I so appreciate the opportunity to make an appointment to meet in-person or virtually with a medical professional at a CVS MinuteClinic as that is often more convenient than setting up an appointment at a doctor's office. I looked online two days ago to make an appointment for this afternoon as I have learned there are few options on the day of an appointment (though there are sometimes some). It was easy to fill out online forms and pre-check in to save time upon my arrival. I literally only had to click a button in the CVS app to say that I had arrived. About 5-10 minutes after my appointment time, a medical professional mentioned that two people were booked for the same appointment time (which they later confirmed is normal practice). Even though one of the times was mine, someone else arrived just before me, so he got to go in first. I ended up having my appointment 25 minutes later than my appointment time. While the medical professional was very professional, a good listener, and gave me solid advice after checking on me, I felt like the time I was waiting to go meet with her and the time after I wrapped up was not a good use of my time. I was also given in my appointment summary a list of which medicines I should pick up, from where, and for what quantities. I ended up going to the CVS Pharmacy to discuss what I was told to find. In one of the cases, they had the item behind the pharmacy. In another one, I needed help determining which of three items to pick up. In the last one, I was told no such quantity exists at the store; in that case, I found the earlier medical professional I met in my appointment, and she helped me find something similar to what she suggested I get (even if the pharmacy was unable to point me the right direction). The MinuteClinic area was a bit messy upon my arrival with Kleenex laying around a table and some protective masks on the side of the space. There were check-in devices to speed up anyone's check-in process. While I was waiting for my appointment, a concerned customer came over to the MinuteClinic area and had no idea he had to make an appointment and that walk-ins had difficulty seeing medical professionals there. I explained how to use the app, how to create a CVS account, and how to make a MinuteClinic appointment. No appointments were available for today at the location but there was an open appointment at another location. He spoke to the medical professional at this location but she told him he could only fill in if an appointment didn't show up. All in all, a great service and concept, but the experience today was only okay. read more

MinuteClinic should be avoided if at all possible. They are set up to commit fraud via false advertising. We had a condition that we knew needed prescription medication to address. I went to their website thinking my regular doctor would not have immediate bookings. I filled out their information request and specified exactly what the condition was. The Site not only specified they COULD and WOULD treat it but it was on a standard drop down as well ensuring there was no question that the issue was a known one. I schedule an appointment, go to it, spend 6 minutes talking where the NP clearly agrees what the issue is and then... Says Minute Clinic cannot prescribe or help at all because it's a longer medication. They informed me there was nothing they could or would do and told me to go see a different Dr. Advised if they were refusing to assist with something they explicitly said they could handle to get my business then they needed to ensure I was not billed. The NP got defensive at that and smirked at me as they said they had to move to their next patient. I called Billing where they tried to repeatedly get me to agree that "The Patient was seen" refusing to acknowledge the false advertising. Escalated to a Supervisor where I was on hold for approximately 15 minutes. They came back and tried to again tell me "Since the patient was seen a supervisor won't help you either." Making it very clear that their talk time was being hurt waiting for a Supervisor. Advised again they were committing Fraud and False Advertising and needed to transfer me to a supervisor if they were unable to help. They became snarky and sullen and told me to hold more. A total of 30 minutes pass with the rep coming back to say they're still holding for a supervisor making it very clear they have a staffing issue or are refusing to assist and just waiting for me to get off the phone. This continued until I had to leave because, thankfully, the normal doctor I have for this had a cancellation and could address the issue. Again, under no circumstances go to MinuteClinic as they are trying to scam you. read more

Literally they canceled my appointment when I was on my way over there and this is third time it happened. Called customer service at 8:30 in the morning,apparently wait time was more then 10 minutes so I left call back number. They returned my call at 1:30 pm. read more

Honestly I was looking forward to this appointment considering how hard it is to get seen by any doctor nowadays well I got there at exactly my appointment time and started checking in through my phone(it was my first time so I was still figuring it out) as I was getting my insurance info a male comes out of the first office and asks me if I have an appointment to which I answered yes he states that I'm running very late and I said I apologize I was just checking in and getting my info in then he said "what time is it?" I stated 6:05pm he answered "exactly, you're late you have to hurry up we don't have a lot of time." When I was already there all I was doing was checking in 1st red flag, he could've been more considerate and asked if I needed help or if I was confused with the system anyway I get up feeling bad because I felt like I was making this person late to another appointment no turned out he just wanted to go home I was the last person and I only know that because he heavily expressed himself like that, I was already feeling like I wanted to run out of there on top of having such a nasty attitude the odor that was coming from him was not the most pleasing but I had to suck it up and try not to vomit because he smelled like he was running a marathon outside in this 115 heat. He proceeded to tell me "sit on the green chair" but there was 2 green chairs I then specified if it was the one closest or farthest he repeated himself so rudely "sit on the dark green chair TO YOUR LEFT" honestly that should've been it for me I was so uncomfortable I just wanted to tell him if there was anyone else that could help me but I just couldn't speak up he make the room so awkward and I just didn't want to be more of a problem(so I felt) anyway as he sits there he's sighing and asking me questions showing the most fakest empathy ever when it came to my insurance he stated my insurance wasn't current I gave him all information and it was definitely active he stated that sometimes the computer doesn't connect with the insurance so I would have to pay out of pocket but he was mumbling so I couldn't understand what he was telling me a few more questions do by then I realize that he's going to make me pay or he states something about paying so I stop him and ask him if it was going to be a out of pocket payment because he couldn't figure out my insurance to which he states yes you are going to pay out of pocket for everything so I ask him the amounts he tells me $99-$150 that's not including all the test we will have to run I figured I was don't to have to pay like a copay but it wasn't in my budget to pay for over $300 in a doctors visit so I declined the service and I thanked him for his time to which he responded "no I'm sorry I hope you find help in whatever you are going through" I said thank you and walked out, I felt kind of helpless at that point the type of care he provided was really not an experience I've ever had with a nurse before if he wanted to go home he should've asked to leave or asked to be covered by any other person because that isn't the person I was seeing he was just taking my vitals. I go home to check my insurance thinking that something is wrong I log in and it shows my insurance is very active there's no problem with it so it just makes me believe that he just didn't want to take me in or kind of wanted to just finish the day I was thinking like maybe he was going through something, turns out he's just like that my mom had a similar experience with that person so it's literally just a him problem. If you've stayed this far to read this review i definitely recommend going elsewhere or just avoiding this person at all. I was referred here from the start and it's only because the actual doctors are the sweetest but I guess you have to go through the not so nice ones to get them. read more

We went in for routine wellness checks and the staff was amazing. They were welcoming and kept the exams quick and non intrusive. They explained our results and my husband was impressed with the ease of the appointment. Definitely recommend for those seeking a quick visit. read more

I had a visit here today. Making the appointment online was easy and convenient. I waited in my car until they were ready for me. They have completely remodeled and expanded the clinic and it looks great. There are now 2 nurse practitioners helping patients and someone was there to help with the check in when I arrived. The nurse practitioner that saw me was very friendly and professional, she put me at ease right away. She listened and was attentive. She even went into the CVS sales floor and suggested products. Bonus, I was able to get my flu shot as well during this appointment. This is not the same Minute Clinic as described In previous reviews. They have done a fabulous job at remodeling and expanding it and you can tell there is a real focus on customer service now. Great job CVS, huge improvement. First off - I want to say that I have not had the need to go to an urgent care or a minute clinic so I am not familiar with the latest policies and procedures there but something unexpected arose so I needed to use this type of service. I decided to try a Minute Clinic at a CVS Store. I quickly realized that they are very busy and wait times are extremely long but that did not deter me. I went to a location in North Scottsdale since it was nearby where I was at the time. Needless to say - I was not impressed and ended up not being seen after waiting nearly three hours. I won't go into details. But lets just say - it lacked good customer service, listening skills, and basically any empathy at all.... Thankfully - I did not give up on Minute Clinic and decided to try a different location. I went to the one closer to my house once I returned home and I was pleasantly surprised. The CVS at 32nd Street and Union Hills has a very nice Minute Clinic inside their store. It is roomy, quaint, and organized. They also have a Care Concierge who is available to help you get signed in and with questions if needed. The CVS store itself is really nice and very clean. They have also recently remodeled it and it looks wonderful. Everyone working at this store is very helpful and happy which is so wonderful to see and to experience. The pharmacy was also prompt and professional. The best part of all is the service that I received during my Minute Clinic visit. I was greeted by a very kind and caring Nurse Practitioner named Tammy Gregory. I felt that she truly took a vested interest in me from the start regarding why I was there and what I needed. Tammy was remarkable in every way! She listened, she cared, she was thorough, helpful and knowledgeable in trying to resolve my health concern. Most importantly - Tammy was friendly, compassionate and showed a great deal of empathy. You can tell that helping, listening and caring for people in need is very important to her. It's not just a job. And amazingly - she did all this while still handling other issues like their sign up portal being down and her needing to communicate with a technician and upper management to get this technical problem resolved quickly so that they could still accommodate so many other people who needed to be seen. It is so refreshing to still know that great customer service and awesome medical care is available when we need it. The world is a bit crazy right now and we are all dealing with unexpected things so being able to get great care quickly is very important and much needed. To sum things up - This Minute Clinic location and their NP - Tammy Gregory are on top of their game!! When I came here to write a review I was surprised (shocked is probably a better word) that there were no reviews for this location and only a tiny handful of reviews for any of the Minute Clinics anywhere in the Phoenix area. How could this be, after all this is a company that has 800 locations in 28 states and you mean no one has posted any reviews, either positive or negative? That was my first big red flag that something is fishy about this place. Like probably 99% of people who come to this place I had a health issue that needed attention but I would not be able to get an appointment with a real doctor for several days, and my issue wasn't quite to the level of having to visit an emergency room. A quick online search resulted in the #1 return that Minute Clinic advertises that they specialize in what I needed. And their location was close, which was good because I didn't feel well enough to drive very far. When I arrived I found them in the back corner of the CVS drug store, squeezed in next to the smelly bathrooms. I've been in that store many times and never saw them. I had to ask one of the staff who giggled a bit when I asked her where the "Minute Clinic" was. Part of not being able to find it is due to their incoherent signage, which carries through to the hand-scribbled notes taped to the door and funky computer printout signage. There's not a person in sight. SOMEHOW you're supposed to know to sign in at a self-service kiosk. The kiosk doesn't say a word about what services they offer or what the rates are, in fact there's no way of knowing their prices except for a few limited services on a small sign and no way of even knowing if they do what you need until after you wait an hour for your first contact with an actual human. So much for the concept of "minute" clinic. The touch-screen kiosk is a disaster. I am technical-minded but I swear whoever designed the kiosk never actually used it. The touch-keys don't work and there is no logic to how you are supposed to enter the info. After you enter the info, somehow you're supposed to know to sit and wait. The entire place is only staffed by one person who hides behind a locked door, so she doesn't know you're there and you have no idea how many people, if any, are before you. They do send you a text message (their only method of communication) that says your wait will be an hour but if they can't find you they'll delete you. I'm not sure what happens with people who don't use texting. Once inside the tiny office (about the size of an average guest bedroom) it is far from sterile and there was no evidence if even a casual wipe-down between customers. The attendant didn't wear sterile gloves and there weren't any in sight. Meanwhile she handled money, ID's, paperwork and medical tools without washing her hands in-between. Her main interest was how she was going to get paid, even before knowing what I needed or telling me how much it would cost. What she (tried) to do for me failed. I walked out with the same problem, knowing she had billed my insurance company for doing nothing. I had to go to a real doctor the next business day to have the procedure redone correctly, which took two visits with the doctor to correct what the Minute Clinic made worse. Suggestion: if you are really sick go to the ER. Do NOT go to a Minute Clinic. If you're not that sick, make an appointment to see a real doctor. If you're somewhere in-between, like you have to see someone today, there are numerous other walk-in clinics that have a larger staff and usually have a qualified medical professional on duty. I would not ever, under any circumstances, go back to Minute Clinic again. [EDIT] 5 months later (perhaps in retribution for this review?) Susan Ward who runs this place sent me to a collection agency for $15. Note that I stated above that they had accepted my insurance for their so-called "service" and I have a receipt for any co-pay due. Can you believe that?!?! Wow! read more

I made an apt online 1st thing this morning because I woke up with a sore throat. At NO point was there a prompt, or a call from them, saying that I'd need to ha e a Covid test (somewhere else) prior to being seen. I wasted my whole fucking morning on these ass clowns!! Would be nice to let patients know this in advance. I actually work in medical, and so this is even MORE frustrating! I will not ever use this place again, nor would I recommend them to ANYONE!! Awful experience here with the woman working today. I couldn't leave fast enough. She was extremely belittling, sarcastic, and dry. For everything I said, she scoffed/laughed and then said something offensive and sarcastic. For example, when I requested my son be tested for strep regardless of not having a fever (because I've had strep without a fever) she raised her eyebrows, turned away from me, and said "Oookaayyy. You'll be holding him down." I weighed him and measured him, too, while she sat down at her computer. She told me to get saline for him, and I told her I had some for his machine since he's asthmatic. His allergist prescribed it. Her response was "Well, obviously the allergist knows waayyyy more than I do...NOT. That's obviously not working for him." This lady has no idea how to interact with people. I can't get over how disrespectful she was. I'm livid! Right before I left she said, again, very sarcastically, "I would suggest you get the saline spray, but obviously your allergist knows more, so..." NEVER coming back here again. read more

Great place to go for health issues. Provider (Patrita) I saw last week is very professional and paid attention to my concerns and went above and beyond to help us in every way. I was there with my daughter and she took really good care of her. My daughter made a mess on the floor and she made us feel like it was not a big deal and continued with our health concerns. Highly disappointed in the medical staff. I scheduled an appointment online with symptoms listed, was never told or asked to take a covid test prior to my scheduled appointment. I show up early & sign in and wait 15 minutes while the medical "professionals" talked and joked and laughed with one another as I'm clearly sitting right next to them sick as a dog. I finally get brought back and she immediately tells me she can't do anything for me until I get a negative covid test back, she also informed me that I would likely not get in to get a covid test for at least a day. She refused to touch me, acted almost scared of me. I felt completely dehumanized, there was no care whatsoever. Patients deserve to be treated with care and respect, not like we are dogs. I went to a different urgent care the following day and was treated like a decent human being, was taken seriously and they actually EXAMINED me and they provided care towards their patient. Not every little sickness is Covid and nobody deserves to be treated any less than a human being. Medical professionals treat their patients as an equal, not like their a dog that's tainted. I just experienced the worst customer service at the minute clinic at CVS on 32 ST and Bell, I had to give it one star because Yelp made me.....l made an appt on line for 3:00, checked in with my code they sent me when I made the appt. waited 35 minutes, Nurse (not Tony, she is amazing), comes out and calls the guy in front of me who barley spoke English, and told me she could not see me today. I mentioned I had made my appt on line 4 hours earlier, she said, "appts are schedule every 15 minutes and some appts take longer than others, I will not be seeing you, he will be my last appt today", took other guy, probably on AHCCCS, and closed the door in my face. On the last day of the year, and my new insurance cards are not here yet. How is this possible????? Don't worry lady, the fact that I can barely breath is no big deal read more
