Jan Spangler is one such person in my life. A former doctor suggested that I contact Jan for my PTSD during a time of unrest. I knew I wanted to plot a new path in my life's journey, but I was unsure how to do that. I was not emotionally content, nor did I understand my patterns and the process of how to change my reactions to my situation. This is where Jan's gift lies. She helps one deal with the joys, the sorrows, and everyday trials that one faces in life. As soon as she met me for the appointment, I felt instantly uncomfortable because of the way she approached me, talked to me, and looked at me. During the appointment, she continuously insinuated that I had multiple disorders. Maybe I do, but I just felt the way she went about it was inappropriate and belittling. I never returned to her. A year later, I decided to see another counselor there (Carrie Paiser) whom was a bit better. There continued to be times where she didn't remember what I was talking about/didn't remember that her and I had discussed something. Granted, I'm sure she had multiple patients. (Doubt my conversation was that boring, but maybe so.) The thing that was upsetting about it to me is that I wanted and needed someone to talk to that was sincere. Not just someone to pretend to listen. She did try to give advice, and was kind. But after seeing her for 6 months, she managed to apparently confuse me with another patient of hers and say that I was raped a year ago. When uhm, yeah, I wasn't. So that was my breaking point there. Haven't been back since. The physciatrist they have there (Eggner)...I believe he's left now, so guess the comments on him don't matter much. I was disappointed with his quick 5 minute meeting and fast hand out of medications. The man had no idea about who I was and what my diagnosis were, so really had no right to prescribe meds for me. Doctors that don't take their time and do their job right are apt to cause harm to someone's life who really needs help. Ah, guess it can be mentioned also that it took them months to get me into see the physciatrist also.

DO NOT GO HERE. compass counseling harassed me for months about a proper payment when I was…read moreapproved and covered by my insurance. they were so rude and instead of working with me on trying to figure out the problem with billing, they told me to call and figure it out , and refused to work with me on thier end to help figure out the situation. as a new young mom, this is already hard enough to find help and someone to talk to , clearly all they care about is money when they decide to stop calling all together and just send out letters to both me and my spouse demanding money with debt collectors for debts we dont owe. it's absolutely disgusting to go after someone like that after seeking help and only managing to get one appt. 1 appt. 1 appt that they " couldn't" (didn't want to) confirm was covered by my insurance. DO NOT go to them. they are money hungry, and will sue and drag you down for a measly penny and appt. zero stars for those people

Beware of payment system. Based on our experience, they are inflexible. This creates unaccessible…read moreservices for those with high deductible insurance who cannot pay the entire balance. This is unfortunate because my child needs consistent services but will not receive the support they need due to evolving policies. Besides rethinking this policy, services were satisfactory.
