Also in this health center is the Imaging Center and Breast Care Clinic where I have been getting mammograms and other treatment for over 10 years now. I have always had super prompt service, fabulous technicians, state of the art equipment, and quick and thorough communication afterwards. The one time there was a concern, I dealt with the radiologist while still on site. Today I had a screening using the new 3-D imaging which picks up more super early cancers when they can be treated less aggressively. I highly recommend Mercy for breast care health.

It seemed to be a newer experience to have someone with my medical history and gender identity, but there were no moments where I felt disrespected. If anything, the team here was eager to make me comfortable and heard -- with the registration member checking to get me the appropriate paperwork. Even the mammogram was a good experience, with the technician getting as much relevant information as possible for the doctor. The waiting room itself is big and plush as well. Gives you some sense of privacy. So, big thanks to making me feel safe and heard every step of the way!

The wait is usually 15-30 minutes in the waiting room and anther 15-30 when you get to an exam room. The clinic waiting area never appears to be especially clean, but the exam rooms are clean. If you go there, be prepared to wait and get a paper prescription from the doctor. I would give two and a half stars if I could. I wish I could review Dr. Bentley separately. He is great. Update: My husband needs papers completed by the doctor for his attorney,but the clinic office will not let the doctor do that unless he pays them $179.00 and they said insurance would not pay. It would pay. They said it is for a physical and that is paid in full once a year except for labs. He is changing doctors as soon as he can.

My experience with Dr. Cross and the staff at Breast Treatment Associates was the WORST medical…read moreexperience I have ever had. Everything about my visit was less than desirable. I was referred to him after having two abnormal mammograms and an ultrasound performed at my local hospital. I waited one month for an appointment because he came so highly recommended. My appointment was at 3:00 and I finally got into the exam room at 4:20. The nurse asked me the same questions that I completed online in their 12 page questionnaire. When I asked the nurse why she was asking me the questions when I had already filled out the survey, she said "oh no one ever completes those correctly". Dr. Cross finally came in after another 30 minute wait. It was obvious that it was the end of a long day for him and I was his last patient. He quickly looked at the films I had brought with me and determined that I needed to have a cyst in my left breast drained. After several attempts to do so, the cyst was still not drained. He cited concerns about some areas in my right breast and told me that I would have to go in for 3 biopsies. My husband, who had accompanied me to my appointment, asked Dr. Cross for clarification about the abnormal areas he saw in my right breast. Dr. Cross had already taken the films down and his reply was "You should have spoken up sooner." He did put the films back up, after much frustrated shuffling through them, to explain what he saw. Fortunately my husband is very astute and realized that the film was upside down and it was the film of the OTHER breast. Needless to say I have NOT gone back to see Dr. Cross nor have I followed through on his recommendation. I am seeking a second opinion with another doctor. I would not recommend Dr. Cross or his staff to anyone. Perhaps he was having a bad day, but the level of customer service and concern shown by this center was deplorable.

I've lived coast-to-coast and have had doctors from some of the most esteemed medical systems. None have been as good as Dr. Bicak. He has a friendly and humorous bedside manner and "seen it all" experience. Now my entire family sees Dr. Bicak. We are all very happy with our treatment and especially thrilled with the quick and easy availability of last minute appointments. I highly recommend "The Clinic" if you are looking for a hometown primary care doctor. One who is not driven by "big medicine" systems and unnecessary testing.

However, especially in recent months, the service times and the front desk staff have turned what used to be a good experience into a complete disaster. My last appointment was scheduled for 8:15 (they open at 8) with a lab scheduled for 8:00. At 9:00, I had not had a lab nor seen the doctor. This has been the standard the prior four trips and after the last one, I found another doctor who is able to remain on schedule for the second appointment of his day.
