I didn't have very high expectations of Mix & Match - mostly on account of the cheapness of the signage and lameness of the name. However, the women's fashions inside were both cheap and (sometimes) quite wearable.
The huge sale banners on the windows are referring to the racks of items starting at £3. These aren't the wearable things. Nearby racks start at £10, and contain nicer stuff - t-shirts, sweaters, ponchos, leggings and even a few coats. (Yup, £10 coats.)
There was a large selection of accessories and gift ideas. The jewellery was pretty bad, but some decent scarves started at £4.99.
Also available: shoes and boots, some Marilyn Munroe prints on canvas (£5 and £10), leg warmers, hats and mittens and some little alarm clocks. I noticed some British memorabilia too - mini-blow up phone booths, snow globes and key chains.
So, for a discount shop, it's not bad. It's best to walk in without expectation. read more
