Excellent. I have been a customer of Michell and Smith since it opened many years ago. I have my hair cut, coloured, mesh applied and styled every 4-6 weeks. This is a profesisonally run salon by a master sylist, Jackie and her business partner Vicki. Staff is well supervised and always friendly. The salon is clean, bright, comfortable and modern. Magazines current. Lovely cappucino. Appointments run on time and efficiently. Prices are reasonable. I lived in many parts of the world before the UK and had experience with many salons and stylists over the years -- none compare to Jackie! When on occassion I have had to go elsewhere due to being away from the UK, I have "run" back to Jackie each and every time to "fix" the mess the other salon made. I also use the esthetics services offered by Taz and Amy. Also excellent. The arcrylic nails Taz applies last a long time and don't break or chip! Spray tans are natural looking. Lots of decadent spa services offered. I now live in Derby and drive to Uttoxeter just to have my hair done (and that is a drive of over 30 miles). I am a business owner myself and expect good service and here, I have never been disappointed and highly recommend this salon. read more
