Very happy with the service. The price was fair. Very professional service. I would recommend to anyone.

Technician arrived on time and completed the tuneup for furnaces in a timely manner. He was friendly and knowledgeable. Mitchell Heating and Cooling installed my furnaces and air conditioner unit and done the tuneups over the last almost 30 years. read more

Several months ago, a friend recommended Mitchell to me. I wish they wouldn't have. I had Mitchell install a new furnace for my house on the south side of town. After the install, I noticed a huge nail protruding through my wall and the furnace was incredibly loud. I financed the furnace and told the financing company that the job wasn't complete because of the huge nail protruding through my wall and the furnace was incredibly loud. I had to set it to fiftyfive degrees so that it wouldn't wake me up. Mitchell called me and tried to guilt trip me because I was refusing to okay the job and wanted to be at my house for the repair. I'm a teacher and scheduling something during the week is difficult. After scheduling the repair, they told me that they were going to send their best guy to fix everything. He took care of the nail, but told me that they couldn't do anything about how loud the furnace was. After some back and fourth, he told me that they could install some additional ductwork and that would take care of the problem. It didn't work. I was told that there wasn't anything that they could do due to the location of the furnace and that new furnaces are loud. My realtor recommended Luke from Superheat. He came by yesterday and solved the problem within an hour. Don't waste your time or money with Mitchell. read more

Stay away, no communication skills . They talk a big talk .when they screw up don't expect them to fix it..stay away or you will regret it.

Had them out to inspect and fix our HVAC that wasn't cooling. 1st visit was $500 to clean out debris and for them to tell us "that fixed it." Don't cool at all over 80 degrees in the home. Had them come out again and had "wire shorts and loose connections." Still didn't cool. Each time was something else and another charge. After the capacitor was told to us the 4th time we just begged them to help and fix their consistent issues. Finally a 5th time out and the "compressor is out and system won't work." OVER $1,000 later and our HVAC system is worse than before we called them. We asked for a discount or something to "make this right." We were contacted by them and told they would give us a "free estimate" for a new system... save yourself $, time, a headache, and just call someone else. read more

I have used Mitchell Heating and cooling for years to service both my house and my townhome. They do an excellent job tuning up the furnace as well as cleaning it. I highly recommend them! read more

Thus far our experience with Mitchell Heating & Cooling has been wonderful. Jeremiah assisted us in determining the correctly sized TRANE furnace and air conditioning units. They subcontracted the installation to Jeremiah's brother Jacob (Sublime Heating and Cooling) and he did a great job. The office staff is extremely helpful and assisted us as we got on the TRANE website to correctly fill out our warranty information. If we encounter any problems going forward I will update this review. read more

When I reached this page I was unable to change what was already here and it took me a couple of minutes to realize I just have to start typing to remove what was there (why were comments there already?). I am confused as to why negative comments were already there...almost like Yelp was trying to make me post what was there/already typed up, which was negative. I'd appreciate someone telling me why those comments were already there. I bought a brand new house in Colorado Springs but did not get the AC upgrade. After all, I don't need AC since I just survived 3 years in San Antonia, 2.5 years in Hawai'i (if someone tells you Hawai'i has nice weather, immediately provide them with a knuckle sandwich and repeat about 5 times! It is HOT!) After the first summer in Colorado Springs, I realize I can't handle summer in CS without AC. I contacted Mitchell Healing and got my brand new AC. My reason for going with Mitchell was because I went through a winter where I forgot to change the filter and /cough, stuttered my furnace! Who remembers to change filters? I didn't. Our furnace went kaput and my husband was deployed that first winter in Colorado Springs. The tech came and help coached me through that first winter on my own. Both my husband and I trust them to take care of me whether he is there or not. This means a lot to me and to him. I am Asian and when you speak with me, you will see and hear that English is my second language. While I have multiple degrees, I still speak English with an accent and some grammatical issues. Everyone in this company displays utmost professionalism when communicating with me. The techs spend the time listening "carefully" to me and ask for clarification and I appreciate that. If I have any questions, I get Kim at the office and she lays everything out in black and white! We are in the process of moving to Arizona. I am hoping to bring Mitchell Heating with me. I've heard that Arizona is a "smidge" hot. We shall see. Love you guys, Apologies for any grammatical errors :( I checked and rechecked! Grammarly can only do so much! Bo Beyer read more

Working with this company has been a nightmare. We wanted to replace our Mitsubishi mini split heat pumps. Nearly one year into this project only one of the two units is working. Getting the units in stock took a long time which was a Mitsubishi issue. But everything else has been Mitchell issues. They ordered the wrong replacement part when a part being assembled wouldn't work, which delayed getting this unit working property. Mitchell employs sub contractors that have to be scheduled out weeks ahead. Then they realize that they scheduled workers that don't do Mitsubishi units and need to reschedule with the right workers, pushing out the schedule again. They processed our final payment without our permission without our saying everything was working. We have finally had to hire another company to finish this project who, refreshingly, really seems to care. We aren't an annoyance to them. read more

This company has a hard time standing behind their warranties. I've dealt with them for 7 years. Each year the AC goes out and each year they claim there are no leaks. Yet, the refrigerant is low every year to the point where it won't cool the house at all! No leak? Yeah, right. They know they need to replace the outside condenser unit, but they won't even though it was under warranty for 5 years and all 5 years they refused to fix it. Instead they blame me! "You must be running it a lot" Actually the thermostat in my house is set at 72-75 degrees. And it's set to 83 degrees at night! No, that's not demanding too much to ask the AC to cool the house down to that range for a few hours in the afternoon! Now they say that their records don't go back that far. Wow, absolutely ridiculous! read more

Mitchell heating took advantage of hundreds of homeowners by installing terrible duct work in Colorado Springs when providing install with Aspen View homes. Another well reputable HVAC company said the layout "makes no sense" and "is the worst ductwork I've ever seen in a home". The layout makes my AC almost useless, so much wasted energy just to get the house to 78 degrees. Avoid this company at all cost, because it'll cost you. read more

Well I am not shocked by the other reviews I read and hopefully I can save anyone from giving this TERRIBLE company ANY business. NEGATIVE FIVE STARS I have left 5 messages for a manager and still have not received a phone call back. Apparently they are too busy and important to deal with a customer. Are air conditioner was serviced by them 30 days ago and not working again so we crested they come out and check their work and they said the charge would be $85 an hour. The incompetent fools Jasmine, Kim, and Crystal that answered the phone told me sometimes air conditioners just stopped working. I've never been so insulted by someone you see our house is a new build and a new air conditioner that was installed by Mitchell heating. They blamed builders and the construction of the house and told me I should contact them it's not their problem. SHAME ON YOU MITCHELL HEATING FOR TREATING MILITARY THIS WAY. They take no accountability for their work and refused to stand Behind it. They're supposedly "Premier dealer"with Lennox Air conditioners ... I've already lodged a complaint with Lennox's consumer affairs departments. I just got off the phone AGAIN with them and S manager IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE. This is absolutely LUDICROUS! read more

The technician, Chris, was very knowledgeable and fast. I work in the HVAC field myself (albeit, not nearly as long as him), and was very impressed with his general understanding of how these systems work. This knowledge is vital in properly diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC problems. He is also very friendly and polite. He reminds me of my HVAC professors from tech school. I would have Chris over for dinner if he didn't live so far away. I'd also like to thank Crystal in their dispatch. She was incredibly patient and listened very well. Thanks, guys for the prompt and courteous warranty work! (Sincerely, Scott from Berthoud) read more

Mitchell Heating was the original installer for my home's HVAC. With the original 5-year warranty expired and experiencing a major equipment failure, they were able to get ALL of the needed replacement parts covered for FREE with the original manufacturer which saved me THOUSANDS of dollars. Additionally, their work was done expertly and professionally. Highly recommended! read more

At the time of writing this review, I am without AC, in a brand new house, that I paid an upcharge in order to get AC. This started back in February 2020. Mitchell Heating did not install the proper wire to control the air conditioning portion of the HVAC system. As such, I had to have two holes cut in my ceiling so that could install the wire. Then, about a month ago, the system froze up and was leaking water through the ceiling. A tech came out and flippantly said "it's because you have a too restrictive air filter. If you'd like, I can install a freeze stat so it won't freeze up again." After paying $153 in order to have his recommended freeze stat installed and changing to a cheap less restrictive air filter, the system freezes up not less than a week later, again leaking water through the ceiling. This time, the tech comes out and finds two leaks in the system. Repairs one and spends a couple of hours looking for the other. Then tells me, "oh, there was only one leak. Seems my equipment wasn't calibrated correctly." Really? Same equipment that found the first leak? Tech puts in partial refrigerant because he ran out and they cannot finish the job for an entire week. Come out on 7/10/2020 to finish the job with the correct amount of refrigerant. As of 7/13/2020, it is 80 degrees in my house with the thermostat set to 69 degrees. Call, "we are over a week booked out." I can't sleep at night nor can I work during the day because it's so hot in my house...a BRAND NEW HOUSE with a system installed by Mitchell Heating. This is beyond ridiculous. They get the heating part of their name right. read more

This has been a great company to work with so far. We bought a brand new home with a unit that Michell installed. The air suddenly wasn't working after 3 months. I called their after hours number on a Friday, on Monday morning I had a call back from a very nice lady who listened and wrote down my odd instructions for when someone came to look at it. Sometimes people get confused anyway, so it was nice that they didn't. When they came they looked at the unit thoroughly, and discovered the 2 things that we were doing wrong with it. Oops. They needed to shut it off and come back the next day, and they did. They also helped my mom, who lives next door with questions that she had... plus they helped at least 2 other neighbors across the street from us, since a lot of people had questions about their new units too. They informed us that we needed to register them and that they have an awesome service that you can pay for that prolongs the life of your warranty, plus sends someone out for a check up. They gave us all so much great information when maybe the builder should have informed everyone of some of these details? Not sure, but I'm glad that we all got great service! It was really wonderful that Jeremiah was so good to everyone. read more

Today Erich Came out to fix my A/C. He was very friendly and professional. We had no idea what was wrong with the A/C you could have told us anything you wanted to but instead you told us exactly what was wrong even though it turned out to be less expensive than originally quoted. I really appreciate you and your honesty. I will refer everyone to Mitchell Heating. read more
