We were looking for a Mexican restaurant on our way to Golden Nugget. I stumbled across this…read morerestaurant because of the ratings. Then because of the pictures! For such a small town to have a 4 1/2 star rating had to mean something! So glad we stopped! This will now be our go-to if in need of a meal!! We walked in and were seated immediately. It is a very long restaurant with a lot of windows! The waitress came right away for drink orders and chips and salsa. I like how each person gets their own bowl! That way you can season however you please. My husband adds a lot of salt and I do not. We got the cheese dip and had the option of white or yellow. Yellow for the hubby. It was hot and delicious and went great with the pickled jalapenos! I decided on a summer plate. I like this option because you get a little bit of everything!! Taco, chalupa, and queso chip with guacamole! My husband had the chicken enchiladas with enchilada sauce topped with fresh onions. It was a ton of food! I love when the rice has corn and carrots in it! The beans were really delicious, too! My BIL got the chimichanga and ate the entire thing!! It was packed full of grilled chicken and cheese! It looked amazing!! All in all, I would def recommend this place if you're looking for some good Mexican food!! Tons of options, big portions, and great customer service!! Great job guys!!

I must admit, pulling up to Agave I had my doubts. The ol' saying never judge a book by the cover…read morecomes in play here. It looks like the building was once one of those old school long n skinny motels. But once you walk in you will see the amazing job they did to create this restaurant. The decor is fun, colorful and lively. Reminds me of a real local place in a small town in Mexico. Super friendly staff will seat and greet you. The menu is huge. Took a minute to decide with such a variety of dishes. I opted for the Agave "Cancun" platter which was shrimp, grilled fish, topped with a white cream sauce and crawfish. Moy delicioso!! Really good. We nibbled on their very yummy queso and chips. It was a busy Sunday morning and the after Church crowd filled the place. Was thinking it might take a while for the food to be served. Wrong! We had not even finished the queso and our food arrived piping hot! Our new go to place for TexMex in Cleveland!! Our server was super friendly and efficient. Highly recommend Agave!!

I found this on a Tuesday in the middle of May as I had an assignment in the Cleveland/Sheppard area of Texas. Many of you know that Taco Tuesdays are my thing. Finding taco spots in small towns are a challenge but fortunately this truck was available across from the gas station on 23 County Road. It's your standard taco truck serving tortas, tostados, burritos, gorditas, quesadillas, sopes, burgers & hot dogs. About 8 protein options are available, cash only (or Zelle/cash app), and mainly en espanol (although they speak some english). I did an order of tacos (Fajita, Barbacoa, Lengua, Buche), a chicharron gordita, and some quesadillas (regular sized tripa; small barbabcoa). They also give you a complimentary charo beans that you can eat while you wait. The beans smell amazing that are piping hot with some meat drippings mixed in. Good way to start the meal. Upon receiving your food, you can either eat at their picnic tables or take it to go. I brought it back to my hotel room and unpacked; fortunately everything kept well with no spillage or messings like some places. The tacos are good size with the lengua and fajita being my favorite. The buche is a unique protein, basically pig's stomach so there's a chewy texture so may not be for everyone; I'm glad I tried it. The gordita was excellent; very filling with meat, beans, and cheese packed in; loved every bite of it. The quesadillas are also delicious with the tripa being crunchy and barbacoa being tender and succulent. Every item was straight up fire from here. If you find yourself in Cleveland, be sure to stop at this truck and check it out. Hours are 5-11PM Monday-Friday. And don't forget cash!
