Very organized, efficient and happy environment. This is not their first rodeo. Loved all my care givers from the intake nurse to the staging room to finally being wheeled out to the curb for my ride. Upon release and being rolled out in a wheel chair with all my instructions in hand, I noticed a handwritten card with the names of everyone who took care of me. I came here to accompany a friend who was getting an endoscopy. First of all, Mirage Endoscopy is anything but a mirage. The building was large and white and super easy to find. It did NOT disappear when we approached it. The inside was clean and cool, and the receptionist was friendly. When she told me the WiFi password I totally thought she was being a wise-ass. 'BANANA_ _ _ _.' Really? BANANA? My friend is about to get something up their butt, hoping it will be thin and flexible, and you're throwing, 'BANANA' at us? Okay, so anyway, the wait time was not unreasonable. My friend was able to check-in early, and begin their Hershey highway excursion a bit early. The parking lot had ample spaces - even some with shade. The waiting room was quiet, clean, and played some very nice music videos. I tried to find the whole butt-insertion theme in the song titles as well, but there really wasn't anything obvious there. All of the girls behind the counter wear glasses, and that's good, because if anyone is going to be shoving something up my friend's butt, they really should be able to see what they're doing. Joanna was among the rudest receptionists I have ever had in the forty-five years I have lived in the desert. Have you come in one hour before your procedure? This heightens anxiety for the patient. The receiving room is as cold as a refrigerator. The girls in the front have more fun talking to each other than doing their job. The music is loud and not professional. I had to arrive at 9:20 to check in....my appointment was scheduled for 10:20. Finally, I was processed with a robe, medical questions and put into a hospital bed where I laid for two hours. Not one person checked in on me to inform me of any delays. I can hear them in the hallway more concerned about ordering dog food from Amazon. My physician did apologize, but inexcusable bedside manner. The procedure took 25 minutes. They never called my husband to tell him about any delays so he drove back to the center to see what had happened. They told him that I hadn't started the colonoscopy. I finally was wheeled out to the car at 1:50 to go home. I don't have to return for 10 years but i will never return to that center for anything. read more

Wow! The 24 hours prior to the procedure were uncomfortable, but once I reported to the center, I was treated with kindness and friendliness. All during the preparation they were sooooo nice that I actually felt relaxed! The procedure happened and I never knew it. After I felt no pain or discomfort. The gals really did all they could to help me feel warm and comfortable. THEY WERE GREAT! They even signed a card to me which I found later in my discharge papers! Very poor service and follow up- Was scheduled for a Colonoscopy and the day before I was scheduled (in the throws of prepping) they canceled my Doctor and informed me that the Insurance I had would not cover this procedure- this Insurance was GIC which is a State Insurance and covered everywhere - I called back and found out that they were given bad information and that it could be used- Too Late- a day before and in the mode of prepping- I asked to have a call from the Manager- NO CALL- I would be very careful and look elsewhere- very poor customer focus - No one likes to have a colonoscopy and prepping is not fun, so the day before to cancel is unacceptable due to a failure to validate insurance coverage- which was later false - I sincerely hope this does not occur to other read more

Look. Having a doctor stick a camera up your butt is never fun. But everyone at this place was patient, caring, meticulous, and put me at ease. They called 4 times leading up to the grandest of "selfie" event. Each time making sure I knew the process, the infamous "prep" and the details of the actual appointment. They let me know my portion up front. When I arrived they did a good covid screening, and check in was easy (did all the history on the web portal the day before) The nurse who put the IV in was a boss level expert, and was successful and had less sting than a small mosquito. At 7:10 i rolled on my side. Anesthesiologist asked if I was comfy. I said yes. I then woke up in recovery. Clock said 7:55. Nurse goes "it's all done" I've had oil changes that were much more of a pain. 5 stars. Will recommend to anyone who needs a rear end photo shoot. read more

Except for the Door Greeter that scolded me for being 12 min early and told me I would have to wait longer now , everyone else was Kind , friendly , knowledgable , and professional . After I had waited about 45 min in lobby was eventually notified that Dr had arrived and would be taken back shortly . 6/12/2023 - I had a colonoscopy done today. Although I had one done 10 years ago, I was a bit nervous. There was a bit of a hiccup in the check-in process but, once I was taken back, I felt cared for and calm. All the staff, Johana, Marina, Amy, Maria (I hope I got the names right), and Dr. Ajumobi were friendly, efficient, and professional. They all made sure I understood what they were doing and what would be happening. And everyone wanted to know if I had any quenstions. (Very refreshing.) The entire process lasted just over 2 hours, from the time I walked in to the time I was wheeled out. They made an unpleasant experience much more tolerable. I had a procedure done here and was very pleased With them. I was greeted immediately upon entering and was not made to wait at all but the intake staff immediately sat me down and went over all my paperwork. I then only had to wait 5 minutes before a nurse took me back to prep me for the procedure. The only pain I felt was when they put the IV needle into my vein I was then taken to a gurney to lie on The ceiling was palm trees and the sound of birds was playing on a sound machine. I almost fell asleep there bu only 3 minutes later they wheeled me into the operating room. The doctor greeted me immediately and a moment later a nurse told me th medicine would begin. I was out in 20 seconds. Th next thing I knew I was I a room and the nurse was waking me up and said I was finished. She told me my results and my driver took me home Such a comforting experience with no pain and no problems. I highly reccomend. read more

Have been putting off my colonoscopy for the last 10 years and finally went through with the process here at the Mirage Endoscopy Center with Dr Flannery. Everyone one there was great. First of all I went to Dr Linn. I have Kaiser Coverage but as I live in Palm Springs they found. a doctor closer. I went in a week early as is the way, talked to the nurses about my tolerance for pain medication. Because of certain medication I've been on for years it takes more sedation. 10 years ago the same thing happened and I wouldn't let them touch me until I was probably sedated. I talked to this place 5 times telling them about my resistance to certain sedations. I was told not to worry, truly don't worry as we won't go forward till your sedated WRONG. I didn't even know I was sedated. I asked when was I going to be sedated? "You have been and that's all we can give you. I told them to stop. The nurse said it's almost over. WORNG AGAIN! It seems like it went on forever and Dr Lin bulldozed his way not listening or caring how I felt. I asked him to stop. We're almost done they said I felt like a prisoner at Auchwitz with Dr Melenga as my doctor I know the difference between twilight and being knocked out and extra medicine for people like me I don't think I'll be getting a Christmas card after this review but people have to beware. If the dr puts on a glove and shoves a finger with Vaseline on it and YOU FEEL IT the your not sedated. You should feel sleepy, on the edge and in a dream state. I rate Mirage Endoscopy Center a 10-star, starting from consultation thru to the actual colonoscopy. Very very professional and informative at every step. Of course the anxiety was off the charts. Dr. Gary Annunziata explained each step of the process. I did a 4 day semi-fast and lost 8 lbs so I think that was helpful along with the Suprep solution. I had two benign polpys. My EISENHOWER primary care physician referred me for a colonoscopy to a doctor affiliated with EISENHOWER, and the procedure took place at "Mirage Endoscopy Center". Appointment scheduled : 10:00 am ... procedure to be at 10:40 am My experience from the moment I arrived for a colonoscopy, dealings with an unprofessional and poorly managed staff, the mishandling initial insurance and billing paperwork, being called to be prepped for the procedure at 10:45 am, then left lying on a gurney, in a secluded hallway for over an hour ... until 11:54am. ( Documented by a cell phone call to my waiting caregiver ) My experience at MIRAGE ENDOSCOPY CENTER was a total disaster !!! read more

Boy, am I glad that my colonoscopy was scheduled in this practice!!! They have the nicest staff from the "greeter" outside the door due to Covid safety measurements. They get one patient at the time so the full staff looks after all your needs and concerns. Dr James Conti bedside manners are impeccable, he made me feel very comfortable. I asked to have my procedure with no anesthesia and he assured me I could have something instantly in case I felt any discomfort. I watched the whole procedure which was done fast and painlessly. Didn't think I would ever write a review about a colonoscopy (!) but I wanted to pass along some positive feedback to the staff at this clinic. I had a colonoscopy yesterday and it was a very positive experience, all things considered of course. Check-in was super efficient. The gentleman who then prepped me was very kind and professional. The nurse during the procedure (Belinda?) gave me a very reassuring hug as I was going under sedation. And the assistant who helped with checkout was incredibly nice (...can't remember her name as I was sedated).
