We had interesting conversation with them, as well. The bar was clearly friendly to foreigners, but still had a nice local feel. There's 5 beers on tap. Drinks are cheap. We didn't spend much money at all, and we even tipped generously. (some restaurants and elsewhere don't expect or care to be tipped. I found at bars they're pretty open to it.) So on our first night, we checked the time and it was suddenly 3:30am. Oops. So much for waking up early the next day. Second night, we went back. It was so much fun the night before that we had to. We meant to just drop in for a drink or two and leave early. We ended up chatting with a local restaurant owner for hours about Italian life and the business, tourists, etc... suddenly it's 2:30am and we're rolling out the door.
