This place makes you feel at home. Brew tender Martin there greeting you as you come in. Everyone treats you like a friend Richard does trivia every Tuesday. It is very entertaining. Few things go better together than great beer and knowledge!! Friday and Saturday there is live music! Brother Smoke plays a wide variety of songs on Friday and Ruby Moon Saturday. We live in San Diego and were recently on a road trip through the Northern Plains; we stopped in here for a beer. The beer was really great and we know craft beer because.....San Diego! The bartender, Martin, was fabulous, friendly and funny and he gave us a tour of the whole brewery. Several locals came up to introduce themselves and stayed to chat. We ordered food to be delivered from the Wolf Point Cafe (which has been owned by the same family for 4 generations) and the owner, J. J., delivered our food himself (possibly because Martin rewards him with a pint of IPA when he does) J.J. hung out with us while we enjoyed our delicious food and shared some of the history of his cafe. We had planned to just have one beer and go but the whole experience was so delightful, we stayed until closing. All and all, one of the high points of our road trip. Very highly recommend! This is a great spot, with a really friendly family that runs the whole operation. It was fun to casually meet the Owner, the Brewer, and the Beertender through our time there. The IPA and Stout are great, but the real winners are their "Big Beaver Belchin' Ale" and the "Highland Cow Scottish Ale". If you're headed from Montana to North Dakota, you really only add 3 hours to your trip by going up through the Highline, and get to enjoy three breweries you'd otherwise miss in the process if you stick to I-94. read more

We are staying in Wolf Point as we pass through on our way to Glacier Natl Park. Our hotel manager believes that the only thing open on Sunday nite for dinner is McDonalds-which is hard to accept-so we took a short drive thru town and noticed this gem of a brewery. The sign said it was closed but the lights were on so we stuck our heads in and were welcomed by the friendliest GM and invited to sample some beers. I tried the wheat and the stout which were both excellent. They explained their preference for using locally sourced products to brew their beer and even make their t-shirts! Doc is the owner and his family all plays a part in the business. We did not get dinner, but plan to return in the morning before we hit the road for the promise of fresh brewed coffee and a great breakfast sandwich. read more

I've only had coffee here so far, and it was a pretty good cup. Its a really cool place and all of the locals really enjoy it. It is owned/operated by a well known local physician, Dr. Z. He has a larger family and I think most of his family help in one way or another with the business. I don't make it to Wolf Point very often, but when I do, I will try to make a stop at Doc Z''s. read more
