I had never been to the Edmond Arts Festival and was glad I did. So many shops downtown I never knew about plus I was able to enjoy all the amazing talented artist, artisans, photographers,jewelers. I wish I could afford to buy so many things. Sunday is the last day and they will be done at dusk. Go enjoy a free event,support your Oklahoma artist and try out some food. They also have a children's play area too. Great time to take the littles out for fun.

Local artists and those from across the US came to display their Arts and crafts. Arts presented ranged from drawings, paintings, sculptures, photography, pottery, jewelry, and furniture. White tents were set up for the artists to present their work for viewing and for sale. Some artists worked on paintings and drawings during the festival. Bands, musicians, and dancers were scheduled throughout the weekend. Food/drinks: Food, ice cream, wine, and beer trucks and tents were available for merchants to sell their specialties. There were plenty of tables and chairs set up for people to sit, relax, and eat and drink. Misc: There were signs stating "no animals allowed, except service dogs;" but I saw two dogs that definitely weren't service dogs. This is the 19th year of the film festival. My friend won tickets and invited me…read more Wow! The people here are friendly and it was totally for a good cause. The band was good. People were dancing all night. The food could have been better (for sure). They had meatballs, pulled chicken sliders, cauliflower, cucumbers, carrots, hummus, spicy pimento cheese and deviled eggs. Next year they really need to do better for $100 a ticket. They had wine, beer and a specialty drink. I did have a good time.

I've been to a several other film…read morefestivals around the country, and dCFF is my favorite, and not just because it is in my hometown. The programming committee does a great job developing a wonderful selection of films, which are then well-organized. You can build your schedule online, and add that directly to the calendar you already use (GCal, Outlook, etc). The films include a wide selection of films by Oklahomans (I think this year there were 27), as well as thought-provoking documentaries, funny narrative features, and a very rich and varied shorts program. This year there were ninety films across five theaters. There are many opportunities to network with filmmakers from all across the country, visiting panelists, and your fellow local film buffs. The parties are legendary - every night of the festival there are at least two fun parties to attend and enjoy. All-access badges are $125, but it's not hard to earn a badge by becoming a volunteer. There are volunteer opportunities throughout the year. There is also a 2-for-1 badge deal when you buy a CityCard, which pays for itself just with the dCFF discount, though there are many other great cultural opportunities within that. I am not a huge country fan but I love a good music festival especially when it is close to home. I went to the main stage events on Friday and I was blown away by Merle Haggard! I was the most excited to see this country legend live and he put on a great show! Saturday I really enjoyed listening to Randy Rogers and Lady Antebellum. The event was held in the old ford dealership and the location was nice, but It would have been better if we had been able to bring blankets and chairs inside for more comfortable seating. Even if they had an area in the back where you could have set up a chair or had a blanket it would have improved the event greatly. The set up was great if you like dancing and walking around. The food trucks around the main stage felt adequate for the number of people in attendance. The beer was $5 and a water was $4 which was pricey. I felt that you should have been able to bring in some water with you due to the heat and humidity, but I understand they wanted to make money. I just always worry that people will not drink enough water in the heat. I saw at least two people being seen by medics and both looked to be because of heat and dehydration. The event was spread out all over downtown and the stages were pretty far apart. It was also a little frustrating that once you were in the main stage you couldn't leave and check out the other areas of the festival. All in all I feel this event was a success! It was the first year of Okc Fest and I would be interested in checking it out if it happens again next year! I really debated on giving it five stars, but I feel there is room for improvement next year.

Oklahoma Craft Beer Festival is an annual event and is not to be missed if you like beer. 2016…read moremarked the sixth year for the festival, and was the second year for the festival to be held indoors at the Cox Convention Center. The festival organizers moved the event from the parking lot next to Tapwerks due to inclement weather in 2015, and it worked so well, it's now the spot (more space and no weather worries). I did not attend the festival at the previous location, but I did attend last year and this year. In my opinion, the organizers are doing a great job of creating an excellent beer festival that maybe someday will compete with the *holy grail. The OCBF is the place to try all sorts of Oklahoma brews as well as non-Okie beers (there were over 300 beers to try this year). Also, OCBF included homebrewers who were sponsored by established breweries this year. I really enjoyed meeting and talking to the homebrewers. The festival also included three food trucks outside this year, and while the food truck spot was pretty cramped, it was nice to have them at the very moment I realized I'd completed my first "power hour" of the day (thank you, food trucks!). There also were multiple water stations around the Convention Center which was great. I noticed the **pretzel necklace made more of an appearance this year than last year, so I think it's catching on here. One of the best parts of a beer festival is getting to try special releases that are only available at the festival. Several breweries did offer special releases during each session and I hope this is an area of improvement in future festivals. I think other areas of improvement are: create a dedicated area for designated drivers with non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. Have some games, some live music, etc. All in all, though, this is an impressive festival and I'm really glad we have it. Other note: The VIP session goers were given a glass tasting cup. Screen seems to be upgraded from 15 years ago, it seems brighter…read more Seems they have more cart security, which is good. That being said, I still had to get out of car to go tell someone to turn their headlights off; was teenagers not aware of auto lights when pushing certain buttons and didn't know because they were facing the screen. Probably has happened 100,000 times at this place now, I remember same issue before. After over 10min of no cart coming to confront them I had to or move my car. Cars coming in to park with headlights on, again same as before. They need red recessed led lighting around entry drive so people with low light sensitivity can feel comfortable and see with their lights off. Maybe even led's on row perimeter poles. They asked for me to park at a silver pole in my low to the ground Ford sedan but after parking, a small suv parked in front of me cutting off a small portion of screen from my seat. Bathrooms and snack bar were clean. Their medium pizza and a small soda was $21, got two of their great stickers for $5. The pizza was not HOT and ready, very mediocre, tasted just like the school lunch pizza I remember 30 years ago. Had one bite and closed the lid, not worth it. Half way through the 1st film "Abbot and Costello meet Frankenstein" (1948), I thought about trying the nachos or maybe some ice cream they advertise over the radio. But didn't, wish there were healthier, low-carb snacks. Not the stuff that makes me need insulin. Next time I want a pizza from this place, I will expect them to cook fresh, not kept warm stacked in an old popcorn cooker for unsuspecting customers to pay top dollar for and take one bite.
