Recently, my 14 year old Carrier Infinity furnace started making a lot of noise when the inducer…read moremotor came on. So, I turned it off. I called one HVAC company up, and and the guy they sent out said that I should get a new furnace. I also called another HVAC company up for a 2nd opinion, and the guy that they sent was a little older, and said that he had seen this before: the seal between the inducer motor and the inducer fan had gotten dried out over the last 14 years, which is understandable. So, he put a few drops of oil on it, and it stopped the noise, and hasn't been a problem 3 days ever since. I'll probably have him come back and replace the seal entirely, but there is no hurry to do so now. According to him, replacing the seal can be an issue because you may need to replace parts when taking the the inducer fan apart, and depending upon how hard it is to get the fan blade off the shaft. But it is a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a new furnace.

DO NOT HIRE!! NEVER refunded me like he told me he would do. Unfortunately I have to do a follow up…read morereview from my original from 7/29/24 on Dell and EZ pressure washing. So Dell did NOT complete the cleaning of my house like he promised he would do if the grime was not fully removed the first time (see review from 7/29/2024). After months of trying to get in touch with him and him ignoring me multiple times and then eventually not showing once we finally got something scheduled, he refused to come out and complete the job. I have no clue why he did not come back and he had ZERO explanation. He just ignored my communication attempts and then after me trying to get ahold of him multiple times, he threatened ME with legal action of cease and assist letters. He eventually told me that he would refund my money and we can be done. I said that is fine and send me a check. After not seeing the check for a month I texted him, and he said he submitted it on August 6 and it could take 60 days. It is now October 21 and I have not received ANYTHING. I reached out to him a few times to see what's going on and again he has ignored me. Do not trust Dell. He told me he would come back and finish the job. Never did. He told me he would refund my money. Never did. He told me customer service is number 1. Clearly is not. I would not recommend him at all. I have no idea what happened and even asked him why he didn't finish the job and then wouldn't communicate with me, and nothing. I have multiple texts and communication streams to back all of this craziness up.
