I met with Elisa (the owner) to review my past year returns, business details, etc. in order to prepare my 2012 tax returns and to begin handling the accounting of my new business. In any event, I sent her several follow up emails over the course of a few weeks to see what was going on...all with no response. Over the course of a month, I left more messages for her, sent more emails, stopped by her office to find out how she was doing on my returns (she was never there; always at her office in LA) etc...all to no avail. She just simply vanished. After about 6 weeks, Elisa called me back and stated " We're you trying to get in contact with me?". Anyway, needless to say, I already moved on to another accountant. My Trustee engaged Mr. Ofseyer and then we discovered that he simply didn't understand the Heggsted rule, that it only was applicable to people that died (not our case), and that he simply was trying to show expertise when there was none. To make matters worse, he emailed my other attorney about when they would be back from vacation (several times) and ate up nearly $1000 in these emails, without even looking at the Trusts!! I then got notice that my attorney had left our Family Law case, so Mr. Ofseyer decided to also let us go (even though he was independent and not attached to the case). Extremely non-professional and I would NEVER recommend an attorney to someone who portrayed excellence when in fact their moral compass was so skewed. There are other attorney's out there - do not hire one that values your case, and money, so low on the spectrum. And above all, make sure they have a personality - it's very odd to meet with someone who has none. Other than that, Mr. Ofseyer was brilliant!!! :)

I had three states to file plus federal taxes, a cross country move, W2's from 2 different states, stock sale and a closing of a 401k plan. Needless to say I was rather worried I would owe a huge sum of money. Stanley was referred to me by a co-worker that has trusted him with her business and personal finances for years.
