I love hibatchi and today the more I thought about it the more I craved it. Lol..I ordered filter and shrimp. It comes with zucchini onions and mushrooms and rice and broccoli. The steak was cooked perfectly just how I like it.. it was a bit salty for my taste but it was good. The rice seemed bland but all the rest was good. I love watching them cook it on flat top behind the counter. The staff keeps counters and store pretty clean between customers. Everything behind counter seems to like like a well oiled machine.. they all have jobs to do in prep and plating food. For fast food hibatchi it's the place to go ..

The hubby and I were dying for some hibachi but didn't have time to sit down at one of the fancy hibachi places where they cook right in front of you, so we decided to give this place a try. I ordered the Chicken Hibachi takeout and some shrimp tempura sushi, the man ordered Steak Hibachi & spicy tuna sushi. We were both disappointed with the quality of the meat as it was super dry on both our entrees, but the seasoning and flavor of it was pretty good. The onion & zucchini mix was delicious, other than it would've been better if they hadn't given us both so many slivers of the zucchini skin. Not really sure how we ended up with so much burnt skin and less of the zucchini flesh? The rice was flavored well but hey it's rice so it's hard to have bad rice lol. The shrimp tempura was flavorless so I only ate 2 pieces dowsed in soy sauce, I honestly was expecting the brown sauce that most places serve with their tempura but it was not included. The spicy tuna sushi was inedible. As the sriracha wasn't mixed into the tuna and was just dabbed on top it was gross. The yum yum sauce was perfect tho! Maybe next time I'll just order vegetable hibachi and hope there will be less zucchini skin and more actual zucchini in the veggies.

This is the cook making our filet bowl while breathing right onto our food because his mask is not covering his nose. we got our order and threw it in the trash.

This is a small express hibachi spot in Jacksonville. The flavors are consistent and the food is fast. I've been coming here for years and I've rarely been disappointed. The portions have gotten smaller over the years but that's my only complaint. I had the steak and shrimp hibachi entree. The white sauce and ginger here are a must. The food is good and friendly serve ice would recommend for a quick lunch

SEND THE HEALTH INSPECTOR. The owner of this place should be ashamed. It has been 7 years since I have been here. My family and I loved this place and I couldn't wait to eat here again. The storefront is dull and dingy. I couldn't tell if the place was open. I had to peak inside. It was open. I went in. There were maybe 4 people sitting at tables and a couple people ordering in line. I ordered the filet minon and fish with a soda. I paid, got my soda, and sat down. More and more people came in and ordered, got their food before me, and ate/left. At the 20 minute mark, i went to ask about my order. Nobody could really speak english but the lady at the counter got her point across that the fish was still being cooked. I could see the fish on the grill. I stood there thinking it would be done soon. About 5 more minutes passed and then the cook we t to the fridge and brought out a bunch of raw chicken and started putting down within inches of my cooked fish. He then started using the spatula to organize the chicken. Afterwards, he picked up my fish filet with the SAME spatula and started carrying it to my to go box. I spoke out loudly to the point that everybody in the place heard me. I said, " Hold up. You just cross contaminated my cooked fish with raw chicken and that spatula". The cook looked at me and asked if it was my fish and I said yes. I told him and the register lady that i didn't want it and I wanted a refund. The cook went into the back and put another fish filet on the grill. The register lady started the refund and then told me that he is cooking me a other filet. I said I didn't want it and that i was already 30 minutes for the first one. She voided my transaction (see picture). I won't be back. 1) The owner/manager needs to train their staff on proper food handling techniques and foodborne pathogens. The could seriously make somebody sick and or kill/them. 2) The owner/manager need to reinvest money into the appearance inside/outside. The walls are filthy from where people wait for their food. Paint on ledges is chipoed everywhere. Tables needed to be bussed I'm sooooooo happy that I didn't tip when ordering and prior receiving my order. I didn't get an apology whatsoever. The manager never ide tified themself.

Food was just as good as it looks! I'm visiting in town for work and and the food did not disappoint. Great price.. the staff were all helpful and attentive. Dine in tables were a tad sticky lol... but I will definitely be coming back the next time i'm in town!!

Were in the area and the restaurant we originally wanted to go to was closed for the day. So I had think quick and find food because the hubs and I were hangry. Hahaha. Found this place on yelp and decided to go. It's part of a shopping center, so plenty of parking! I went around 4:30 and it wasn't too busy yet. Around 5:5:30, a ton of people came in and WOW. They get really busy for dinner. So keep that in mind when you come because the line got long and the wait kinda took a bit. Any who, once you walk in, you walk along the wall (line) and order at the register. The lady was a little impatient with my husband and I when we were looking at the menu and trying to figure out what we wanted. Didn't like that. But we ordered steak and shrimp hibachi and a sushi roll. They give you a number and you find a table. In the mean time, they have a little sauce bar by the soda fountain where they have yum yum sauce, teriyaki sauce, hot chili sauce, and hot mustard. **yum yum sauce is yummy!!!!** they will shout out your number for you to come pick up your food. If they don't have everything for you, then keep your ears open to come back for the second item. Steak and shrimp hibachi -- looks like your normal hibachi. It was good! The sauces made it better, which is pretty normal. Haha. For the price, it's decent. Cost a bit, but you get a lot of food!! Sushi -- I would not get again. Didn't like the quality of it. It just didn't feel right in my mouth. Friend ordered the gyoza -- he said it was good and crispy. Would I come back? If I'm craving hibachi. But never go for the sushi!

I appreciate Miyabi for what it is. I don't have to wait for a bunch of strangers to be seated to eat. I can order and 'the chefs' may even do some knife play if they're not to busy. Even without the volcano onion or knife flips I'm content. If I only want veggies I can have them at a reduced price. This doesn't happen everywhere here in Jacksonville. It's usually clean and packed. The bathroom is clean and that's awesome! This is a lazy review I'm sorry...it 3:00 am

Yakitori house has really stepped up their game since the last time we were there a few years ago…read more I can't comment on service or ambiance because it was take out. But the food wonderful as "take out!" In the past 10 years, their Takoyaki was the only thing that kept the Yakitori House on our "list". Last Friday, because we wanted takoyaki, we decided to order for takeout a whole meal with appetizers (we like to have an assortment of things to taste). It was payday Friday, I couldn't get anyone on the phone to take my "pick up" order, so I went in person only 30 minutes after they had opened and found they were swamped! I waited in my car for 45 minutes for my order (ugh). Got, home and opened all the to-go boxes, and dug in. Oh my God! The food was amazing. You know the food is good when you both are smiling and making yummy noises, talking about the food nonstop and sharing it with each other. WELL DONE, Yakitori House for changing the business model and focusing on the food! We enjoyed it so much we ordered out again (this evening before Thanksgiving, just 5 days after we ordered out the last time). It just really good food that makes you happy! The food was wonderful again! But I have one note...I ordered the vegetable stir fry. What I got was steamed vegetables that had no flavor other than the flavor from the bare steamed vegetables, no nothing extra. That was disappointing, but I poured some of the Age Dashi sauce (I had leftover from my appetizer) over the steamed vegetables (that were supposed to be stir fried) and it was delicious! That Age Dashi sauce is delicious! New to us was Karaage, Japanese fried chicken with what looks like Yumyum sauce to dip it in...delicious. I tried the Bulgogi plate...tender strips of steak cooked in a savory and sweet sauce with rice, salad, soup, a dab of kimchi, and a few grapes. A delicious and delightful special entree! My husband loves the way they do Omurice now. He couldn't believe that every bite had a piece of chicken. I saw peas and shiitake. I wish Yakitori House would do the menu like they do in Japan. Their menus had pictures of every dish. I haven't been in Japan since 1997 but I never knew the names of the dishes I was eating. So now I have to google the items on the menu to see if I'd like it, ugh! Over all, Yakitori House is doing an amazing job creating wonderful flavorful food which is pleasing to the pallet and the eye even when it's in take out (I was impressed with that Bulgogi take-out plate)! I wish we had taken pics, but both times we were more interested in diving in.

Had supper here again. Group of 4 tonight. We were sit immediately and service was great as always…read more We all had water to drink. They do have a decent selection of Japanese beers as well as plum wines. After a long cold day we all just wanted food. Huge serving met the need. Two shrimp fried rice, 1 Tempura and another dish I do not remember. Table split two rolls and tuna dish as appetizers. Solid food and great service. Small place with great traffic flow.

It's a rather large restaurant in a large strip mall. There's plenty of parking and different dining experiences. There's a sushi bar, a bar, hibachi, and the standard sushi dining area. Shogun is similar to a lot of restaurants in Jacksonville. Sometimes there's an "off" day. Every restaurant has those days. Shogun is no different. We've had great to below average times here. Today we enjoyed our meal. Today wasn't too busy so we were seated promptly. Our server provided our menus and took our drink order (water). We order the sushi for two. Comes with a variety of sushi, miso soup, and a side salad. The soup and salad was delivered after a short wait. As we finished our soup and salad our sushi plate with two small plates was delivered. The server poured our soy sauce. The food presented well. The quality and quantity were perfect for us. Our server was good and attentive filling our waters and removing used dishes as we dined. Our experience here today was very good. We enjoyed our meal and experience. If you've been on the fence about trying this restaurant, I recommend giving it a try. Even if you don't like sushi, they have plenty of other options.
