This business is fantastic. they do a very good job. they are punctual and reliable and very friendly. I emailed them what I wanted, sent them photos, and they emailed me a quote. We set a date and time for them to come and pick up my sofa and arm chair. they delivered it all back on the date they said it would be done. When they came back they charged me MUCH less than their quote as honesty prevailed. Daniel the owner told me that the job was much easier than he predicted and he charged accordingly. Daniel and his staff are truley amazing a miracle workers!!! Read on and be amazed :) We just moved in with some new roommates (trust me I'll never do that again after my lease is up) and they contributed couches and a dog and catt, which also turned out to be a big surprise after signing the lease. Long story short, my dog along with the other dog decided to play games with the cat that hid behind our couch and somehow ended up ripping apart the top cushion. (See pic for the despair and destruction). I called around to several upholstery companies that others had recommended until I found Mission on Yelp. Thanks fellow yelpers for the help on this one! Every other company I called and sent the pictures too after about a week said they wanted $1000 and would probably need to re-upholster the whole couch. I originally called the shop and was quoted $180 plus labor. I thought this rate was crazy but said I would bring the couch down and have them take a look at it to get an actual quote. The gentlemen I spoke with on the phone was very polite and willing to help in anyway. So we ventrued down to Market Street. The guys took a look at it and came up with a great idea I had never thought of to help save me some cash. They were going to take the back pannel off which was not dammaged and fix the cushion and reattach it to the couch. The guys then proceeded to go upstairs and found a fabric that was the exact same color and a little different in texture but said they could cover the back of the couch. My mind was blown by this sheer brillance since this would solve my problem since the back of the couch would be against a wall anyways. My final estimated cost was $325 and some change. I could not believe my ears but was completely stoked I wasn't going to have to pay $1000 (since the room mates are stingy and weren't going to help share the costs anyways, again stupid cat!) ANother plus, if you are willing to pay cash, they offer discounts. I would recommend anyone to go get your furniture repaired or re-upholstered here. Daniel and his team are fabulous. I fell in love with a bed that only came in a western king, but my adjustable Tempurpedic mattresses were CA king, and the manufacture did not make a CA King. I found Mission Upholstery on Yelp and requested he make an exact copy of said bed. By the time he was finished, I could not tell a difference between the one made by Daniel and the manufacture. I've used Daniel and his team at Mission Upholstery to reupholster my storage ottoman 5 years ago and more recently they made custom cushions for our outdoor bench. Both products came out excellent! Our ottoman was originally made out of cheap bonded leather and began to flake after 4 years. Daniel helped us select better quality bonded leather, quoted us a reasonable price, and had the work done in less than 2 weeks. It's been 5 years, 2 moves, and 2 kids later and his handiwork is holding up! We also used him to create custom cushions using Sunbrella fabric and the cushions came out exactly as we had envisioned. I'm still on "Cloud Nine" sitting on the best decision I've made in years! After years of sagging into my huge living room sectional couch I needed to find a quality upholstery company to replace the foam cushions. I called around to at least 4 different places to get a ballpark price quotation. I then asked a coworker if she knew of anyone. She recommended Daniel at Mission Upholstery. I called and spoke to Daniel and he was very pleasant. I told him what I wanted and I gave him all the dimensions of the cushions. He was able to give me an approximate cost which was at least 15% to 20% less than all of the other quotes. I figured since Daniel was recommended and he gave the best quote I would bring the cushions to his shop on Market St near the 94. Daniel looked at the cushions then he showed me a few types & thicknesses of foam. I picked the ones I wanted and he recalculated the quote...lower. I picked up the cushions today only 5 days after I dropped them off and I was "Blown Away". They looked and felt fantastic. I placed them back on the couch and it was like I had a brand new Sectional but only better. I love this place! I worked with Daniel to get my great grandmother's dining room chairs reupholstered. They were a complete disaster from years in storage and not having been reupholstered since the '70's. I went to service my vehicle at Mission Upholstery because the back side panel's fabric was falling off. Pancho who worked on my vehicle had to pull out the car seat and pull the side panels out to replace fabric which they did a great job of matching and place it back professionaly. While he was working on my car I locked my keys in the trunk as I was cleaning it out. I have a BMW so the only way to get in is to pay close to 200 bucks to get a mobile guy to break in or get a key. The man who helped me spent considerable time trying to break into my trunk to recover my keys. In addition to this he mended a leather back of mine that had a broken strap. What i'm trying to say is the service is excellent!!! They are very reasonably priced, I got a 70% savings from not having it done at the BMW dealership. They really care about doing good work and will go over and beyond the call of duty to please you!! Great place check them out!! read more

I had ordered a basket weave patterned fabric from Crate and Barrel. I was searching for an Upholsterer. Because of the reviews, I choseto go in to Mission Upholstery. I went in with my fabric and showed Daniel drawings with measurement and photos of the two swivel charis and matching ottomans that I wanted reupholstered. I got to see at other pieces in progress (or completed) in the workroom. Daniel gave me a fair estimate. They may not be the cheapest, but they are the best! The pattern is matched everywhere---on the chairs, the ottomans, even the removable arm covers. Most of my furniture is Ethan Allen, so I am picky about my upholstery. I would not hesitate to use Mission for any upholstery job I have. Next time I need to look for fabric, I will go there as well. They have an extensive inventory and Daniel will give you a break on the price. If you want it done right, this is the place. read more
