I was and still am convinced that therapy is the greatest scam in history. It does not help you get or maintain anything in life. You talk for 50 min, and then what? Do you get a job? Someone to love you? Money? NO. It does not solve problems or assist with real issues inside or out. They do not tell you what to do/not do, which most people who are unstable desperately need. So what is the point? It's simply not tangible or practical. I lost everything (job, housing, spouse, etc) under their care/guidance. They do not help you achieve a "life worth living." Quite the opposite. You are supposed to have 24/7 support, but they have very strict conditions such that practically speaking, you are not allowed to contact them outside of your session. So you feel hopeless with no one to turn to, esp at night when most of us start to become depressed and cannot sleep. No one cares. They also do not support or follow up after you leave. So I left him there with no one even speaking to him in a new environment. :( as the people were bringing the kids I kept thinking ok where are the little ones? Where is my son?! I went to check and they were in the front. My son was on his own by the door with no one paying attention. No one came to get me. I didn't know. He could have walked out or anyone could have taken him! I also felt horrible because he was probably like where is my mom. I still feel sick to my stomach.
