Dr Barber has been helping me live much better with my feet, since the alternative (living without my feet) is not a desirable option. His expertise and his services using that expertise are excellent, and have helped me through the years. His prescribed orthotics have also been excellent. He has helped me with toe nails, calluses, a bunion, blisters etc. At times I needed an even higher level of care. One time was for a neuroma (involves difficulty with nerve tissue), which Dr. Barber accurately and immediately diagnosed and treated (with an injection to relieve the pain right away, and orthotic padding that prevented further pain). Another time was for an ingrown nail that required surgery. Dr. Barber has a very pleasant manner, and educates you on what he's doing, and how to best take care of your feet. I highly recommend Dr Barber if you want the best possible care for your feet so that you can also live better with your feet. read more

Dr. Barber was great with our kids (11 and 13) and was able to explain to them and me why the cycle of boot/crutches/brace they had both been in for years wasn't going to result in any long-term solutions. His staff is terrific and super-efficient - a well-oiled machine! read more

If I had written this review before my last visit with Dr. Smith, I would have given him 4 or 5 stars. Now, it is 1 star. During preparation to see Dr. Smith, his assistant offered an additional treatment for my toenail problem without mentioning that BCBS does not cover it. At checkout I was surprised to learn that there would be a $60 out-of-pocket charge for the additional treatment; for diabetes which I do not have and BCBS does not cover. Since Dr. Smith performed the diabetes treatment, I assume that he concurred with the offer made by the assistant. The whole situation is akin to exculpatory evidence being withheld in a court case. Under the circumstances Dr. Smith should see that I receive a refund of the $60, which I paid using my Visa Credit Card. Whether or not I receive the credit, an adversarial relationship now exists between Dr. Smith and me. Consequently, I will no longer use his services. In about one month, I will report on whether I receive the $60 credit. read more

I so enjoy my visits to Dr. Barber. His staff is very friendly and helpful. Dr. Barber is superb. He has me walking better with orthotics. He helped my dry skin and callouses with special lotions. This practice is awesome! Recently I have also had a brace designed by the biomechanical specialist who works with Dr. Barber. He, too, is a great addition to the practice. read more

Dr Barber uses the latest Cool laser to treat nail fungus problems. Doesn't hurt and fast. This Cool laser makes a big difference in fixing nasty nails! First thing that works.. May put my flip flops back on this summer. read more

The doctor is very rude and treats the staff like crap. He would talk about patients and all he wants is the MONEY. If you don't have the MONEY he would treat you like crap. He forces you to buy orthotics even tho you don't have any type of pain on your feet. The staff is great very kind and loving. The doctor may know his stuff but the way he treats staff and patients don't want to make you come back again. I only went there 3 times. read more

Absolutely horrible doctor. Literally, go somewhere else if you have the choice even if you have to wait! He consistently has a long wait to see a patient and then a long wait in the waiting room and then a long wait to receive any services you get from him. Bought orthotics, paid for them completely upfront and couldn't pick them up until he "dispensed" them all so he could charge me for a 2nd appointment that I never wanted! Barber podiatry is a wonderful office, the staff is great and the doctor is amazing. I first started going to Dr. Barber about 8 years ago for pain in my feet that made it virtually impossible for me to walk. He was able to help me in just a couple of visits. I ended up having problems again just this last year and my new insurance company sent me to a different provider. After working with a different doctor to no avail for 3 months, I put in a special request to return to Dr. Barber. My request was approved and Dr. Barber was able to help me again. Dr. Barber is amazing! He stays up on the latest technologies and is very knowledgeable in his field and truly cares about his patients. I put my trust in him to know the best way to help my feet. This time Dr. Barber was able to help my feet using a noninvasive, pain free laser treatment as an alternative treatment for my heel pain.
