My sister and I have been talking for awhile about getting matching tattoos and I finally took the plunge after reading a ton of reviews for various local places. I emailed the team here and they got back to me quickly. I sent them a mock up of the image I wanted to work with so they had an idea, as well as, the location I preferred. When I arrived, the artist was able to do a transfer for me and we opted to move the placement a little bit higher up my wrist as I have a dominate tendon that could have been more painful and made it look odd with the movements. I liked that she advised me on her logic and why she thought it was best to move it up about an inch. The tattoo took about 30 minutes and was wrapped up nicely. The place was very clean and everyone was very professional. It healed up nicely and still looks great. I get a lot of compliments on it. This last weekend my daughter visited from out of state. Part of her trip was a return to Miss Heidi's for some work. It was her fifth visit. It was the first time I went with her. Everyone went out of their way to make sure I was just a comfortable and felt just as welcome ( as a parent/ observer) as my daughter did as the client. Jimmy is my new favorite tattoo artist in town! My cousin and I consulted with him about our idea and he immediately had his own creative vision. He isn't the type of artist that will only use a google image to make a stencil with, he's an actual artist who uses his creativity and works with you to find the perfect piece. We watched him use a digital drawing tool on our piece and it showed his skill and experience level. During our session he kept us so entertained we didn't even realize 3 hours had passed- he really knows how to make conversation and make you laugh. I got my tongue pierced by Pam a few months ago and it was truly a great experience. I was nervous and shaky but she calmed me down. I barely felt it and it was so fast. Healing was a breeze other than the soft foods for a few days. I'll come back to her for a piercing for sure. Just this weekend, I got a tattoo by Nate and it was an AMAZING experience. Again, I was super nervous (I've been tatted a lot before but it has been years since I get another one). He was so cool. He told me stories while he tatted me up and I literally didn't even feel it. I had an amazing experience here. I even planned on going somewhere at first- but the piercer from the other place was weird and rude on the phone. I asked the piercer from the other place basic questions like how long she had been piercing because I was really nervous and she acted so offended and rude. I called here and the receptionist was SO POLITE and kind and happily answered all of my questions about the piercer which really put me at ease. Because of the pleasant experience on the phone I decided to come here because they seemed really professional. The place itself is very clean and inviting. Very professional all around. The piercer, "Sea" or Pam was freaking amazing. She has been piercing for 12 years, according to the receptionist, and you can tell she takes her profession very seriously. She took her time to get the dots for where the piercing would go and even measured to make sure everything was symmetrical and perfectly placed. She checked with me first and asked if I wanted her to explain every step of the process or if I preferred if she just told me when it was time to pierce. She knew I was nervous and asked if her talking about my life and hobbies were okay or if that would make me more nervous. She was so considerate I was honestly in shock. She knew that the piercing I was getting was very painful and asked if I had eaten that day, if I got dizzy or fainted easily, etc just to make sure I would be good and brought a soda and chocolate into the room in case I felt woozy (which I needed because I almost passed out which had nothing to do with her it was just a painful piercing). When I felt sick she immediately gave me the soda and told me to take as much time as I needed, reassured me, and made me feel very comfortable instead of embarrassed. She asked if I'd like to get the second one done and if not that it was okay and that it happened all the time. When I was ready she did the other one and made sure to check on me to ensure that I did not feel lightheaded again. She explained all of the after care and even gave me Q tips to take home to clean it. She was so nice and polite and I honestly don't think I can ever go anywhere else again. After that great experience, there is no going back. Let me just say, friends, that you truly get what you pay for. The piercings that I got were a bit more expensive here than the other places that I looked, but god was it worth it. 10/10 recommend. Thank you so much. read more

Yesterday I walked in to get a consultation for one tattoo - Miss Heidi is very nice and professional. She made me feel very good about why I was there. The following day I returned for my tattoo. I decided to get an easier tattoo as my first. My artist was Nate, he was great. Very nice and chill, he appreciated my design and made me feel not self conscious about what I was getting. As for the tattoo itself it probably took about 10 minutes or so, very fast. Though I had to take a few second breaks. Certain areas hurt more than others. But he did it, and made me feel like a badass. Made sure I had chocolate and sugar to stay conscious. I definitely will be returning here for more tattoos - as soon as this one heals. With all my previous reviews, it is rare that I give a business a 1 or 5-star review. However, Miss Heidi's has earned their 5 stars. Often when I walk into a new studio I feel uncomfortable, and it takes a while for me to feel at ease (mostly due to anxiety). This wasn't the case when I first walked into Heidi's. I was greeted warmly, and immediately felt at ease. During that first 30 minute visit the staff worked with me so that they could understand the basic concept of what I was wanting. They took the time to listen to me, and I never felt rushed. Towards the end of this visit when we were looking to schedule something, I realized Heidi is usually booked out in advance. This posed a problem as I was only in town for two weeks. After learning the significance of the tattoo, Heidi took the time to fit me into her busy schedule. Unfortunately, due to circumstances outside of the shops control, Heidi wound up not being able to do my piece. The process did not stop here, though. She went over and beyond to make sure I got the piece completed while I was in town, bringing in an artist from another shop. Jayvo Scott drove an hour up to Orlando to help Heidi out and to finish my piece. So, long story short, while Heidi and her staff are amazing artists, they are also the most generous and caring artists I have ever met! Considering my entire experience, I plan on using Heidi's studio for all my future pieces. read more

Although my initial experience here was pretty good, I feel the need to update based on my second not so good experience. I went in a few months after getting my nose pierced to see if it had healed up enough to change the stud for a ring. The stud was really long and it was driving my crazy! I saw Fain again and she said it looked like we could do it. She gave me a couple of ring options and we went from there. Taking the stud out hurt so bad. It got stuck half way out and it felt like she was going to rip my nose off! After we finally got the stud out, she went to put in the ring and it hurt even worse. I just let her do her thing and sucked it up, figuring the pain would subside and everything would be fine. Fast forward to three weeks later and my nose had a huge bump on it, I was still in pain, and felt like I had an infection. Luckily for me I had to make an emergency trip up to Michigan for my family and was able to go see my regular piercer up there. My regular piercer from Michigan said that first of all the piercing was changed way too soon, the ring was too tight, and I would need to basically start the healing process all over again. He even had to cut the ring off of my nose because it was so swollen and infected. Luckily for me, he painlessly changed the piercing to a stud and gave me some cleaning spray. Fast forward a month past that and my piercing is completely healed up! Thank god I have friends that know what they're doing at other shops. Word of advice, stay away from Miss Heidi's for piercings. read more

I took my 10 year old daughter here after having a terrible experience at Claire's, where one of her ears kept getting infected no matter what I did. From the sketches, to the day of and final product, my experience at Miss Heidi's was great! All of the staff was very friendly and our artist Bob was outstanding. After some careful searching, I chose Todd at Miss Heidi's to do my third tattoo. I'd been thinking about it on and off for the last year and a half and decided to take the plunge in January. I went to the shop to check it out on a Friday night and found it immaculately clean and organized. As a healthcare professional, this was as important to me as the quality of the artwork. I made the appointment for Sunday and was asked to put down a $20 deposit to secure my spot, which would go toward the cost of the tattoo. On the day of the appointment, I chatted with Todd for awhile before he free-handed my soon-to-be new ink. His strong suit is gray and black shading, which was one of the reasons I chose him. He explained to me that, because it was on my foot, the tattoo would fade but touch-ups are included in the price. Nice! True to his word, it ended up fading pretty significantly, but he answered all my questions when I called the shop. I returned today to have it worked on again and I'm happier than I was when I left after the first session. The shop was still sparkling clean and everyone working was nice and complementary of Todd's work. One thing of note... I'm a pretty conservative looking gal, but I love tattoos. That being said, this was the first shop I've been to where I didn't feel "un-hip" when talking to the different artists and piercer at the shop. It's the intangible things like that that keep me coming back to a business, and I'll happily recommend anyone interested in a tattoo or piercing to Miss Heidi's. read more

I only waited 15 minutes (while she sterilized the stud). I've had my piercing for 4 months now and didn't have any problems or infections. I'd been wanting to get my nose and tragus pierced for a while but my dilemma was finding a Tattoo shop that was clean and one I could trust. I researched Tattoo shops all around Orlando and I happily stumbled upon Miss Heidi's, I went online to check they Piercers hours (Fain has certain days and hours) and decided to go on a Friday around 4pm. I arrived and they had me fill out the typical form with emergency contact and making sure I understood the risks etc. Fain introduced herself and showed me the various options for my piercings that day, after I waited around 3-4 minutes for Fain to set up for my piercings and then she brought me back (Only one person can sit inside with you). She talked me through the piercings I wanted, went in depth about my anatomy and what size jewelry would look best and explained everything very thoroughly. She was exceptionally clean (washed her hands and changed gloves multiple times, opened sterilized equipment in front of me) kept me calm throughout the process, and talked me through caring for the piercings while they healed. Each piercing was $35 each. Overall I would recommend Fain at Miss Heidi's for any of your piercings. read more
