First of all, I have never written a review before so just that I am doing this says a lot about…read morehow great my experience was with this company! So on Thursday night of the long Easter weekend I'm driving down the QEW towards Hamilton when my car suddenly loses power and then starts emitting a horrible burning rubber smell. We turned off at the nearest exit and called CAA to dispatch a tow truck to us. We figured out pretty quickly that our car was dead and the repairs would be more than the car was worth, so what we needed was to find a car graveyard to get towed to. The challenge was I am not from Mississauga and don't know the area...also even if I did the probability of a car scrap yard being open at 9:00 on Thursday night before Easter Friday was very slim. So we were thinking we would have to store it at a service station over the weekend (if they would let us) then get another tow truck to tow us on Monday to a scrap yard - not only a pain but also expensive! Our tow truck driver, Dean (who is also the owner of the company) was absolutely amazing, we could not have had a better experience. Not only did he arrive much faster than we had expected, he was able to suggest a scrap yard to us close by. The scrap yard was closed but his wife works there so he was able to get in the gates so the car was in a secure lot over the weekend. We still had the small problem of getting to our destination. We had a ride on the way, but he was two hours away which would have got us home well after midnight. Dean asked us where we were heading and when we told him, offered to drive us all the way to Hamilton from Mississauga as he was heading that direction anyway. He drove us all the way and dropped us off close to a major intersection where there was a Tim Horton's so we could stay warm and it would be an easy location for our ride to find. All in all, what had started out to be a very bad beginning to the weekend ended up being almost no stress at all and was almost pleasant thank you to our fabulous tow truck driver. Thank you Dean!!

In the morning my car would not start in the -18 degree Celsius cold weather of the garage. I called CAA around 7:45am on Feb 1 2019 for a boost and charge to my battery. The person who showed up from CAA 30 minutes later did a battery check and said my battery had low voltage and would not start if he were to attempt a boost. He then offered to sell me a battery, but did not try to boost my battery or charge it at all. When asked why, he insisted that the battery would not start. He said I would have to tow my car out of the garage, and I would have to call CAA back to arrange a tow. I went home and went to sleep. At 3pm I tried to arrange a tow with CAA, but no one picked up the phone even after 50 minutes. So I used the app to schedule service, and had a tow guy call me 10 minutes before they were to arrive at 4:50pm to say I did not put the address in the app properly. He did not show up. I scheduled another service request and the app said I would get help at 5:40pm. I went to the hospital before 5:40pm and waited. No one showed up or called, and the app remained active. I finally called Edward from Central Towing Services, who was referred to me (by the only helpful Green P employee of the day) at 8:00pm and he came and boosted and charged my car with no issues, and I was able to drive it and leave it at a repair shop. The cost of his service was $150.00. He told me the boost and charge could have been done in the morning by the first guy CAA sent had he known what he was doing, because my car power windows and stereo worked before the boost. I didn't mind paying that amount because CAA was going to have to reimburse me with the receipt that I got from Edward. He came with a white Square Reader and everything.
