My wife is from New York, and me being local, she used to tell tales of the legendary Mister Softee trucks in comparison to our Foster's Freeze. Well, Santa Barbara no longer has a Foster's Freeze, but somehow we gained a Mister Softee! My wife says it's the real deal. This is strictly the highest quality rich and creamy soft-serve ice cream, in vanilla, chocolate or swirl. You can get a number of fun flavored dips and crunchy toppings, shakes, malts and cookie sandwiches - the combinations are endless. Shakes are fantastic and come with a straw the size of a small pipe, which is ingenious. Staff is very efficient and friendly and the shop is colorful spacious and clean. On State and Carrillo, which is convenient if you are strolling, or there is a 15min park zone around the corner for quick emergency take outs. Yay! read more

This is the BEST soft serve ice-cream that I've ever had. We tried the Fried Ice-Cream which is a vanilla soft serve dipped in chocolate on a cone with corn flakes and cinnamon. I had never tasted anything like this before and wow. We also had the Oreo shake and it was easily the best I've ever had. We brought our dog and got her a Pup Cup. The Pup Cup had vanilla soft serve with a Milk Bone and whip cream. She devoured it. We were all in the best mood after! The customer service was amazing!
