Wowsers! I have the best experience today. Everyone was super nice from the receptionist to the doctor, but I have to pay special kudos to Christopher the office manager who was the nurse assisting me. I don't go to the doctor. I don't take medication and I don't like anything being done to me like shots or x-rays. So basically I'm like the worst patient ever. I had to go today, because I've been feeling lightheaded a bit dizzy and hearing my heartbeat at night, which sounds weird. OK I know, but anyways they decided to do an EKG and test my sugars, so Yep that means Christopher had to puncture my finger with something to test my blood. And he was the kindest most gentle man ever! I say that because basically I'm a big baby, and even at 62 years old, I do not like any sort of needle coming near my body. He did not roll his eyes at me or act like I was crazy he was super patient and understood my fears. He was very compassionate and I super appreciate him! My husband and I visited this urgent care on April 22, 2026. I'm leaving this review because Devon, the P.A., was extremely unprofessional. While waiting to be seen by him we heard him exit the room next to ours and begin to disclose that patient's information to a coworker. He was so loud we could hear him from our room. I know that is a violation of the patient's rights. When he entered our room he seemed informed of our situation. He had to examine my husband's wound and well-- he began shouting, "OH WOW THIS IS BAD. THIS IS SO BAD. I'M SO SORRY BRO. YOU GUYS NEED TO GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM LIKE RIGHT NOW." That may be slightly paraphrased but that was the gist of it. His panicking caused me to panic. As a professional, he is supposed to maintain his composure and direct the situation, not cause hysteria. Looking back on that event, I am very displeased with the situation. I brought my child in the evening before our 5am flight the next morning in order to rule out an infection. Karly at the front desk was amazing! She was kind and patient with me despite being a stressed out, hot mess. We were called back almost immediately and both the nurse and doctor were just as friendly and sweet. I came in for a small bump behind my ear, I scheduled my appointment in the early morning right as they opened. I was the first and only person in the building and sat in the waiting room for 15 minutes before getting taken back. After another 5 minutes of waiting in the room, the doctor came in, looked at my bump for 30 seconds, said "you need antibiotics" and walked out. She never told me what it actually was. 3 months later I received a bill, my insurance couldn't cover the entirety of the charge...they charged me $271 for a 30 second consultation where they provided no information. I had to visit urgent care on a Saturday evening and just went to the closest one I could find in somewhat of a panic. There was no one in the waiting room so I was fortunate to get in quickly after the arduous paperwork. David, NP Kristen, and X-ray tech Jordan took great care of me. They were very empathetic and helped calm my panic and anxiety from my wounds. They were very thorough and I was confident I received good care from these 3. I also had to call the next day with a followup question and Carla who answered the phone was so nice and helpful. She did just what she said she would and called me back as promised. They made me wait over two hours without providing any updates about my appointment. When I asked how much longer it would take, they gave me a vague response, saying it could be another 25 minutes or possibly even longer, with no certainty. I went in today to be seen for Eustachian tube issues which have been causing headaches. Had a very positive experience. I have gone one other time to this location and had a great experience as well. There were a couple people ahead of me. I waited about 20 minutes to be seen. not bad for an urgent care. All chairs and rooms were clean. staff were friendly and professional. I saw Suzanne who was very helpful. She understood my medical history. I tested positive with Covid 12 days ago. I came here to get paxlovid & did the whole treatment. Unfortunately after 4 days of testing negative after the treatment, I tested positive again today, with the same symptoms as before. I called this urgent care again to ask what I should do & the front desk attendant said "wow, that's unheard of!"... & I asked "what? rebound covid is unheard of!". When they told me when I was here last week, that it was a possibility...so I'm confused how it's unheard of then?".... Only got her to respond back "well just your antibodies probably showing up then, they can for up to 90 days..." which I reminded her "that I had tested negative for several days & felt better, just to wake up this morning & feel symptomatic again, with a positive test result"..... then she sighed & said "well maybe you just have a cold but if you want, you can come in and we will test you again".... while sounding super annoyed. WHAT? You didn't even test me last time, I did that myself at home. & you prescribed Paxlovid based off of that. What is the problem here? Why be argumentative with a patient who is experiencing the symptoms you told her might happen? Why act like I'm wasting your time looking for guidance on what to do, so I don't get others sick? Turned my 5 year old daughter away at 7:40 because they were closing at 8. Office staff went back to ask the provider because they felt bad for my daughter and the provider said no to seeing her. I called because i had a concern about a reoccurring migraine and asked if i could be seen and get a doctors note and she turned me down and said they can't do occupational. Banner keeps billing the wrong insurance then will lie to their customer that the claim was denied. First time, I've had to be on the phone for over 2 hours with both Banner and my insurance company rep until finally, they agreed to be on 3-way call and Banner finally billed the correct insurance and the balance went to zero. Recently had a second visit, and Banner made the exact same mistake, once again sending a message that the insurance denied the claim and that I owe the bill. I called them and told them exactly what to do, yet it still has not been resolved after a month. I've had to call them so many times asking them to fix this error, and in fact, made sure to give them my insurance card. Their customer service is useless, and they still did not bill the correct insurance. Honestly, I am not sure if they even billed any insurance. What is for certain at least is that my insurance did not receive any claims, and Banner is sending me bills and notifications that the claim was denied. read more

Do not trust banner urgent care for even the smallest health concerns and read all of their bad reviews on the internet before you decide who's hands to put your life in. They sent me an "auto-response" generated by a computer program which just adds your name at the top to try and trick you and anyone who reads it into thinking an actual human being read your review and actually cares about you. You can verify this by scrolling down and reading all of the other auto-responses to banner urgent care customers who were also not satisfied and/or received negligent treatment and/or diagnosis. Two days have gone by since this lame A.I. auto-generated response and I have not been contacted thus far by anyone representing Banner health or Banner Urgent Care, and there is no contact information they will provide to patients to make a complaint, so it is plain and clear here that when they realize they screwed up and endangered a patient's health or possibly put their life in danger, they choose to have a computer program smooth things out with a patient while their legal team and pr staff figures out whether they are in deep or not, typical American professional healthcare business under obamacare. She replies with the most sarcastic and cheerful tone "well then you all have it too". I said - um until we've been tested we actually don't know that. And she said "well you have it". I then said "why would you say that to someone? That isn't supportive or helpful at all." And she just nodded. I was feeling very sick and could not hold anything down. I came in because of the close location. I was able to get prescribed an anti-nausea med. it was sent to the wrong pharmacy and I was not able to find the location of the pharmacy the nurse sent it to. When I called the secretary named Juanita treated me like a piece of dirt. She actually laughed when I asked to speak to a manager. She then hung up on me. I don't see how they could keep a person who is very rude to patients have a position there. I do not recommend going to this location. I am waiting for a call from there corporate office. I don't typically write reviews but I had to share so hopefully others will go somewhere else. I want to start by saying it's an urgent care and demands are high but staffing is always low, I try to be as understanding as possible but I just had too bad of an experience. I went in last week with no appointment because another urgent care that I did have an appointment at said that their physician had an emergency and had to leave... so I just went to the next closest urgent care I could find which was this location. The front desk lady was very kind, she was honest with me and said the wait would be 1-2 hours, so I asked if I could make an appointment for later that day and she said yes and made me an appointment. I came in at 4:30 for my scheduled appointment and still didn't get called back until 5:30. I came to urgent care because I was having severe abdominal pain for numerous days at that point. They took a urine sample and the "doctor" finally came in to see me after about 15-20 mins. She asked me some basic questions then laid me down to feel my abdomen. She can see I'm clearly in pain as she's pressing down, then proceeds to ask me "do you eat?"... I say "yes of course I eat, haven't eaten much the past few days considering I'm in extreme pain but otherwise I eat normally." She said "hmm you must just have a fast metabolism huh?" Like I'm sorry but what does my weight have to do with anything at the moment? Then she proceeds to ask me if I could be pregnant and then goes "oh wait I forgot we got your urine sample back and everything came back negative so you're not." She just seemed to be a tad scatterbrained and kept forgetting things. In the end she said "I'm gonna tell you what I think and then you tell me if you think this sounds okay"... so long story short she feels my abdomen asks me a couple questions then said she was going to prescribe me anti nausea medicine (even though I wasn't nauseas and I told her this numerous times) then said if I was still in pain 24 hours from then to go to the emergency room. I just agreed knowing there wasn't much more she could do considering they have no ultrasound or CT scan to see what could really be happening. I then reiterated that I'm not nauseas but I'm just in a lot of pain then she said "oh yeah I forgot you said your not nauseas, I guess then I won't prescribe you that and I just won't give you anything." So I was sent home with nothing and no answers besides a possible diagnosis of "gastrointestinal distress". Which reading the packet and the symptoms of that I didn't have more than half of the symptoms. Next day I go to an urgent care/emergency room, was seen in under 40 mins and they found I had APPENDICITIS and I was immediately sent to a full hospital to get my appendix removed. Also come to find out my appendix had an abscess and was leaking so I needed antibiotics. I'm not saying she could've given me this diagnosis considering they don't have the proper equipment, but I think she most definitely could've recommend I go to the hospital immediately or try to recommend something to help alleviate my pain, not just question my weight or suspect it could be pregnancy even though she has test results in her hand saying I'm not pregnant. read more

The nurse practitioner, Monica Jeffers, was able to quickly identify the issue and help get my daughter the medication she needed to feel better in just a few days. Medication is kinda crucial in the healing process, if you can't do your jobs correctly find another profession. The health care provider I was assigned couldn't even answer most of my questions. My husband calls this place the bottom of the barrel for providers. Pretty accurate. Thirteen days ago, my throat started to hurt when I swallowed. I knew I was getting a cold. Sure enough, the next day, I was completely congested with very yellow mucus and sneezing. My throat was killing me and I had a low-grade fever (100.4). I was tested and as I suspected, I was negative for COVID. So, I did the reasonable thing: I took Advil, Mucinex, Sudafed, and drank lots of tea. There's really not much else you can do for a cold. After 7 days, I felt better, but I had lost my voice, I still had yellowish-green mucus, and I was congested. Not a big deal because a lot of colds last for 10 days. On Day 9, I woke up to a much higher fever than I had on Day 1 (101.7 degrees) making me feel extremely lethargic. The pressure on my molars and ears were incredibly painful and I had brain fog. I felt like death warmed over. On Day 10, I woke up to another fever and green puss coming out of my tear ducts, as well as swollen eyes and reddish-purple eye bags. Umm, that's not normal!! I probably had a bacterial sinus infection (or maybe strep) and I definitely had conjunctivitis (probably caught while Christmas shopping when my immune system was weak). On Day 12, I went to Banner Urgent Care. I felt like I was in the checkout line for Walmart. The bedside manner of the CNA/LPN (I'm guessing the nurse was not an RN) who took my vitals and the practitioner were horrible. I told the nurse, Chris, that I knew I had conjunctivitis and it seemed plausible that I had a bacterial sinus infection, but maybe I had bronchitis or strep. The nurse acted pretty dismissive about my educated guesses and left the exam room. Through the door, I could hear him mocking me! He acted like I had no idea what I was talking about. The provider came in and did an extremely expedited physical examination and oral history intake. He didn't listen to a word I said. He said my sinuses were swollen, my throat was red and I definitely had conjunctivitis, but I only had a viral sinus infection! He prescribed antibiotic eye drops for my conjunctivitis but would not write a prescription for oral antibiotics to treat my sinus infection. I reminded him that I had had yellowish-green mucus for more than 10 days, but he said that didn't matter; it was simply a viral infection. For the record, there is absolutely no way to accurately diagnose a bacterial sinus infection versus a viral sinus infection. That's why (competent) doctors use two methods to determine whether they need to prescribe antibiotics for a (suspected) bacterial infection: 1) When a patient has thick, colorful nasal discharge and/or facial pressure or pain for at least 10 days, they meet criteria for antibiotic treatment. 2) If a patient has had those symptoms, but the symptoms seemed to start improving and then got worse again, then even if it's been less than 10 days, they meet criteria for antibiotic treatment. It's called "double-worsening". I met both criteria! I called Banner Urgent Care the next day and begged for oral antibiotics, but the nurse who mocked me in the hall the previous day, Chris, told me that green mucus was not an indication of a bacterial infection. He then called me "dear" in the way that so many men do, in an attempt to make you feel stupid and two feet tall. "Dear, I'm not the provider. You'll have to talk to him; he's the one with the college degree." All evidence to the contrary, dear. I gave up and made a virtual appointment with Dr. on Demand. The appointment cost me $75 (half the price of Banner) and the doctor said it seemed pretty clear I had a bacterial infection. He immediately prescribed amoxicillin. He was so kind, asked me great questions, and answered all of mine. I picked up the prescription and the pressure/pain in my face is already getting better. I would avoid this place at all costs! There are better providers out there. I have no idea how (or if) this place meets JCAHO standards. I'm definitely considering submitting a complaint because I'm positive this experience does not meet The Joint Commission's requirements for quality care. read more

DISCRIMINATION!!!! There would a zero stars if I could. My daughter did a home test this morning and tested positive for covid. We immediately started looking for a place to get an infusion of monoclonal antibodies. I called this place and was told by the man on the phone that they COULD do monoclonal but that they were prescribing an different antiviral instead. He told me to bring her in. After an hour wait (NO ONE ELSE WAS THERE.... NOT ONE PERSON) the nurse practitioner came in. She started off very pleasant, but then she asked my daughter if she was vaccinated. When my daughter said "no", her demeaner immediately changed. This is a common occurrence with health care workers , but it is unacceptable. Suddenly, my daughter did not qualify for any help since she is "young". (I was told I was too old) This is just what they do when you are not vaccinated. What a waste of time and money. My daughter received NO care but will still have to pay for this lack of service and wasted an hour waiting while she was feeling so badly. Just awful service. They have signs all over that say they will not tolerate aggressive behavior. I suddenly understood why someone would get aggressive. What ever happened to "my body, my choice", doing our own research and coming to the conclusion we do not wish to participate as human Guinea pigs for the government. SMH We should not be discriminated against because we actually FOLLOW the science and not the lies of Fauci. Nasty woman. I'm just over it! read more

Waited for over an hour only to be told they couldn't tell me how long it was going to take. The iPad kiosk they had me check into was putting me two hours out at first and it kept bumping up my time more and more the longer I waited. It was me and two others in the waiting room so I'm not sure why the long wait and why the wait time kept getting stretched out. Meanwhile, the guy at the front desk didn't get off his phone the entire time I was there. I ended up just walking out and dude at the front desk was still on his phone as I left. He almost couldn't be bothered when I asked for my insurance card and ID back so I could leave. This place is a complete crap show and nothing but a joke. The 1st visit I went here I had my daughter about 8 months or so ago and was strictly breast feeding and they told me I was pregnant again from their cheap dip stick pregnancy tests. After I went to the nearest hospital who I sat in the waiting room for 3 hours just to get a blood draw-sure enough I was indeed NOT pregnant. The kicker? I was sent to collections for that visit. The blood draw? Cost me over $1,000! After fighting that for the past 2 years and did I forget to mention? The staff was talking so loudly about how I should really try not to get pregnant so quickly after just having a baby- because I was young there was no way I could " afford" that. What a HIPPA violation!!! This last visit I went just last night. Checked in to my appointment with 1 lady in front of me- waiting 20/25 minutes to be taken back (did I mention I had an appointment?) then sat there for another 30 minutes without even being talked to. I left. So disappointed. There is no way this is a "banner" facility. This place is truly a disappointment . I hope corporate goes back in and retrains this staff to smile and have a small sense of urgency. They should drop the "urgent" out of the name because that is something is facility lacks for sure! read more

I went to get a Covid test, after being exposed. I have memory issues so, I typed the numerous symptoms that I've had in the past few days down into my phone to help me remember and, so I got them all and didn't repeat myself.. I was getting ready to look at that after being called back, when the nurse decided that she needed to yell at me, and tell me, I wasn't allowed to do that, meaning googling the symptoms. First of all, don't assume that just because I open my phone, that I'm googling symptoms, and second of all, even if I was, there is nothing illegal about googling symptoms or using your phone while talking to a medical professional during an exam. Add to that, the fact that the walls in these exam rooms are paper thin and you can hear conversations in the rooms next to you. I would definitely not recommend this place, I spoke to the office manager who thought it was appropriate to talk over me and keep interrupting me while I was trying to explain the situation. If you're going to excuse your nurses getting mad at patients for looking at their phone at a list of their symptoms when she doesn't even know why they need to do that, I will go elsewhere, because I don't need that stress and hassle on top of feeling ill. Besides, there is nothing illegal about it nor is it any type of HIPAA violation or anything like that. Y'all need to chill out, because, that's a reasonable accommodation, and I needed it due to disability, but since you want to be like that, I'll save myself the stress and hassle and go somewhere that isn't gonna get mad at me for needing help remembering my symptoms. I emailed back but, I haven't heard back! Must be some generic reply that gets posted to every negative comment, to save face for any potential patients. Every time I'm seen at their facility; the staff is wonderful and the providers tell me the truth. I trust the providers to do their jobs and share their expert knowledge with me. Writing a review for an Urgent Care is difficult as everyone walking in is experiencing some sort of pain or discomfort that can make the experience less then expected. Today I walked in here and had never been here before. I was embarrassed and crying from a dog bite on my hand and there was a few people already waiting. From the check in to check out everything went smooth. The other people waiting in the lobby were being called back fast as I was also. The MA as well as the PA Peter explained everything to me thoroughly. They treated me with respect and told me what to expect from my injury as well as what to do in case the bite became infected even though the worst case scenario was unlikely. I came in here overwhelmed and left calm. So thankful for these providers today! Side note- my mother stopped in here when she was visiting from Chicago a few weeks ago to get antibiotics for strep she caught while traveling and felt the same about her treatment here. Definitely would recommend! Update: I checked in last night at 7:35 in some pretty bad pain. I was pretty sure I knew what was wrong as I've had the same condition before and I just needed a provider to reassure me. The medical assistant that was working registration was so friendly and so sweet. She told me at check in it was going to be a long wait and she continuously apologized to everyone waiting in the lobby multiple times and offered water while we all waited. I wish I knew her name, I would send her a VIP through the Banner system!!! My only and major complaint. I wasn't seen by anyone until about 9:15pm. There was only ONE provider on staff for the location. I was sort of shocked because there was five people waiting in the lobby before me AND people waiting in the rooms in the back. When Shawna, NP came in the room she was very nice and attentive but you could tell she was tired and had a very long day. You would think they would want an appropriate number of providers there for a Saturday so that the staff doesn't get burned out AND patients wouldn't have to wait so long. That doesn't seem to match with Banner's core values. I'm keeping my review at 4 stars due to the amazing three people who kept their heads up while they were short staffed last night. Used to come here as my primary urgent care facility. However, now I'm getting a retroactive bill over a year and a half later because of changes in "COVID" billing? I didn't go in for anything COVID related. I can't even reach the billing department as they only are open between 8am and 4pm. The last thing anyone wants to worry about is how you're going to be treated when you're sick or in pain. I recently got hurt while at the gym and decided to go to Banner Urgent Care to get checked out. Everyone there was friendly and professional. The wait from the waiting room wasn't too terrible. The front desk attendant was very accommodating when I asked him for an ice pack for my wounds (I'd tripped while running and put my hands out to break my fall, skinning my palms). Once they called my name and brought me to one of the waiting rooms in the back, I was tended to by Aaron. He's a hoot! Kept me laughing the whole time, which made cleaning my open wounds a little more tolerable. The nurse practitioner, Noah, was very professional and calm. Both of these guys were great! After being cleaned up and bandaged, I walked through the hall to the exit and they waved. Nice guys. I hope I never see them again... lol! read more
