and really helped her literally every step of the way. Sage was so fun and very enthusiastic! Ashley (in the pool) also helped my daughter gain confidence when my daughter was really swimming on her own. Koa is awesome and really makes you feel so welcomed too! I also do commend the owners as well. I was at the pool one day when there was a troubled parent/grand parent asking why her student couldn't move up levels. Even though this customer was clearly frustrated and maybe a little angry with the owner, the owner explained why so calmly that the requirements aren't just there just cause - it's for safety too!! Open swim is always nice, usually Saturdays at 4pm. It does get crowded so either come super early or late!

Having enrolled my son here for multiple sessions, this experience fell far below basic expectations. Mismanaged Instruction & Staffing: Although the class was assigned two instructors, a single disruptive student monopolized the lead instructor's attention for the first several weeks. Consequently, the rest of the students were relegated to playing around with an assistant instructor rather than receiving structured instruction. Flawed & Missing Evaluations: The mid-session progress report evaluated students on deep-end skills during their very first couple weeks in deep water, making the assessment premature and inaccurate. Worse, no final progress report was ever provided at the end of the session, leaving us completely blindsided when told our son was recommended to repeat Beginner II. Moving Goalposts & Poor Administrative Support: When I called for clarification, the representative repeatedly backpedaled and changed their explanation. They ultimately claimed that opening eyes underwater without goggles was a mandatory passing requirement--a rule that was never communicated to parents, and one that contradicts what we observe in the next level up, where students routinely wear goggles. If promotion is strictly skill-based, the facility must ensure adequate staffing so high-need students do not drain instructional time from others. Parents deserve clear expectations, continuous updates, and actionable feedback--none of which were provided this session.

The parent and me group classes are very small with only 4-6 families depending on the pool. The coaches come around and check in with you and your child while practicing each skill to see how you are doing and offer next steps. They incorporate a lot of songs, which both of my girls love (the pirate song is a favorite.) They also explain skills and the reasoning behind doing things a certain way really well. We have also done one on one skills lessons with my older daughter and have been very impressed. We have worked with Coach Kara, Coach Alice, and Coach Alecia, and they have all been great to work with. The different pools can be confusing, but they send out monthly schedules with locations and are always a text away when I have been unsure. My girls have made so much progress in a comfortable and friendly environment. We are so glad to have found Ola Loa.

Despite changing my Facebook credentials often, it kept being hacked. When I went to delete my Facebook account altogether, it hit the fan, my email got locked, etc. After losing 10 lbs in three days while freaking out, I reached out to Kahana at Mac Made Easy. He casually said, "Just come by anytime, and I will take care of everything." Being a former New Yorker, I was quite skeptical. I arrived, and instantly, his calm demeanor lowered my blood pressure by 100 points. I gave him my list of things I wanted him to do with all my iPads, phones, and devices. I.e., full diagnostics, factory resets, security systems, etc., then factory resetting everything. After that, I secured the main device and had him reinstall everything. I was ready and expected to spend thousands of dollars. He calmly spent a while asking me a bunch of questions. To make a long story short, he told me that he could do everything I asked, but he had a different solution. He started to explain what he wanted to do. I then asked him to talk to me as if I were 10 years old, then realized a 10-year-old knew more than I did, so I told him to speak to me like I was his grandfather. Again, to make a long story short, he fixed everything and secured my systems, iPads, phones, and devices at literally a tiny fraction of the price I was ready to pay. HE IS MY HERO. He would not even accept a tip; I had to shove it in his top pocket. IF YOU EVER NEED APPLE PRODUCTS, REPAIRS, ETC., I 1000% RECOMMEND MAC MADE EASY. KAHANA IS THE BEST.
