I returned at 12:00 p.m., only to wait an additional hour and fifteen minutes. Once I was finally brought back to a room, I was told the wait would be even longer, with no estimated timeframe provided. The lack of communication from the front desk was extremely frustrating and made the entire experience feel disorganized and disrespectful of patients' time. I understand delays can happen--especially around the holidays--but clearer updates and transparency would have gone a long way. I would not recommend booking an appointment here during busy periods and will not be returning.

Loyal Patient Publicly Humiliated and Denied Care Due to Their Billing Error!…read more I've been coming to CareSpot for over 3 years. The Fleming Island locationfor nearly 1 and a half years;averaging about six visits a year, and up until now, all of my bills have been paid without issue,i go in for the same exact issue every time. A visit in 2022 and 2023 was not billed correctly and it was submitted with insufficient information to my insurance company, bear in mind I go in for almost the same issue most times,so I know my insurance definitely covers these treatments. My insurance company has reached out numerous times to get the records, but carespot has ignored the requests,so it shows as unpaid, unpaid due to their negligence.I even called this year asking them to please send the insurance The requested documentation, but nothing. My most recent experience was nothing short of humiliating and unprofessional. I was denied medical treatment due to a billing issue caused entirely by CareSpot's failure to send requested documentation to my insurance company. The insurance clearly stated in writing that they were waiting for medical records from CareSpot that were never provided--yet instead of resolving the issue, the staff insulted me in the lobby and refused to treat me. Despite my long history as a loyal and responsible patient with no unpaid balances, they treated me like I was trying to dodge a bill. This was not just poor customer service--it was a complete disregard for human decency and basic medical ethics. If you care about respectful treatment and responsible billing practices, I highly recommend going elsewhere. No patient should ever be denied care due to a provider's own administrative negligence.

"Is this clean".."ah, yah." Not feeling confident in an accused care clinic with very lax covid procedures. There should be sanitizer everywhere! Seats are ripped and dirty, so I will gladly stand. This use to be where I recommended all gc/burgh peeps to go. After today...looking for new place. Positive-call ahead appts vs waiting for hrs. I appreciate that. But a lil concerned that 4 people in line w me all had 1230 appts. How many appts do they make? They said appts every 15min. So we shall see!!! 1230 appt, its 20min and counting. I will update once I get seen. The 3 before me haven't been seen yet either. Then I wonder...she takes my Id. Sits it with 4 others...how clean is THAT??? I surely have bo sanitizer to reclean it. Lol. Update: tried charging me, couldn't see that we've met our deductible. Update: 1:20 still waiting for my 1230 appt. 130 in exam room. Staff in back are very kind, and caring. Adding 1 star for them. Nurse was awesome and Linda the PA was quick and efficient and caring. Kudos to those two gals! See, gotta find the good w the bad. Lol

Provider (James Cartwright per paperwork) did not even knock upon entering the patient room,…read moremumbled his name so much so that I didn't understand him then looked in my son's ear and said it was "bad." He inserted something to prevent it from swelling shut and prescribed an antibiotic and some drops. Having had a child that suffered with ear infections, I asked if he was calling in a specific drop? He explained that it was more expensive than the one he was calling in but if it didn't work, to go to a specialist or ER. WHAT? Why not call in the better Rx? When I called on Monday and left a message, he didn't respond. On Tuesday they had no record of my call, but he was in. When the kind lady on the phone returned, all she could share was that he said to go to the ER, and she mentioned that he said he had already explained that to us. It is not ER worthy as I work for a large healthcare organization who encouraged me to call and request the new drops. The provider did not attempt to speak with me so that I could explain. I will NEVER step foot in this facility again nor would I ever recommend anyone else do so! The front desk staff are amazing but, unfortunately, the provider seemed like he was bothered to be there!

This one (Monument Rd) required a chest xray though my dr had listed what he wanted from this exam and an xray was not part of it. I tried to explain this to the office staff who was very rude and adamant that their policy is I would have to get that xray for them to clear me. Even the office manager said I had to have the xray. While I was sitting in the lobby, I called the CareSpot at 410 Atlantic Blvd to ask if they require a chest xray for this pre cataract clearance. The person answering the phone thought that funny/odd. She said they do not require anything that the dr didn't specify was needed. So, I walked out of the one on Monument Road where everyone I encountered was rude to have a totally opposite experience at this one. ( I don't understand how on earth the policies can be so different at the various locations from the same company.). Every staff member here was very polite and professional. The exam was just as ordered by my doctor with no requirement for unnecessary tests. The lobby was very clean (opposite from Monument Rd) and calming. I was in and out in the amount of time I wasted sitting in the waiting room of the other facility.

Had the absolute worst experience with my total hysterectomy here yesterday with the preop staff…read more I'm a certified vascular access RN and ER RN with over 24 years of experience in my field. I came into this with this surgery being my 6th surgery in 13 months. I've been a professional patient and certified pin cushion lately. I'm aware that I am a hard stick and notified staff of this. I also told them I was severely traumatized by my last operative experience and even as they initially brought me back I was begging for them to let my husband, my one source of comfort come back. It was denied. I was terrified and only wanted him and was bawling my eyes out the entire time just begging for him to be allowed back. It continued to be denied. As it came time to place my IV I directed the nurse to my best venous access sites and the nurse was unsuccessful. After the 4th attempt I asked for an ultrasound guided IV to help prevent me more pain. My nurse Erin got frustrated when she was looking at a particular spot and I told her 'I'm going to need an ultrasound I'm telling you' and she dropped the gurney, threw her hands up and let out a frustrated sigh and said 'ok'. Way to make me feel heard there. They refused to do that. Anesthesia was able to get a 22g in my hand that eventually blew like I told them it would. I told them areas specifically to avoid due to knowing these sites wouldn't work. Intraop 6 more attempts were made specifically in places I requested to not be attempted for cannulation. I woke up seeing all these bruises and feeling completely violated as I did not consent for what they did to me. I know my own body. I came in terrified and traumatized and left even more so. I expected more of Baptist than this. A patient advocate contacted me and you could tell by her tone that she did not give a half a crap about this. Do not recommend this hospital they do not respect patients and their bodily autonomy and will do whatever they please to you at your most vulnerable state. They also will refuse you your support person. Absolutely zero compassion and kindness
