The second surgery was done in Sioux Falls at Opthalmology Limited. I was diagnosed with Wet MD this August & have had eye injections done by Dr. Thomas. The last two injections have been done in Mitchell at the Mabee Eye Clinic. The appointments are run like a well oiled clock. Yesterday, I left at 11:50 from work, had the scan, eye test & injection. I was back at work at 12:30. Great professionals and staff!

And then, on top of that, they tend to "try out" new non-formulary treatments (read expensive and not covered) without any real discussion with the patients. I wouldn't be surprised if there were financial incentives between the pharmacy sales representatives and clinics to push those instead of less expensive options that work as well. And their financial people seem to have difficulty with communication. They struggle getting even simple pre-authorizations and seem offended if you call with even a simple question. When we discussed my 15-year-old daughters health issues, he was able to explain what he thought was going on with the brain, leading to these issues (headaches, nausea, lightheadedness, blood pooling in her calves, Asperger's diagnosis, social anxiety, etc.). We flew to see Dr. Cooper for a 4-day intensive and it was amazing! My daughter enjoyed going each day because he made it fun, and we saw many symptoms improve in just 4 days!! Dr. Cooper drew us a diagram of how her cerebellum and basal ganglia were affecting other areas of her body and contributing to the symptoms, as well as videos to continue strengthening these areas once we got home. He ruled out POTS and noticed that she has Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and a swollen thyroid. These are things that other doctors missed. We ordered a Cyrex Lab to look for mold toxicity, Lyme, and other pathogens as well. He gave us suggestions for histamine and mast cell issues that she struggles with also.
