Scheduled an eye appointment for my elderly father about 2 months ago at this location on Vernon Avenue. I gave the receptionist all pertinent information (name, insurance information and so on). So I arrive today, only to find out that the office apparently changed the time to an hour later. The receptionist at the desk claimed that she couldn't find his insurance information in the system. (Refer to previous sentence) Even after confirming my elderly fathers insurance information, they refused to provide eye service. I don't want to say this situation is racial but I certainly feel a certain kind of way. I just don't understand why, after verifying his insurance information, they still refused to see my father (he has cataracts). I am totally pissed and disgusted. I Will NEVER recommend or patronize this business. This is the 21st century and there was not a whites only sign on the door. The little girl that I initially spoke with was quite dismissive and the 2nd white lady wasn't any better. She tried to keep my fathers ID. Her attitude was quite unprofessional when I told her to give me the copy of his ID that she made when she said that his name doesn't match his birthdate. It was right there on his Drivers License . This is an example of what our grandparents went through. read more
