The moment I walked in, every single hairstylist gave me cold, unfriendly looks as they sat around chatting. It was clear they had no interest in serving customers. My hairstylist didn't bother to engage with me at all. Instead, she continued her conversation with the other stylists, which I found extremely rude. She cut my hair completely dry, something I've never experienced before, and the result was disastrous. The layers were terrible, and it was clear that she lacked the skill to work with my multiple hair textures, which I wish she admitted rather than trying and butchering my hair. When she mentioned she had only been doing hair for 2 1/2 years, it made sense why my haircut turned out so poorly. To top it off, as I left, I received more rude looks from every stylist in the salon. I have never felt so uncomfortable and unwelcome while getting my hair done in my life. My roommate had a similar experience a few months ago, where they also cut her hair dry and ruined it with awful "curtain bangs." We will never be returning to this location and will be warning everyone we know about the terrible service.

I used to go to Jennie's for haircuts, manicures and pedicures. The last time I went and had a…read morepedicure I got a fungal infection on two of my toenails. I stopped going for pedicures. It's taken me a long time to almost get rid of it. Here is the interesting part. I went in for a haircut, and the pedicurist saw me and said I haven't been in for a long time and asked if I would like to schedule a pedicure. I'm assuming she remembered me because I give good tips. I told her I have a fungal infection from the last time and I still have it. She said no problem; she would still give me a pedicure. I am not sure, but if someone has a fungal infection, should the salon be giving them pedicures. Isn't that how I got it? I feel the bowl wasn't cleaned properly or they didn't have an autoclave for the instruments. Well, I am still trying to get rid of this fungal infection. But I don't even go for haircuts anymore. I don't think it's very clean there.

As she did my hair she continued to complain about how she had to use more product and really didn't have time to do my hair. She was very rough with me tugging and pulling. She would constantly tell me it was going to cost more to do my hair. She then told me after my hair was colored that she didn't have time to cut it. That I'll have to make another appointment to have it cut. Then she hesitated in wanting to at least blow dry it. She had to have help but by that time my head was so sore from all the pulling that I couldn't take the mistreatment anymore. I got up and paid the bill. No tip of course because of the mistreatment.

What you will not find at Razorz Edge is the snobby atmosphere of other salons here in BloNo (for real....this is BloNo not Park Avenue) and you won't find the hyper inflated prices for a haircut either. Razorz Edge also features several (very clean) tanning beds and nail services for the ladies or the cosmopolitan gentleman. The salon is a bit off the beaten path by you can easily access it by exiting Veterans Parkway onto South Main Street and turning right at the Dairy Queen (everyone....and I mean....EVERYONE in BloNo know where that is). If you want an appointment with Rosie you're going to wait, but besides that they seem to do a brisk walk-in business and I've never seen anyone leave dissatisfied. When I entered the salon, I was greeted warmly and then saw one of my dads big paintings on the wall behind the reception desk! What a wonderful surprise! Sally gave me excellent advise on how to manage some issues I have with my scalp and hair, gave me a great cut and really listened to what I wanted done. She even stuck a few samples in my bag to try out later! The salon is very clean, beautifully decorated and the whole staff was really friendly. If I lived there, I'd definitely be a regular! Thank you again to Sally for making a very difficult time a little less stressful for me, knowing that at least I didn't need to worry about my hair.
