I choose Miracle door after reading the information on the various door refinishers websites. To make it even better Miracle Doors was running a special sales price which saved me $50.00. It was easy to call and schedule an appointment and they gave me a choice of dates. To my surprise the tech arrived exactly at 9:00 am which was the scheduled time. It is very rare for techs these days to show up on time. The tech was very professional and polite. We had several stain colors to choose from. While the tech was working on the door, several times I asked him questions about the process he was following and he always gave me detailed answers. He told me to feel free to ask any questions i had. When he put the stain on the door he called me and my wife out to look at the door. We told him the color was a little lighter than we expected. He said no problem and he could feather in more stain which darkened the door to the color we were looking for. The only point I will mention is the stain is a semi-gloss and not a high- gloss finish like the original stain on the door. But once he completed the job we were well satisfied with the look and his workmanship. The whole job took about three hours. Don't usually write reviews but Miracle Doors gave a stellar performance. The finish on my front door was weather damaged, giving the wood a chalky, faded appearance. Hadn't previously used Miracle Doors but contacted them after seeing one of their adds. Easily obtained a cost estimate after texting a photograph of the door and its dimensions. Miracle Doors was very responsive and I received the estimate and schedule within a few short hours. Sayed and Carlos were the technicians and arrived on time. Very courteous, they first described the process, removed the door and installed a temporary plastic cover. I selected the new stain color from a good assortment of options. They performed all the work in my driveway to avoid any dust in my garden. Within a few hours the door was beautifully finished and re-installed, complete with new weatherstripping. It's beautiful and looks new - couldn't be happier!! The technicians cleaned the work area and provided a written warranty for the work. Short story - a good experience; the work was professionally completed at a competitive price, with a warranty. I recommend Miracle Doors and recently referred them to a friend. read more

I met Christian last month while he was refinishing a fiberglass front door for one of my neighbors. I was impressed with what I saw and called his office when I got home. My big concern was the price - $299 seemed low for a complete refinish of an 8' mahogany door with large beveled glass inserts, for which I have paid $500 in the past. Miranda (Office Manager) put my concerns to rest, so based on the work performed for my neighbor, I decided to give them a try. Johnnie and Sam showed up early and worked consistently through the process, explaining everything to my wife and me as they went along. They also pointed out problems with two of my other doors, which they repaired for a reasonable upcharge. Result: my front door looks like new and the other doors now keep the cold out. Christian and Miracle Doors have refinished 3 out of 4 mahogany exterior doors for me and I am truly impressed with the work. Christian and his helper showed up on time and got right to work. He answered all of my questions, kept me updated on the process and when one of the eight-foot doors was going to take longer than expected, he let me know and let me know why (it was because the existing finish was more of a challenge than expected and he didn't want to rush). The work was done on time, my property was treated with respect, the work area was left clean and neat and the door and door hardware were reinstalled properly. I am sometimes hard to please, but not this time. Miracle Door's pricing is fair and the workmanship is high quality. I am scheduling that last door soon. read more

We first thought our experience with Miracle Door was not going to be very good. They were very delayed arriving to our house and the communication from the office personnel was very lacking on relaying the fact that they were going to be very very delayed. Now with that being said , when Josh arrived he was very professional, informative and explained why he was delayed. Josh walked us through the process and gave his professional advice, helping us to choose the stain that would look best with our exterior house colors. Josh was very efficient and did an outstanding job. Our door looks amazing. I would recommend Miracle Door to friends and neighbors, just based on the professional work that Josh did. The finish on our front door had been deteriorated by the sun over the last 4 years of exposure. Several of the neighbors had already contracted with Miracle Doors to refinish their doors, so I gave then a call to discuss the process, time involved, and cost. For comparison purposes, I called a few other companies, and felt they were not as professional as the Miracle Doors person to whom I had spoken. In addition, the other companies were more expensive. So, I contracted with Miracle Doors to refinish my door. The results were just beautiful ! It looked like brand new or better. Our entry door was in serious need refinishing. The team at Miracle Doors Houston showed up earlier than expected and began doing their "magic!" A little over 3 hours later I had what now looks like a new door. Excellent job overall, except for a damaged screw stub that must have occurred when trying to remove a security screw left behind by the builder. There is now a hole with a piece of screw thread in the middle. I feel that they should have at least pointed it out to me instead of keeping it to themselves, especially since they told me they encounter security screws at least "once a week, and no problem, I can easily get it out." I'm still giving a rating of 5 Stars because the price was fair, and the finished door is what I expected. read more

Found Miracle Doors thru Yelp and Houston Chronicle newspaper. Their previous good reviews in Yelp showed me the way. Flawless performance from virtual estimate to locking in the date and getting the work done. Larry and Brett were easy to work with and did a great job on my front and back doors. They got the doors off their hinges with ease, covered the entry way openings, and taped off the door hardware before sanding and coating. Their system is experienced and efficient. Miracle Door did an outstanding job on my mahogany front door that has a full leaded glass panel. I was concerned about the technician taking the door off the hinges, but Tim was very careful and did a magnificent job with the door. He arrived promptly and explained exactly what he would do. His job was very thorough and my 19 yr old door looks like new again. Their job surpasses my work as well as any others that I have used. I requested that my hardware not be removed. Carlos and Will came to work on our door on time at 8am. They checked with us on the shade of color, first before staining our door. We were very pleased with the color. Both young men were very hard working, and polite. They stayed until the job got done at 8:30 pm. They seemed to have old fashion values of communication, pleasing the customer, and working until the job got done. We are very pleased with the refinishing of our front double doors. The work done by Christian is great! And on top of that he was pleasant and very professional. It looks exactly like we wanted it to look. The entire crew at Miracle Doors were a pleasure to deal with. The technician arrived on time, inspected the door and asked my preference on how the door will be finished. He gave me the time it will take to finish the job. Upon removal of the door, he covered the doorway with plastic to keep the dust from coming in as well as keep the cool air inside the house. The job was done in time and I am pleased with the result. My door looked new and he even told me I can contact Kwikset to obtain a replacement for the door lock since the policy of the company is lifetime warranty on the finish of the hardware. Technician was on time and very professional. He did an amazing transformation on our door. He replaced the weather stripping on the door and now if fits snug with no wind coming thru. We like the fact that the door was removed and no harsh chemicals were used to strip the old finish. It was sanded and then new stain and clear coat was applied. We were given detailed instruction on when we could hang wreaths on the door and how long it would take for the door to cure. Steven was right on time. We were going to have both sides of our front door refinished. The inside of the door had been scratched up by the previous homeowner's dog. Steven said the ithe outside of the door was faded from the sun.nside just nned some light sanding but not the full refinishing job which would save us money. Once he finished with both sides of the front door, it looks like a brand new door. Just beautiful and at a great price too. I had my door done today by miracle door. The two young men were on time and very professional. I have had my front door done many times by various companies and individuals and this is the best it has ever looked. The two sidelights look great too. I will gladly recommend them to my neighbors as we all have this type door and the sun is very hard on them.
