The person at the counter was super friendly, patient, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We ordered the Mr. Eats 305 bagel, and wow--it did not disappoint! It came open-faced with sliced nova, plain cream cheese (not overly heavy), cucumber, hollandaise, crispy onions, scallions, and a drizzle of hot honey. The flavors were perfectly balanced and unique. They also offer homemade schmears, which is always a plus. We chose to go with the asiago bagels, which were soft, fresh, and honestly took me right back to NYC. We also had a classic bacon, egg, and cheese, and that was just as satisfying. Prices are a bit on the higher side, with bagels ranging anywhere between $14-$18, but the quality and flavors make it worth it. Well I said I would try lunch at Mitch's and that day has come. The Fort Lauderdale location is clean, organized, and well-kept. Service was great and there is a bunch of food options to choose from. I got the pastrami sandwich with fries, which was super tasty. The fries were delicious and perfect, in my opinion. The pastrami was fresh and was a tasty, hot sandwich. Just wow. I've been living around the corner for over two years and just realized this small little spot. But when I tell you, it's giving city/small business and amazing ambience I mean it. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with so much high energy, it was busy, and I still felt attended. I received my coffee and my bagel within a matter of minutes and enjoyed the scenery with new development right outside. The food was literally amazing, and I'm so happy that the bagel was not overly sized so I was able to finish the whole thing! 10 out of 10. This is my new breakfast spot. I was looking for a cafe to eat at after an event that I attended in Fort Lauderdale and decided to try Mitch's bagel café. I ordered one of the smoked salmon bagels and a Matcha latte. It seems as though this place is very busy because many of the bagels were already sold out and many of the seats were taken. The bagel was good, but I thought it was a little salty for my taste and the Matcha wasn't my favorite. I would like to note that many of the items, especially those with smoked salmon, are about $18. My friend ordered there was an egg sandwich for a much lower price which she enjoyed. The service was quick and the staff were OK. The space is a bit small for the amount of people that come through, but we were able to find seating on some barstools. I do like that there was a lot of street parking available in the front as well as the back. Overall I'm glad I was able to try it out. read more

I visited Mitch's Downtown for lunch and found the experience to be satisfactory. The establishment presents itself as a clean and comfortable dining area which serves both food and workspace needs. The chicken wrap I chose delivered fresh flavors while the fries served as a small portion that exceeded my taste expectations with their excellent seasoning. The high price of $6 for a muffin remained the only negative aspect of my visit. The restaurant served excellent food while providing fast service to its customers. My first visit to Mitch's Downtown definitely won't be my last, thanks to the all-star service from Precious. I came in disappointed after two bad experiences in a row at another bagel shop, and she completely changed the tone of my day. I walked in right before closing, and she still grilled my order without hesitation. The other place had shut down its grill 30 minutes before closing, and more than half its bagel items were out of stock. Mitch's has a healthier and wider selection, and it more than satisfied my big appetite. Precious even let me sit and relax for a few minutes after closing in a comfortable, inviting space. It was $18.50, so definitely not cheap. It tasted good, but it was a bit messy to eat. My boyfriend got the Hangover bagel with no cheese on a sesame bagel. He liked his sandwich but didn't think it was quite worth the $14. He did say the hash brown was nice and crispy though. I ordered this bagel platter for a few of us. There were countless bagels included, maybe fifteen. The amount of cream cheese was mind boggling and much appreciated. They are not skimpy at all like most other places. I mean, the depth of the cream cheese amount was brilliant. I love my cream cheese if you couldn't tell. Both the regular and Chinese cream cheese were good, but the chive hit it out of the park. The bagels were fresh. They were very good. The Asiago bagel was much thinner than the others which was disappointing because I love that flavor. Oh, I forgot to mention the tomatoes. These were incredibly delicious. It seems most markets just don't sell tasty tomatoes. I would love to buy the ones Mitch's buys. So, so good. I wish there were more olives and less onions. The platter was packed with them. My bag was already waiting on the counter when I arrived, which made it quick and easy. But that's because they do very good bagels/breakfast bagels! It's a deli, but I really go there for the bagels to be frank. They have everything from asiago, onion, cinnamon raisin, and egg everything bagels. Everything can be turned into a bagel. They also do really good coffee and matcha! They also do breakfasts like french toast; they have sweets like cinnamon rolls; there are bagel chips and spreads sold separately. I'm not too sure what they do for the deli part actually. Wow! Tried the westside during our trip and when we needed one for another early midweek excursion, I immediately searched for a Mitch's near downtown! Mitches has some of the best bagels I have had in a long time. I really love the taste and the sandwich toppings and offerings were great. They don't charge for changes on cheese like others, and the mobile ordering was easy so we could pickup and go. Easy access to front of shop in early morning. They do have seating and restrooms, but I did not stay long. Tipping optional online and instore. Many coffee offerings and drinks. Bag was ready and we were on our way. Great service. read more

My true score is a 3.5 I decided to give Mitches another try. I was by the Fort Lauderdale location so I decided to check out that one. There is street parking around the restaurant. During the week day, it was easy to find parking. Now you just have to make sure you know how to parallel park. The ambiance of this restaurant was bright but quaint. There was outdoor and in door seating. I decided to get the hang over again. They didnt have the asiago cheese bagel so i went with their plain bagel. I saw they had hot honey on another sandwich so i asked for it on the side. And i subbed the bacon out for sausage since I'm more of a sausage person. It took about 20 minutes to get the sandwich. They also had cucumber water available while you waited. It was refreshing. I enjoyed my sandwich from here. I didn't like the bagel ( not sure what about it I didnt like even though it was a plain bagel) but the sandwich was good. I added hot sauce and the hot honey made it even more enjoyable. I really liked the sandwich with the sausage in it. Overall, i really enjoyed my meal. The service was average in my opinion. Most of the interaction was at the counter. read more
