First visit for my wife and I Wednesday 10/7. Confusing menu to start, but hostess came out from behind counter and stood with us to explain overhead menu and options. Robert brought our food, took time to explain the VETERANS VIP PROGRAM, and the BIRTHDAY CLUB. 6 sauces on the table, ask which was the hottest, and he went and got me 2 more, plus a mustard for my smoked sausage (exceptional). Robert checked on us a number of times, answered questions, and had me thinking newbies get the royal treatment, but I observed everyone there getting the same outstanding service. The food was great also, while the pulled pork was good on its own, I tried some with almost all of the sauces. Each added its own unique level of flavor. Thank-you Robert for making our first visit so memorable, we will be back soon. Oh, the brownie you brought us was fantastic. read more

Mission BBQ is a very good option when you're in town! Everything was delicious and smoked to perfection. I tried the ribs, pulled pork, and brisket. I personally like my meat cuts very moist, so I had to  add one of their many sauce choices. I also tried some sides, and the mac and cheese was one of the best I've ever had. The cornbread definitely stole the show on my plate, so moist, buttery, and full of corn flavor. The staff was very nice, took the time to explain the menu, and carefully prepared my food to go. I also loved the atmosphere and the decoration honoring our armed forces. So glad I stumbled upon this place. read more

The brisket was delicious and juicy and prices were fair. Ambience is a bit minimalist and service was average. One of the best options in the area though. Would definitely go back. read more

Typically a decent meal for the price - but not today. I order the 1/2 chicken. There was something wrong with the meat - decide not to eat a 2nd bite. Normally there is some level of firmness to the meat, that makes it cut able. Today it was all very mushy almost like mash potatoes - no firmness and almost paste like. Taking Mission BBQ off my list. read more

We absolutely love Mission Barbecue. The smell of the mouthwatering barbecue hits you even before you open the door. Yum yum yum!! And did I mention gluten-free friendly!!! Maybe I should have led with that . The meat, juicy and amazing. The best green beans of all the bbq joints in Lee County, hands down! Recommendation, drink that green beans juice, or should I say the green bean potlikker. Yumtastic!!! I'm telling, simply the best. Food was so good, the roll of paper towels at the table came in perfect handy. Booths are really big too, can fit everyone. There is also a variety of sauces on the table for all palates; it also makes it a great family spot with a sauce to feed every member. Kady was the best also!! Her recommendations rocked!!! And she was really attentive and sweet. Love us some mission BBQ. read more

My first lunch here today - I'm usually always getting a sandwich w salad- unfortunately this was ranch or ..... Italian - which only tasted like oil in a container- That's the only reason for the rating - more salad dressing options - My beans needed some love but would have chosen chicken instead of pork - just saying ( my partner picked the chicken ) IE I also like some sort of sugar in my bbq - I didn't eat the salad or sandwich - brought home for my dressings - read more

Just popped in for a late lunch and was blown away by the food and ambiance. From walking in and being greeted, to the easy order process with smiling attendants this was a great experience. I had the pulled pork with baked cheesy potatoes and water from the fountain (for free) and my wife had the brisket with fries and a soda (total bill $35). Everything was delicious and fresh, especially the fries. Can't wait to come back and try the ribs! Sorry no pics as the food looked sooooo good & we were hungry, maybe next time? If you're hungry this is definitely worth a stop as we were both stuffed. read more

After my first experience which wasn't great I have to come back on and say this place is great! From the food to the service.

It's unusual to find a restaurant that excels at food, service, and ambience. Mission BBQ is just that. We grabbed lunch here on a busy day, and it hit the spot. Honestly, one of the better food experiences I've had. The food truly did look like the pictures online, which nowadays is a big deal, and the staff was cheerful. Especially a lady named Trisha that went around clearing tables and ensuring that everyone had everything they needed to have a great meal. Have you ever eaten something that makes you stop talking? That was me halfway through the entrée. Absolutely delicious. This location felt perfect. Delicious food, staff who appear to enjoy their jobs, and a clean environment. I'm adding Mission BBQ on Pine Island Road to my list of places I frequently visit. read more

My wife and I stopped in for lunch on Sunday, 05/03/2026, with 2 of our adult grandchildren , and we enjoyed one of the best meals of our lives. Tricia was our hostess, and her treatment of all 4 of us was phenomenally amazing. She treated us like family, and like we were the only customers in the crowded restaurant. We heartily recommend Mission BBQ on Pine Island Road for everyone who loves a wide variety of BBQ cuisine in a very comfortable and friendly atmosphere. Thank you, once again, Tricia!! read more

Mission BBQ Cape Coral: Stopped by Mission BBQ today for the special they were running for all Veterans. This includes a free sandwich for any Veteran that served which my wife is but I am not. First off let me say I have maximum respect for all Veterans male and female. Thank you for your service. We got there right after they opened at 11 and the place was still empty. We walked up to the order counter and ordered my wife's sandwich, a pulled pork with coleslaw on top and I ordered the 1/2-yard bird which is 1/2 of chicken. Now I know they don't specialize in chicken as they do with beef or pork, but they have it on the menu and I thought I would try it. She ordered french fries and I ordered smash potatoes which were mashed for our sides. Our order was up quickly and when we sat to eat everything was there as it should be. Her pulled pork was hot and tasty and the french fry's we good. My 1/2 chicken did not look good as you can see by the pictures but once I cut into a leg it was very juicy. This chicken just fell apart and I pulled most of the bones right out of it. It was not dry as chicken can become, it was juicy. The rub used on the outside was a little spicy with some kick to it. I just could not get into the skin with that type of rub on it. I guess it's a matter of personal preference, but I would have preferred a BBQ type of rub. I believe it would have tasted better and looked a whole lot more pleasing. My side of smash potatoes was cold. I took them back to see what they would do. One of the employees immediately said to another to put a thermometer in the potatoes that were in the bin they served them from. I believe they scooped my potatoes out of the top without stirring them. It's just a rookie mistake as they just opened for the day. They checked them with a thermometer and stirred them then gave me another side of them and they were hot. Remember it's always the little things that separate good restaurants from great restaurants. I did have a piece of Jiffy bread that came with my meal, but it was very dry and did not seem fresh. I used a lot of soda to wash that down. All in all, it was not a bad experience but with a little effort it could have been better for a chain restaurant. I will give this place a 3 out of 5 thumbs up. See You At My Next Adventure Gulf Coast Terry read more

This was our first visit to the Cape Coral location. We've visited Mission BBQ in Ft. Myers and other places, so were already looking forward to some of our favorite things. We remain impressed with the positive energy from the staff, the super clean dining area, the message and mission of the restaurant and very good food that is budget friendly. Their Mission, to serve great BBQ while reminding everyone what makes our country great, it's heroes, always strikes a positive chord. Kudos to Mission BBQ for honoring our soldiers, firefighters, police officers and first responders. The Cape Coral location has a large ice cooler/tub with bottles of classic drinks that caught my attention right away. They also have fountain drinks like other locations. We both choose a bottle of root beer along with a pulled pork sandwich, baked beans and cornbread. The pulled pork was piled high and tasted great and the cornbread never disappoints. We're fans. read more

Pretty awesome for a quicker BBQ place! The brisket was delicious, Mac and cheese was pretty good and the BBQ beans were awesome! We also enjoyed the jalapeño cheese sausage. The only negatives to our meal was the pulled pork tasting like it came straight out of a preheat bag, not sure if that's really the case but it was dull and bland, tough and it just wasn't good. The coleslaw also had like absolutely zero flavor but other than that, the other stuff was very good and we would return for the brisket and BBQ beans again! It is disappointing they don't have any sort of toast to go with their meals or even to buy on the side, the cornbread was really dry and some of our group got really nice big thick slices of it and others of us got these super small overly crunchy corner pieces. read more

Great bbq place with very tasty food and great wait staff. We did take out and also ate in house. While eating in the restaurant they brought over some of their dishes to sample. When we tried to purchase one of their desserts after ordering and eating our meal, they would not let us pay. On the house. Love also their support of law enforcement and first responders. Walls are covered with memorabilia and patches from different agencies. While there, they were offering special drink cups and the proceeds went to first responders. Unfortunately we do not have one of these in our state; if so, I know we'd be frequent patrons. read more

WOW! Can I just say wow for a moment. Coming from the Chicagoland area where we brag about being the "food king capitol," we sorely miss the mark when it comes to BBQ. Cause let's face it, it's a southern thang' !!! This place is truly unbelievable. Love how they represent first responders and support them at all of their establishments! Just step one foot inside any location and you will see for yourself. The food is spectacular! They have an epic menu- if you want amazing, mouthwatering BBQ look no further!! I had the pulled pork plate with the cheesy potatoes and nanner' puddin. (short for banana pudding y'all) LOL. Generous portions of meat with a plethora of sauces to choose from at your table. The servers here are super friendly- love that it's close by to where I'm at as I will be a regular! read more

Our first visit to a Mission BBQ and from the moment we entered the door it was an amazing experience! The young man at the register actually took his time and explained the menu and various options. He did from the customer side of the counter! What a small, but memorable and effective difference. Then we metTricia in the dining room. What a beautiful person and she really put the icing on this experience. Not only did she take a minute to get to know us, she told the amazing story behind the restaurant itself. Truly an asset. Now for the food...I cannot give enough about the food! Absolutely delicious and I feel like I should've paid more than I did for what I got! I had the jalapeño sausage and my partner had the chicken. We both had mac-n-cheese...by far the best around! We are no strangers to Mac-n-cheese and this beats them all! We also dessert...1 caramel apple and 1 banana pudding. Out of this world!!! This may have been our first visit, but it surely won't be the last! read more

Pretty good spot. I've tried their food at work during some catered events and enjoyed the pulled pork. Finally got around to trying the actual location out. Location is a cafeteria style ordering type of thing. You place your order sit yourself and wait for your name to be called to get the food tray. We tried the pulled pork, brisket and half rack of baby back ribs. We added mac and cheese and fries as sides. The pulled pork and the brisket were both on point. Juicy and full Of flavor. Ribs were ok, i would say rib city has better ribs for sure. These were a bit tough far from fall off the bone. Sides were all good. read more

Boss man JD! Thank you for visiting with us and making this our home. JD, you're a fantastic, authentic person. (We see you doing table touches too!) You have an exceptional staff! Bradyn, Carter, Lola, ya'll have a great deal of patience to deal with the public changing their minds, long lines of hangry people they way you do...style, poise, and friendliness. Thumbs up to you three! Ivory, you are a deep, kind, giving guy that knows how to throw down in the kitchen! Love you man! Kady and Angie: you two are beautiful people! Both of you engage tables, listen to their issues, needs, and stories. You keep a tidy dining room. We love how kind and cheerful you are. We feel better leaving there than when we arrived... and yes, the food is great! However, when the staff (to include your entire team JD) let us know; we are why they are there, the experience is better than any competitor. JD, this really all on you. You train, coach, and hold that high standard. There's no doubt you are destine to be a district or regional manager in no time. We support you and will always be in your back pocket! First time trying them, we got a variety of meats, beef brisket, sausage, baby back ribs, also got the green beans, Mac & cheese, baked beans & potatoe salad, I would not get the potatoe salad again, wasn't that good. I went out for a quick dinner the other night and remembered that Mission BBQ has a fairly new location just down Pine Island Rd. When I walked in I was greeted by the staff at the register. I ordered the brisket with coleslaw and an ice tea. I only had to wait about five minutes for my name to be called to pickup my delicious dinner. The brisket had great smoky flavor. It was tender and juicy. There are six different sauces on the table to accompany the meat. The coleslaw was also great. Staff members were walking around giving out samples of the pulled chicken and turkey to customers. Drink refills were also offered. Overall fantastic service. There were many families at Mission that evening enjoying the food. Nice place to get your BBQ fix. read more

You really can't go wrong with anything at Mission BBQ! The brisket is amazing, as is the pulled pork (get it NC style with cole slaw!) and the turkey. Excellent service, excellent food, and a casual ambiance make this place a win. The only downside is that it is a big pricey to eat at regularly. read more

We have never heard of this restaurant, not being from the area. We were impressed with the selections we made. I had a chopped brisket sandwich with a side of bbq beans and hubby got pulled chicken sandwich with a side of fries. Also came with a drink ( we opted for unsweetened ice tea ) that you pour yourself at the drink station. It was a bit confusing finding straws and lids in the snap-on tool chest! The chopped brisket came already sauced, the chicken didn't but hubby said it was well seasoned. There were bottles of sauce on the table. The restaurant has a first responders/ 9-11 theme to it with 9-11 memorabilia on the walls. Definitely made you think back and appreciate all they had done during those dark days. Apparently they all stand up at 12:00 pm. We were not there for that, but just putting it out there. I chatted with a woman working there who is actually from Florida! ( first one ! ) She was kind enough to give us a complimentary dessert and two coupons for free sandwiches. Hubby passed the coupons on to a man that looked like he would appreciate them. We were not going to be able to use them, as we were leaving the area. read more
