We went out with Tyler three times on our recent trip to Jacksonville. We were staying on the St…read moreJohn's River and had access to a boat, so we wanted someone to show us where and how to fish. Tyler explained that the SJR is hard fishing, with the brackish water. Fishing will be better there in a couple of months when the shrimp come in and the big fish follow, and fishing would be better out of St Augustine, but we had the boat on SJR, so he obliged. The first day we went out on Tyler's boat. He was so helpful, explaining the right tackle, spots, what to look for and how to do it and caught fish. Next day we went out on our own and realized that we needed more help, so we hired Tyler a 2nd time as 'mate'. He went on our boat with us, and supplied all of the tackle and bait. We caught several fish, reds, trout, flounder, catfish. After this 2nd lesson we were successful on our own. At the end of the week we went out of St. Augustine oh his charter and much better fishing - constant action and we brought home trout, redfish, flounder and had an awesome time. My husband has PPA, and Tyler was so very good with him - helping him to catch the big ones. Our group highly recommends Tyler and Last Call Fishing Charter. He grew up in this area and knows his stuff. He is a hard and fast worker, making sure you have fresh bait, the right spots, and every possible chance to catch the big ones. Great fishing skills and people skills! Awesome boat and gear. Go with him and his recommendations, or he will customize a trip for you on his boat or your boat as captain or mate.

Once we agreed and signed the contract, they were great about laying out the complete process. Besides for a few back orders ,which has nothing to do with them, everything was completed on time and to perfection. Throughout the process, their foreman would always swing by to see if we had any questions and to inspect the work of each contractor. Finally the Jandy (AquaLink) equipment used is of superior quality and only adds to the pool experience. I even joked with them that they were by far the best vendor that I have dealt with or hired.

My photos do not do justice to the view from this perch. Paved trails meandered in two different directions, and we rested on a bench while enjoying the expansive views. Dr Robert B. Hayling was the "father" of the Civil Rights Movement in St Augustine in the '60's, and this panoramic park is only one of many ways this notable leader has been recognized throughout the local community and in Florida. His encouragement & participation in non-violent activism exposed him to both admirers & haters. Additionally, he had served as an officer in the Air Force, and was the first black dentist in Florida admitted to the American Dental Association. In the park there is an art installment that was erected back in 2015 for the city's 450th birthday celebration, It's an 8.5' tall replica of the original Monumento de la constitućion covered in photographs of people holding a minature of the original monument. We stay at the inn at least 3 weekends a year and always take our fur child. We like to walk with her in the park. The park is never crowded and very peaceful. Being in Florida, it is also has many trees, which provide plenty of shade. There are also several benches throughout for you to sit. They are made out of stone. There is a statue of St. Francis of Assisi in the back corner of the park. Our dog hates it for some reason and always barks at it! We did notice this recent trip that homeless people are staying there at night, just an FYI. It is also a little higher than the sidewalk. I never noticed a ramp for wheelchairs, just stairs. This park is so quiet and a great place to meditate or reflect. You don't even need music.

We are three women without any experience in fishing and a great desire for a tourist excitement. We wanted to look shark straight into his eyes and say....hello dinner. I guess in each of us there must be a huntress hiding under the skin. While on the phone Capt. Jason promised us to see various aquatic life and fresh fish for dinner. He took us to the inland waters as well as off shore. He taught us how to hook a bait, cast it to the water and voile ... the first shark was caught!!! He instructed us how to fight the fish and boy that's what will make your blood rush!!! The fish is really strong! We caught 2 sharks altogether but decided one will go back to the ocean. One rule in our family is... never take more than you can eat. We also were lucky to catch three red fish and a flounder in the inland waters. During the whole trip Capt. Jason took really great care of us making sure we safe and comfortable. He reminded us about reapplying sunscreen and when we were really hot pulled out a big beach umbrella ( the reason other boat's owners make fun of him) and covered us from the sun. He also entertained us with many local stories and anecdotes and shared his knowledge about the history of the region. He provides great customer service and is very generous with his time.
