Spa Pajaro Dunes is NOT at Pajaro Dunes as one would expect. It is located in a tiny strip shopping center in Watsonville with no sign that I saw except the Bella Salon. I used the bathroom before the treatment and it seemed a bit messy to me; kind of like a storage room/combination bathroom. The treatment room just did not look clean. The rugs literally looked like they had not been shaken in months! I have been in more than a few esthetician offices and this is by far the most dirty and cluttered. The treatment seemed okay but the room was so hot and stuffy; very suffocating with little ventilation.

We paid about $400, I'm estimating here, for 2 people to experience an hour massage and time in their hot tub room. We never felt rushed, even though we came on labor day weekend, so that was really nice. I agree with a lot of the reviews that say the hot tub has some wear and tear, it does, but we were still very comfortable and happy. I loved looked into the gardens and appreciated that there weren't mosquitos in our room. I did fear that as someone who attracts them like flies to honey. I'm happy to report no bites reported! We both enjoyed our massages. I don't know if this matters to you, but all massages are in single rooms. I had a wonderful massage and was so bummed when it was over!! We both had great massages. The tub was worn down so you can see the stains, however, it was clean. It may be off putting for some ppl, just fyi. It was very quiet and peaceful with a lovely view. The sauna was also a nice touch. Wish there was a cold plunge, but we used the shower instead for a cold rinse. I have an anxious mind and it's very hard for me to relax, I didn't achieve it here, but was able to calm my nerves just a bit. My bf loved it and was fully able to zen out and enjoyed the sauna. The teas were nice pairing. Afterwards we had our massages. The masseuses looked like students, but overall they did a nice job, not the best, but it was calming. Unsure if they are certified. We have had various massages & I have my go to. These ones were just okay. My masseuse was kind and made sure the pressure was okay for me. I didn't get a hot towel afterwards to wipe the oil/lotion off so I was left sticky when we went out for dinner in DT SC. I think because of social media I was itching to try this place. A bit on the pricier side for the quality, however, more affordable compared to other Bay Area places. Staff were nice, street parking. Pay to park.

Alexia did my hair and I showed her a picture of the Balayage I wanted. I told her my hair already had dark color, so she sat me in her chair and started my hair process. After she was done with the color she had me sit under the dryer for almost an hour, 52 minutes to be exact. I kept checking it myself with my own mirror and it started to look orange and it already looked very damaged. I asked her if my hair was ready to be washed and she said "another 10 minutes". My hair does not look at all blended and it's breaking and chunks fall out. I can't believe she let me out of the hair salon looking like this. I scored by booking their February "Revive" special and got them as a package pair :) Their rooms are quiet and tranquil and you can drift off into bliss as they do their magic. I highly suggest booking an appointment with either of them (Angie for massage therapy and Lexi for facials/waxing etc.). You will not regret it... I am a stay at home mom and treated myself and the money was WELL worth it! Angie has also done my prenatal massages through all three of my pregnancies. She knows her stuff and made my pregnancies more enjoyable with her knowledge of healing. . . If momma aint happy, aint nobody happy. Lets just say we are all happy after I visit these girls!! ONLY after the salon owner saw the Google review did she send me a text- on September 5. "I was told by the salon owner....." She says that the reason for not getting back to me were family issues. So which is it? Family issues or the client is the problem? Like I said, IT IS ONLY HAIR! No big deal. But treat people right and be honest!

Nothing about her massage was deep tissue. I told her that I wanted to focus on my neck and shoulders. She barely put any pressure on those regions, and slowly used her thumb and index finger to pinch each muscle but I felt nothing and it didn't feel therapeutic at all. I asked for more pressure, she did not increase pressure. My guess is she was trying to do something reiki related which is not what I asked for at all. For the rest of my body she barely touched and just pushed the side of my legs (no skin to skin contact on my legs, just light touches over the blanket). I feel like she was just phoning it in and not trying at all. I can't believe I paid $235 for such a horrible massage. It really ruined my experience at Mt Madonna.

Pros: Swimming pool was beautiful, the quality of the food was fantastic, friendly staff, great location, etc. Cons: Internet was borderline unusable most of our stay. Key cards needed to be replaced twice. It has the framework of a very nice resort, but all the minor issues added up quickly.
