There are a few restaurants here that I personally like, especially Din Tai Fung and Haidilao. There's also Starbucks and plenty of other spots depending on what you're in the mood for. The whole area just has a comfortable vibe to it compared to a lot of other malls. Parking has honestly never been too difficult for me either. Even when it gets busy, I can usually still find a spot without too much trouble.

Upon entering, you're handed a cheerful little ticket promising a free first hour--how generous! What they don't tell you is that you'll spend roughly two-thirds of that hour trapped in a slow-moving purgatory just trying to escape. You've got about 20 blissful minutes to enjoy yourself before trying to join the line of cars that moves slower than a sloth on melatonin. I genuinely cannot tell if the exit gates are malfunctioning, cursed, or if the drivers ahead of me were participating in some sort of cognitive endurance experiment. Multiple cars took a baffling 4-5 minutes each at the gate--an interaction that should take about 10 seconds unless you're attempting to solve a Rubik's cube while blindfolded. By the time I escaped, I had aged another decade. I will absolutely never return to this parking lot. Bring a helicopter. Hope this helps.

Then again, the parking lot while not odd has weird feel to it in getting through it, but that doesn't seem to stop the number of folks that frequent the center since it mainly serves the uphill side of Sorrento Valley as you enter the residential area of Mira Mesa. However, at night, this center is awesome since only local residents frequent it at night unbothered by the daytime whack. You've got everything you need from banks, grocery, liquor, food and coffee. Luckily, I live nearby and find it convenient for me to catch it on the way home, the way out, or simply just walk to it. I can walk to it, get what I need and return in about 20 minutes.

Over in the main area, a juice bar is opening soon; the signs are up but nobody's home yet. Oh, and the parking lot has been totally redone and, in my opinion, is much better than it was.

I've been coming to One Paseo since they're originally opened years ago. The location is right off…read morethe five freeway. They have a plethora of stores and restaurants but my favorites are definitely Sephora, Pigment and Salt & Straw. When in the mood to drink beer and whatnot, I love Hardland Brewery! The location at One Paseo is one of my top 5 faves. Parking is adequate. The recently installed a "Premier Paid Parking" option on the 1st level of the parking garage. You can easily just scan the QR code and pay - the only thing that's not cool about this is the minimum amount of hours they have is three hours. They need to have an option where it can be 1-2 hours. I've never stayed for three hours or longer here. However, there is free parking on multiple levels of the structure. Yesterday when I came during the day on a Thursday... It was quite packed! There are customer service of staff at Sephora, Pigment and Salt & Straw is amazing. They have a nice selection of stores such as Roark, Fjall Raven, Faherty, Lululemon, Marrow and more. As far as restaurants, they house North Italia, Jan's Health Bar (their smoothies are my fave esp the Chunky Monkey), Postino (great menu and happy hour menu), Nick's Del Mar, Shake Shack, Cava and more. My ultimate most favorite thing about this place is that it's extremely pet friendly! My favorite thing to do is after shopping I go get myself a scoop of ice cream at salt and straw and then sit and eat out on the sitting area outside with my dog. Pricing at One Paseo is anywhere from mid to moderate to high. my reason for my four star review instead of five is the premier paid parking. The three hour minimum isn't cool with me. Please have a 1 or 2 hour option. Overall, this is a nice place to go with a friend or a partner or family and a group of friends to just hang out and enjoy the day/night.
