The decor is sweet and elegant and the company here is very friendly. Sara Jane works very hard keeping up her little cafe and she will always make sure her guests are happy and attended to. The bathroom upstairs is huge, very clean, and in the cafe area there is a small fireplace which only adds to its charm. Overall this was one of the best cafe experiences I have ever had, if I could I'd come back every day. It feels like home here. The food is delicious, the company is wonderful, and the atmosphere is great; best cafe in Ireland, hands down!

The site is a caravan park and a campsite. And it gets both aspects spot on. The facilities are second to none. I really liked how the sinks in the ladies had an abundance of hooks at the front. Good thinking and great attention to detail. And they pipe in the radio here, so you're not gonna be bored brushing your teeth. Showers are 1 EUR for five minutes. The block is unisex, but cubicles are quite private. Clean too. The water was plenty hot as well. There was also a playground, which the kids were making great use of. And there was a games room too. I didn't check that out, nor the shared kitchen. But if they're anything like the shower and toilet block, I'd say they're most likely top notch. At the end of the site is a pleasant stream which trickles by with a nice sound. Highly recommend if you're caravaning or camping your way around Ireland.

You drive through some pretty narrow country roads and will likely think "There can't be a factory here!" but sure enough, it is. Even if you don't have an interest in collecting finely hand-crafted toy soldiers, there are other things here - and they can customize other decorative pieces such as metal Christmas tree ornaments (like with names) that will make great gifts and heirlooms for kids. There is a workshop where the kids can actually make their own soldiers! Boys and girls will love it. There's even an espresso stand (Starbucks!) in the back room for the older folks. Think of it - an activity that gets kids interested in something NOT DIGITALLY CONNECTED or PLUGGED IN! Wow! That alone is worth the trip! The artisans are in the back and you can watch these pieces being hand painted. The kids can create their own pieces and when they watch it being hand painted, they will remember that long after their current app goes out of favor.
