If you are looking for a relaxing experience, this isn't it. I'm new to the area and need a new massage place for my monthly massages. This place was a complete disappointment. Customer service was awful. I can give a pass on the language barrier but these folks have no idea how to run a respectable massage establishment. The lady that was at the counter was pleasant but did not give any instruction. She just rushed me to choose a service and then told me to go into one of the rooms. I had to ask what I needed to do since it was my first time there. I was not asked what type of massage I wanted, the pressure preference, or if there were any areas I wanted them to focus on. She had a male therapist assist but I don't feel comfortable with male therapists so I asked him is there was a female available. There was some type of back and forth outside. (Mind you, this is supposed to be a relaxing experience but they don't seem to know how to whisper). The lady that was at the counter then came in and started massaging me. About 5-10 minutes into the session another lady comes into the room and they have a short conversation (again at full volume voice level) and then the new lady starts the massage and the other leaves. No warning given to me (the customer). At first the lady focused on my shoulders which was fine but she kept trying to massage areas I didn't want touched and I had to keep telling her no, thank you but she didn't seem to understand? On top of that her phone was on ring and she kept getting notifications. It was an extremely awkward and uncomfortable experience. I would absolutely not recommend this place. I still paid the $70 for the 1 hour massage to avoid an altercation but I don't think it was worth it at all. To summarize the cons: The rooms are dingy, dirty looking/ smelling. The linen did not smell clean/nice. The ceiling had a hole in it (pretty weird)! Bad/ lack of customer service. No professional etiquette. Pricey in my opinion. The oil they use leaves a terrible odor. The language barrier is a huge hindrance because they don't understand what I'm asking. read more

I went in for a foot massage and got upsold for a $50 body/foot massage for 1hour. It's a little seedy looking and rooms are dingy, but they gave a great massage for an incredible price. My teenager went with me and we were in a double room, she complained later that it was too hard/aggressive but she was too shy to speak up. Heard about this place from my sis in law who heard about it from her friend. $40 for an hour massage?! Take my money. I went in and opted for the $50 full body massage. Personal room closed off with curtains. Took my bra/shirt off, kept my workout shorts on and covered up with a sheet. I had a full body and stretches done, with hot stones mixed in. The lady 15 mins focused on forehead and tip half scalp massage. Don't wear makeup ( like I did) and expect it to not be wiped off. Totally ok, just a heads up. The temple massage was heaven. I've been here twice. The first time was an elderly gentleman. He did an amazing job and loosened up my lower back more than anyone has ever been able to.it was euphoric and the best experience. This time it was a younger gentleman and it was disappointing. I really needed this, my lower back has been killing me and it felt like a 12 year old was rubbing my shoulders literally. Like next to no pressure. Not even the correct pressure points. didn't touch my lower back. I felt like he was afraid to touch me literally. He was nice so I hate saying it but that was the most awkward massage I've ever had. I couldn't wait for it to be done. Smh. This place is awe-mazing! Customer service is always a superb! I get the 60 minute appointment which is only $40 and is worth every dime and much more. There's about half of the appointment spent on the feet alone and the other 30 mins is allocated to thighs/hands/arms/scalp/back..Essentially almost a full body massage while clothed....Each therapist I've had has been accommodating and gentle or rough as I request. Some staff speak very little English but with patience I've always been able to communicate...Additionally the google translate app became my friend years ago and it's very accurate in translating....Additionally they are open 10 to 10 7 days a week! I am a seasoned late night reflexology customer that used to be in Seattle where the business is competitive and always open until at least 11pm/Midnight. I have been to Miracle Massage several times in the last year since moving to Tacoma and unfortunately the ladies working the desk have NO CLUE about massage place etiquette like: all talk must be extremely QUIET even on the phone taking appointments, keep break areas closed and noise cancelled, the phone ringer must be low, and never leave the phone unattended so it won't ring multiple times. Due to these faults I cannot support this place without proof of significant changes. I will be trying the new Pearl Massage opening soon down the street, hoping for better. Tacoma NEEDS late hours reflexology places badly - please fire those ladies or send them for "training" at the real-deal places in Seattle or South Tacoma to learn the critical etiquette they need. read more

After getting the foot rub and going into the room we decided to get an hour body massage. The price jumped from 50 to 80. We thought reasonable enough let's do it. My daughter gets a woman masseuse and I get the guy. He then proceeded to give me my massage on top of the sheet, as in the sheet was covering my body and he rubbed me over it. After 15 min, I'm like hey, u gunna use some oil. He goes oh, u want oil? What! Of course I want oil. I want a massage. So he pulls the sheet down and splat splat splats the oil on my back. I'm thinking really. Wtf is going on. Hey starts rubbing my back and I'm like, finally. Here comes the massage. All of a sudden he leaves the room. He's gone for like a minute or so. Comes back and puts the hottest rocks on my back. They were so hot I'm thinking fuck! I'm getting 3rd degree burns I kno it. He rubs these things up and down my back til they start to cool down, then leaves the room again. Comes back again about a minute later w a wash cloth I swear he traded from pierce county jail. That thing was so fucking rough. He slaps it down on my back and starts peeling the skin he just burned off my fucking back. Next thing I kno, he's cleaning the crack of my ass out. Seriously. At this point I'm just hoping that it'll get better even tho I KNO it's not going to. Needless to say it didn't. While I did pay for my massage and I do feel violated in a way, I'm really just grateful that it was me that got this asshat rather than my daughter. Had he done the shit he did to me w her, I'd prolly be in jail right now. Also, he had a slight smell of poop surrounding him as he would walk past me I would get a whiff. Clearly this guy is the creepy uncle that has ZERO skill and got thrown in to work. Do NOT go to this place. I finally tried out Miracle Foot massage and let me say I've been to many foot massage places and I was really hoping to like them because they are close to where I live but...I won't go back. Nice ladies but the environment was very cold from the temperature of the place, the bare floors and the bright light behind the desk it was less than warm and inviting. I had the hour long foot massage and the lady seemed very new and not that good. When it came to flipping over for the back massage (the part I was really looking forward to) she had me sit on the ottoman at the end of the chair instead...I was confused by this. Now after I saw in the Yelp pictures they do the back massage portion laying down on the chair not sitting upright on the ottoman. I was so disappointed after looking forward to a nice massage. Nothing beats the foot massages in Redmond and Bellevue but its a long drive from Tacoma :( read more

I was the only customer there but with both male and female staff present, I felt very safe. There are language barriers, so don't expect easy conversation. $20 for 30 min which included head, neck, and shoulder massage and lengthy foot/leg massage was well done. Best date night ever! My husband and I each wanted 1-hour "foot" massages, but they do your entire body. They even use hot stones for your legs. If you're into relaxation massages I wouldn't recommend it. They go full-strength and you feel amazing the next day.
