I am not quite sure what the difference between homey Turkish food and what is not. I am going to…read moreassume homey entails more focus on the food and ingredients rather than the presentation and other things. One glance at this place and it certainly looks homey if not rather like a one pot, buffet, fast food kind of style. There was counter full of prepared food in the back and you can pick and choose your meal from thy selection. No there's nothing created here a la minute but the price kind of reflects that. While I can't comment on the authenticity of the food, I can say without a doubt it is tasty...for the most part. Everything does indeed taste "homey" as every dish is sort of a mis-mash of different vegetables and meats in a consistent sauce. By that I mean most of the dishes have similar sauces a tastes quite similar despite it having different ingredients. The rice is a nicely prepared with fantastic texture and just the right amount of squeakiness to them all the while still soft and pillowy. The chicken is sightly dry but very nicely compensated with the great sauce that it's bathed in. Sadly this meal wasn't quite as memorable as I had hope for. Unlike the Turkish cuisines I have had in the past there wasn't one or more dishes I would recommend of you must order. Everything tastes good -- like a every day good kind of meal mom used to prepare.

You are supposed to order the food at their counter, and bring it to your table yourself. But 1-2-3 the staff have brought your food. You can choose between 5 main dishes 2 with lamb, 2 with beef and 1 vegen. Go here if you want a quick but good meal, and you do want a bit more than a döner. Do not expect to sit here for hours. Finish with some tea.

    Zweistrom - Vegan Falafel Wrap

The falafels were fried to order, which I appreciate. After the falafels were ready, the gentleman working put them in a wrap and then went to the bar of vegetables and toppings in front of me. He added hummus, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, and I think a spicy mustard. After he finished stuffing the wrap, he rolled it up and placed it on a grill press for a few minutes. My falafel wrap was delicious and full of flavors and textures! Starting with crunchy! It had a big crunch from the grilled wrap. Then I got the added crunch from the falafel. It was then followed by the smooth and savory hummus. The vegetables were a perfect addition. Extra: Vegan options Open late - 3 am! A few seats inside Outdoor seating available It was authentic, inexpensive, fresh, fast, and they were open late! My falafel wrap was the best late night snack that didn't make me feel guilty or bloated the next day. Also, the service was good too! The gentleman working was kind and had great energy. We chatted for a little, it was really nice. I wish him the best of luck. If you're in the area, I highly suggest stopping by. Located just off a side street near the city centre, it has a simple, no-frills exterior with bold signage of mouthwatering items (from the eponymous doner kebab to extravagant meal deals) and a laid-back street-food vibe that draws you in. Inside, the space is straightforward and casual, with bright lighting and functional seating where people come for great doner at all hours of the day; there's limited seating, though it's next to plenty of other food stall options with more space. After a late and diverted flight, our group of eight girls was starving for any sort of food, and this was one of the only options in the wee hours of the morning. At 2am on a Saturday, the space was half-full with no line, and it was easy to order (they spoke both English and German). Everything on the menu falls between €5-15, from small snack items to large meal deals. There's plenty of options for different dietary needs, with a variety of protein options, and customizable toppings of fresh vegetables, sauces, and toppings. I ordered a Beef Doner Kebab (€8), which was a huge portion of flavorful shaved beef in a pillowy seeded bread, piled high with crunchy cabbage slaw, tangy beet salad, crunchy onions, creamy feta, and slathered in a rich, spicy sauce. This was an incredibly large portion for the price, and I loved how I could choose unlimited toppings for no added price. I will say that they were out of chicken at that hour, though I won't blame them, as it was late. Döner Inn is excellent value for generous portions in a city where fast, hearty meals are a Berlin staple. I would certainly recommend this as an option for anyone; it's energetic, informal, and perfect for a satisfying bite on the go or a hearty meal after exploring the city.

Oh wow, Berlin is know for its an international city filled with immigrants, amazing architecture,…read moreunbelievable history, delish chocolates, but one hidden secret is their amazing Turkish food. It's at times better than Istanbul. It's a very much hole in the wall and I didn't expect much because it had small reviews. Let me say, this is probably one of the tastiest and juiciest restaurants in Berlin right now. Once you enter in, a tall lanky man makes eye contact but doesn't speak a word. The service was always great and the food arrived on time. Every time you ordered he would just nod his head and the food would arrive. Let's start with the basics, the hummus was silky drenched in smooth olive oil with fresh chickpeas on top. It's so fresh that it would melt in your mouth. That combination with the fresh soft crisp bread is heaven. Service was impeccable. Food was grilled fresh from the start and we had the juiciest of kabobs. Your taste buds will go on over drive! Oh my god, we got the Ali Nazek plate. Without a doubt one of the best kabob dishes on the western hemisphere. It's minced Lamb meat,on top of olive oil, yogurt and garlic. At first I said, what a strange combination, But oh my god what a delish combination. The food, the fresh made bread, the hummus all melted in our mouth. The freshness of the ingredient is unparalleled here. My partner ordered the pilic sis kabop which are delightful lite chicken cubes which complemented the lamb. For desert, some nice Turkish tea and coffee with a thin crispy wafered Baklava. This might be your new favorite Turkish addiction in town!!
