This gas station recently changed ownership. I have nothing against this gas station or the prices or the quality of gas... But went and put $60 of gas into pump number 10 to fill up it took me over 12 minutes to fill $30 worth of gas. I'm not sure if that pump was just slow but don't use pump #10 read more

I called the day before to make a appointment for a oil change and smog. Was told by the mechanic they no longer make appointments that as management had changed. Now it's a first come first service basis. They recommended arriving about 9 am because there usually isn't a wait. So, I arrived at 9 am. There was one customer ahead of me. The wait estimated was acceptable and spot on. Then it was my turn. My oil change took over two hours as they didn't have the correct filter in stock. They didn't tell me they needed to call someplace to have it delivered. If I had known that prior, I could have stopped at Autozone or Pepboys to bring my own! At least there is a shady spot under a tree in their parking lot to wait. I suggest you bring your own folding chair as there is only one spot to sit. The manager & the mechanic are very nice guys. The three stars is partially because of the long wait for parts, but mainly because the mechanic forgot to put the plug back in the oil pan! After the oil change, I returned home. Didn't notice a problem until leaving work the following afternoon. That's when I saw a large puddle of oil underneath my truck. Worried, I called my husband to ask what to do? He came to check it out (I have almost zero auto knowledge). He opened the hood and found oil splattered everywhere in the engine compartment. Boy, was he hopping mad! He took the truck back to the same 76 station for me and had it fixed. Honestly, I am not certain if I will return here. The staff was great during my wait for parts, and I did feel they were honest & knowledgeable about why my truck was not going to pass smog. They were definitely NOT pushy about fixing what would probably be an expensive fix for the truck to pass smog, which I greatly appreciated! read more

Place is the biggest rip off for gas. Has no morales or values for this. I asked a gas attendant why so much when the place across the street is nearly a dollar less he remarked "it's because we are right off the freeway and if you are in a hurry you have no other choice than to pay the piper...." I think it's also missed up that you can't do a legal U-turn to get to the 7/11 across from them to get bareable gas prices. These guys are opportunist and some sickos for doing this. I love this gas station. Can one really love a gas station? Ok, maybe not. But it is super convenient, especially if you plan on jumping onto the 5N or 5S after fueling. If you go to the 7-11 right across the street, not only do you pay (slightly) more, but you then have do some weird loops and U-turns to get onto the 5. Plus it is never busy. I have an old 1983 Toyota truck in pristine condition. But the last 3 times smogging it I was notified it failed. The first time I took it to a shop they "tuned it" to get it to pass. It barely passed. 2 years later it wouldn't pass. I used the CAP program and got a referral. The place I took it too got it to pass, barely. The milked the CAP program for every last dollar and based upon what I could determine, they were just throwing parts at the truck trying, hoping it would fix it but having no clue. The last time it failed and qualified for the CAP program one last time. I called every place on the list and no one wanted to deal w/ a carb. Are you kidding me? They are CAP establishments? Then I saw Mission Bay Union 76. I was leary, always thought about service stations in conjunction w/ fueling stops where you hear about them ripping people off etc. They had the truck 5 days. It was a long time it seemed but you know what, they went through every system and diagnosed everything. They found that it was an air control valve that cost $400. They wanted to make sure that was indeed the issue before ordering it. It fixed it and the truck ran so much better, not just barely passing but very close to the MIN levels in all areas. It has more power and the fuel economy went up 4 mpg in town. Don't go to places that just want it to pass.....it's not worth it. read more

I took my car there for smog repairs. It cost $214 for diagnostics (you could probably have brain cancer diagnosed for less) and an additional $348 for replacing the catalytic converter. They had the smog test report, and seems to me a catalytic converter would be one of the first places they'd look. When the job was done, they said the garage closes at 6 p.m., but I could pick it up any time until 10 p.m. from the cashier. I came that evening at 9:40 p.m. and the cashier said he had already closed the cash register and was closing up and couldn't give me the car. I could accept this if it were 9:55 or even 9:50 p.m., but to come 20 minutes before closing and have them tell you they're closed and won't give you the car, makes you want to strangle somebody. If you don't mind getting ripped off then this your place to go. If you don't mind paying for parts you don't need this is the place to go. If you don't mind paying labor costs for work that is not needed then this is your place to go. If you don't mind too waist your time and your money than this is your kind of place. Trust me this business needs to be put out of business. The BBB should but this station on the bottom of their list of the places to stay away from. 76 Should investigate franchised business and close it down. The DMV needs to take away their licence and permits to do any inspections for the Ca. DMV. The mechanics and the management are liars and cheats. Need I say more! I've actually never gotten gasoline here, but I've noticed the prices here are much much higher than anywhere else in the county. It's currently $4.99 when gas everywhere else is $3.75. I'm surprised by the price gouging, considering the location is actually not that great during rush hour and it's impossible to get in and out of the place. read more

Please avoid going to this place for any type of work. They will over charge and they are dishonest. When I took my car in for simple break and light inspection, they told me that I need few things fixed. If they do it for close to $500 then I don't pay re-inspection fee. I decided to do it myself. It only cost me less than $200. He wanted to charge me $43 for re-inspection but since it was a simple fix, he agreed to do it for $23. So when I tool my car back, he charged me $43 for 2 minutes of work and made me wait for one hour. When I asked what happened to our agreement, he said that he doesn't remember that and I miss-understood him. When he told me $23, I told him, please write it down and he said, I don't forget. Don't worry. They charge too much and they are not honest. You are better off taking your car some place else. read more

I drop my old car off (really old car), because it did not pass smog, on a Tuesday afternoon. I was told that I would have it back by Friday which is when I need to go to work. I was also told they would call me and let me know everything they were going to do. I never hear from them, so I call them on Thursday. The call was dropped after the individual saying, hang tight I'll check. They never called me back, so I called again and no answer. I get ahold of them Friday morning to find out THEY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO OPEN MY HOOD!!!!! Not only was this group of mechanics unable to do what so many others had.... they never called me to let me know. Of course they claimed they tried to call me, but they never left a message. The guy claims that my Verizon cell phone just kept ringing and ringing, but no voice mail. What a pathetic excuse for a f*&# -up. He went on to gripe about how ungrateful all their customers are and how people claim that they break things that he believes were already broken. This PRO impressed me so much I told him not to bother opening the hood. Save yourself the headache. These guys are clueless when it comes to customer service. read more

This is my second Yelp review.......... I want to thank Jose D., the mechanic who worked on my car today for going the extra mile. Muchas Gracias! Warning this is a long story. Two years ago a lost the key to my wheel locks and had not been able to replace it. I finally decide it was time to do something about it and went to Mossy Toyota since the car is a 2001 Toyota Sequoia. They of course said no problem and had me buy a whole new set of wheel locks, but once I went to customer service and the mechanic looked at them, they were not willing to touch them. I was referred to Discount Tires down the street. After 10 minutes at Discount Tire, I got the same story, "Sorry we can't help you" so they referred me to Dualtone. At Dualtone, the mechanic quickly came out and looked at the locks and told me to go next door to Mission Bay Union 76 and ask for Jose and he would do it. I drove over and waited 5 minutes for Jose to finish a job and explained my situation. Jose looked over the job and said he could do it, but would need to grind down his tool to get it over the lug nut in the rim. This of course was the reason the other mechanics were not able or unwilling to take the job. Jose totally went the extra mile and grind down his socket, was able to fit it over the lug nut, and took it off. Excellent customer service! read more

I had an emergency battery problem with my car, so I drove in here, because I saw they were open. Turns out, the mechanics were actually off the clock and had been closed for 20 minutes. However, they kindly offered to charge my battery for an hour, and then José checked it for free. He told me I had a bad battery and told me I should go get a free replacement with my warranty from the place I had purchased it. He didn't try to sell me anything or take advantage of my situation. This place is down right the worst gas station in the PB area! I pulled up to get gas and started pumping, I got to about $1.23 when I realized they were literally $1.25 more than the 7/11 across the street. I asked some older gentleman that was working in the garage part why their fuel was a $1.25 more than the 7/11 and he mumbled "go over there" waiving his arm as if pointing me in the 7/11 direction. I asked him can he repeat and he just walked away. It's obvious the owner of this store is in bed with the oil companies whom have been ripping us all off for the past 10yrs with ridiculous prices while they bring in billions in never before seen profits. His gas is the same gas that is delivered at the 7/11 so he can't use the excuse we have better fuel. Only Mobile, Shell, Chevron use different fuels because those companies are the ones drilling it out of the ground. It's sad when one of our fellow American neighbors are only out to line their pockets while paying their cashier minimum wage. I understand being in business to make a profit but not down right crippling the middle class. I took my truck there with a2 symptoms. One was a leaking radiator and freeze plug. The other was my oil pressure light was showing that there was no pressure. The person who I dealt with was Rudy Sierra. They replaced 3 freeze plugs and installed a new radiator. I asked Rudy about my oil pressure and he said it was probably low because the engine was hot. I asked him if he had my oil pressure tested and he said no the gauge was working. The very next day my wife was driving the truck and the oil pressure gauge bottomed out on the freeway and my engine started chattering real bad. She tried to get over and the engine ceased up before she could make it to the emergency lane. I called this place and asked for the manager to call me and he did not! I sent 4 emails requesting they contact me and I had to call them and finally got the mngr on the phone. Even though they have the piece of paper I wrote the issues down on and they admit not properly testing my oil pressure as I asked them to, they will not accept responsibility. This is my only means of transportation. These people really do not care that they SCREWED UP! So, I will take my FIGHT to Agora Northwest Dealer Co. The owners of the station! read more
