My husband had been admitted to the hospital twice in the past for medical emergencies -- he received only the best care from Dr. O and the San Ramon Medical Center and recovered both times. During one of the medical emergencies, at night and on a weekend, I called Dr. O's office, and he personally took the call himself -- most Dr's would have an answering service taking the calls! Not only did he advise me on all the proper steps to take for the next 24 hours, but I felt reassured as always that my husband was in excellent hands and in the hands of a caring doctor. We had to sadly switch health plans a year ago, as employers have made it so difficult to have private care. I cannot wait for changes to our employers health plans so we can return to Dr. O as our primary care provider. As for greeting us , on a normal basis he often would greet us with "Oh, you made it!" meaning "You were able to keep the appointment, I'm glad to see you!" Dr. Shinnaman is an excellent physician…read more I wasin excruciating pain because of my sciatica when I came to Dr. Shinnaman for treatment. I was stooped over, bending sideways to the right, moaning, grunting with each step that I took, and holding myself up with a cane. Dr. Shinnaman began with accupuncture. The first needle that he inserted into my back hurt so much that I almost screamed, but by the sixth needle, I was able to tolerate the pain. By the end of the day, my sciatica had significantly subsided. Dr. Shinnaman does not just push pills to manage my pain. Over the course of the next several weeks, he continued to treat me with accupuncture and injections. By the third time that I saw him, I was almost pain free. I'm able to sleep again, walk upright again, and I'm not grunting and moaning with excruciating pain with every step that I take. I'm still seeing Dr. Shinnaman to complete my course of treatment, but he's giving me my life back. I've been treated by another back physician, but his two rounds of injections had done nothing. Even one of the best neurosurgeon at UCSF said, "this is exactly what you need". Go see him if you are in pain and nothing seems to have worked.

While the staff may have initially appeared helpful, failing to honor a promised refund for this long is unacceptable. In the middle of the night I woke up with severe pain in my left leg. I went to Eisenhower ER…read more Turns out, I had a blood clot in my Popiteal Artery due to an aneurysm in my left leg. Dr Angle did a angioplasty to disolve the blood clot. I had no blood flow to my foot. The next day the blood clot was gone. Dr Angle proceeded to place a stent into my artery where the aneurysm was and restored blood flow to my leg and foot. If it wasn't for Dr Angle I could have lost my leg up to my knee. He continued to follow up with my condition for months after to check my pulse in my foot and the flow of blood to my leg and foot. Dr. Niren Angle is the best in his field. It has been about 10 years now and my leg is like it never happened. If you are ever fortunate to have him as your Doctor you are in very good hands. He is also a great guy and easy to talk to.
